Inferiority complex: these women believe men to have the 'power' and by putting the men with this alleged 'power' down they claim an even 'higher power' for themselves (i.e. 'This guy is really powerful and I just treated him like crap and he did absolutely nothing about it meaning I need to be far more powerful than he is').
It's an infantile monkey game; better don't participate and just let them leave because otherwise they'll start unnecessary drama which is bad for business. A stereotypical man who knows his worth should stand above all this pettiness and this one of the gender stereotypes that toxic women use to their advantage.

Did you ever watch "StarTrek, the next generation"? They had one big burly character who was supposed to be particularly tough and strong. We are told that he is particularly tough and strong, but we don't really see it. We do see him get his ass kicked constantly. Why?

Lazy writing. The writers introduces some new character and need to demonstrate how powerful they are. The easiest way to do that is to have them kick Warf's ass. It keeps happening because they have to introduce new characters constantly, and the writers don't bother to actually show Warf actually be a bad ass. The result devalues the character, it stops making sense if the measure of strength is never actually shown as strong.

girl power is 99% lazy writing. Instead of coming up with something that makes sense, they constantly try to assert their girl power by trying to make men look weak by comparison. It's their only yardstick for success.

Don’t judge the cashier too harshly. He’s doing his job and trying to keep the customer happy while trying to get her out of the store. If he said anything along the lines of “that’s sexist and misandrist”, the customer would complain and he would be fired.
I’ve had jobs where I’ve needed to interact with clients. I’ve heard some really stupid and insulting shit come out of their mouths. I had to remind myself that the only thing that matters is their money, and just smile and nod.

it's very simple. If an ideology sees people as pertaining to a group instead of as individuals, and it frames the world as a battle between those groups for power, then a strategy is to berate members of other groups as they are a representation of their group.

It use to be them putting down other women. If you observe workplaces, schools, or even 2000s movies (or earlier), the way a powerful female character is established is by them putting down other women. Suddenly this isn't enough anymore so now we need a very skinny short woman beating up strong burly men to establish a powerful woman in cinema.

Typical bullies going for the easy target to make themselves feel better in their insignificant lives, to give them the sense of power over somebody. It's really not true that only men can behave like that, the entire feminist empowerment narrative is built on it. In this case men are the easy target since men under normal circumstances aren't allowed socially to stand up for themselves against women, or even just disagree since the consequences can be rather severe, from mental or physical abuse to white knights getting involved to false accusations ruining their entire lives with little to no option for protection.

I cringe every time I see little girls wearing shirts with messages that go beyond empowerment into designating their gender as some kind of superpower or something special. There was even a shirt reading "Girls rule and boys drool." It's "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them" all over again except at least the misandry was upfront for people to see in the latter.
