That isn't the mother. This is the mother. The woman in the picture you are stressing over was identified in other articles as a friend and member of some white power organization Campbell is involved in, or something to that effect.

The two are estranged and the article is addressing his individual attempts to get visitation and custody.

You are creating an issue where there is none.

FACT: In New Jersey only the mother has the legal authority to select a child's name. If the father wants any changes, he has to submit a "correcting vital records" form, which is difficult court process.

QUESTION: Why does MSN want to pretend that the mother played no role in raising these children? Why frame this as a "bigot dad" situation, when NAZI mom has made all of the important decisions, and has always been there in court right next to her NAZI husband? Why go to the extreme of editing the picture to remove mother? Can anyone think of a different situation where a news organization could get away with editing a mother out of picture to minimize her role in the children's lives? In normal custody situation that are covered by the media, which parent is shown (with the children) in the story caption?

Folks, it looks like we finally found a situation where the "tender years doctrine" does not apply, and the father's role in the kids life is emphasized. Just name your children after NAZIs, and the courts and media will pretend like mom does not exist ... just like they pretend that dad does not exist in all other situations.

Feminism is a disgusting hate movement. And this story, written from an entirely different perspective than 99.999999% of all custody stories, underlies the hateful poison that feminism has injected into the national culture and court system.

Here is the RIGHT way to write this story, MSN, in case you ever decide to take your heads out of your asses and learn professional journalist ethics: Great that these children were taken away from these two parents. BOTH parents are unfit, BOTH parents deserve to lose their children, because BOTH parents are NAZIs. If anything, the mother is MORE responsible, since it was the mother who legally named the children after NAZIs.

I'm pretty sure the reason this article is focused on the father is because only the father is fighting for custody of the children. I don't think they're "pretending" the mother was never there, I think she actually wasn't there for this hearing, because she's not fighting for custody. And she was probably cropped out of the photo for the same reason - it was a photo from a past hearing, and it would have given the impression that she was at this hearing.

I believe the women in the picture is his new girlfriend, not the mother of the other children. The father was trying to get custody since in another story, the one about the next child being named Eva or Rommel, it talks about his estranged wife as the mother of the other children. So while still bad reporting, the case was just about the father trying to get custody.

This is a bullshit headline.

The mother wasn't pictured because she isn't seeking visitation. She doesn't have custody either; the children are in foster care.
However terrible a person she may be, the mother is a private citizen at severe risk of harassment, and doesn't need her image in the news when she hasn't done anything recently newsworthy. This story is about the father's current attempt to see his children. It is NOT about their seizure by the state years ago.
The kids were removed because of violence in the home. While this can certainly be disputed, these people are lunatics, and you are a lunatic if you take their word over CPS - however flawed CPS may be in some cases.
If their naming scheme doesn't tell you they are lunatics, the fact that they think a grocery store can discriminate against them or anyone by refusing to scrawl hate speech on a cake ought to have clued you in.

And while we're at it, adulation of the dead figurehead for an extinct political movement from a country which no longer exists does not constitute a set of political beliefs.

Look for changes in the text next, to re-insert the mother into some kind of supporting role. In the original story, there was no mention of a mother at all, I guess the bigots got caught red handed :)

Men are hyper-responsible...this is what it actually means when people say a guy has to 'step up and take charge.' It means being responsible for the shittiest parts of a bad situation. This is just another example of that. It was never about dominance and control in the first place - those were just a means to an end (how can you take responsibility for a situation you can't even get control of in the first place?). Well, these days, you don't even have to be in control to take 100% of the blame. /shrug

A judge has denied custody to a father who came to court in a Nazi uniform to get back his youngest child.

A hearing was held last month at Hunterdon County Family Court in Flemington, N.J., to determine whether Heath Campbell, 40, who gave all four of his children Nazi-inspired names, could visit with his 2-year-old son Heinrich Hons.

The New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services (NJ DYFS) said they took the boy because of previous violence in the home. An anonymous abuse claim was also made to local police.

The couple said they never abused their children and argued they were being targeted for the names they chose for their kids. Officials have denied that to be the case.

NJ DYFS officials had already placed Heinrich Hons Campbell's older siblings – Adolf Hitler Campbell, 7, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 6, and 5-year-old Honzlynn Jeannie Campbell – in foster care because of the alleged violence in the family's Holland Township, N.J. home.

The Campbells gained national attention in December 2008 after a Greenwich Township, N.J., ShopRite supermarket refused to write Adolf Hitler Campbell’s name on a cake for his third birthday. The couple complained the refusal constituted discrimination.

A second store eventually honored their request, but the flap led NJ DYFS to start an investigation into the family.

The agency's investigation prompted a judge to remove the kids from the couple’s care.

Campbell says he will appeal Thursday’s decision.

A lot of people here are saying that the children are being taken away from the parents because the parents are Nazis. Now, this may be true, but the initial investigation was for abuse, which, given what the parents support, is not all that surprising. Even if the children are being taken away from the parents simply because the parents are Nazis, I don't actually have a problem with that. Taking the children away from their parents because their parents support genocide makes sense to me; it's the simplest way to prevent Nazism from spreading, which is a good thing.
