Its because the haves usually hate the have-nots. In many ways, sex/gender politics has an element of ruthless capitalism to it. Men, disproportionally compared to women, are the have nots. Just like rich conservatives, feminists don't want to acknowledge the plight of the poor (men) lest it threaten their own power base and reveal the inequalities.

Men struggle because they don't take advantage of their privilege. Or, the Patriarchy hurts men too. But really, men have so much privilege and literally ANY man can succeed and if they don't, well, that's simply because they must be incompetent. If a woman had that privilege...

men's struggles are due to their own individual moral failings and responsibilities.

The point they never get is when this exact issue is brought up, it specifically looks at the reaction from the mainstream - not some obscure corner of Reddit or other insignificant message board. By mainstream we mean things like Hollywood, advertising, mainstream news, social media, public education, big corp, other government programs.

For example, look at how the mainstream responded to the lack of girls (in a few cherry-picked) STEM fields (while ignoring other STEM fields like veterinary science) and then compare it to the response of the boys education gap.

Tells you everything.

One has hundreds of millions in outreach across the entire mainstream, the other has the usual you need to do better scolding and eye rolling.

It's actually pretty common to see feminists on reddit proclaim "feminism helps men too!" but in practice that almost never happens.

I am one of the lonely men. Despite being a man who works out 7 days a week, has an excellent paying job, and is self-sufficient, I am still very much struggling with dating at 32 years old.

I remember reading a post on TwoX once that said "Men, if you want to date women all that matters is RESPECT!" I died laughing reading that one. Literally my entire life I've seen nothing but counterexamples to that.

A common insult feminists will sling at me is "You're angry" well no shit. I haven't felt loved my entire life, of course I'm angry. I'm lucky to get 3 matches a month on dating apps. I'm sure that has a lot to do with my "personality".

I think it’s more the fact that they pretend to give a shit. I’d much rather a “yeah, fuck lonely men and I don’t care about male suicide”, but instead of this, they force people to listen to their empty proclamations about how men need to open up like wonderful women do.

I’ve seen so many men in my life just overtly say “I don’t care about… (some social justice issue)” and it’s so much easier to be like “oh, alright, no problem”.

It’s the unearned moral posturing that gets me.

The problem is feminism is an ideology, it isn't based on evidence. To see this just look at how much of feminist research has been completely discredited. You can pretty much destroy any paper produced by a Gender Studies department with high school maths. Their academic standards are a joke.

Lonely men, isolated men don't fit in with feminist ideology. In the feminist world view men are privileged, economically, socially and sexually. Male social and sexual failure should not exist in their world view.

Like any group of religious fanatics, when confronted by rational evidence that contradicts their faith. They go on the offensive and call those making such claims heretics. If that doesn't work, they have desperately contort the evidence to fit their world view.

Therefore lonely men are still privileged but they can't exploit that privilege because they are toxic. This line of thinking is clearly non-sense. For a start it undermines one of the bedrocks of feminism, that the world is full of toxic men out to oppress women. If feminist claims about incels and other lonely men are correct. That their toxicity stops them succeeding, then no toxic men should ever be in a position to oppress women, their toxicity should leave them powerless.

The reality is of course a lot more complex than simple minded feminists believe. Privilege doesn't work the way they think it does. It is laughable to claim all men are privileged or that no men suffer disadvantage. Alas you can't make such arguments because the feminist religion is so powerful and will not allow heretical thought.

The language games of captialist social justice seems to obfuscate from working towards collective liberation. They don't want men and women to examine the systems that produce terrible social outcomes.

There are a lot of guys who fall down a dangerous incel/sexist & entitled rabbit hole. The rise of the right wing manosphere is evidence of the system failing men. It's understandable to me how some women could form negative stereotypes about lonely men as a result.

I think some feminists ignore that the patriarchal structures that oppress women, also alienate men from their being. Rather than gender identity acting as one aspect of being, our norms often produce binary gendered social expectations. Men need a sense of community that isn't reactionary and based solely on individual solutions.

I do think most leftist/actually progressive feminists are compassionate to men's problems.

The issue is systemic, systemic issues created by men... if someone is punching themselves in the face what can you actually do about that when they, more often than not punch you in the face?

This is the case. Women have been on the receiving end of male tyranny for quite some time, so there's not tons of empathy there for their oppressors. Of course, that male tyranny also terrorized men. Through demonizing "feminine" (in other words, human) traits.

So now we have a more equal society where women are, broadly speaking, out from under the patriarchal boot mostly. But that boot, is still on men's necks and since women have a choice, they choose to not engage... seeing the long sordid history of how women were treated by men for... centuries...

So now men are kind of out in the cold... we have this antiquated way of being and it this way of being hurts us and all the people we oppressed or made feel like property (women for example) don't really have much sympathy for us. Rightfully so.

Feminists don't hate lonely men, Feminists understand abusive relationships. That's why they don't engage with lonely men. Because in their minds, men being lonely is the result of propping up patriarchy and seeing as that same patriarchy is abusive, they're indifferent.

So that leaves us, to fix our own problem. It's one we created, it's one we need to fix. Simple as that.

Where men are today, has nothing to do with women or Feminism. It has everything to do with they way men socialized and the way men socialize each other. We did this to ourselves. No one did this to us.

I am in a relationship with a man who was lonely b4 me and he turned into a really cruel person. I have realized some people are lonely bc they don’t really like themselves and are thus suspicious of others and prone to tearing other people down to make themselves feel better.

I would never date another person with limited or no dating experience that hadn’t been to some counseling to get to know why they’re lonely bc sometimes it is definitely a you issue (lack of trust, self esteem, ability to empathize, be vulnerable and emotionally initimate)
