Apparently the manosphere thinks that women are "sexually harassing" men by wearing makeup and revealing clothes. Female beauty is seen as aggression against men, which in their mind justifies male violence against women. I wonder if the Atlanta shooter spent any time on Reddit incel forums 🤔

I'm so happy for this woman! Here is a prime example of a HVM. He shows up to her presentation to show his support, AND demonstrates active listening skills, AND helps to enhance her career. More men should aspire to be like this.

Standing up for women has never been popular, which explains the backlash against FDS. It's worth it because I can already see our culture changing. More and more women are choosing to be bold, have non-negotiable boundaries, and speak up unapologetically.

The same scrotes will also say, in the same breath, that a woman who doesn't bother with hair, makeup, and dressy clothes.. has let herself go and not worthy of male attention.

My scrote-y ex called me a 'plain jane' when I was with him. I said, 'nice to know you find me unattractive.' He backpedaled by saying I misunderstood him, he only meant because I wasn't into makeup and hair. However, during one particularly vicious argument, he screamed at me how fat, ugly, and dumpy I was, and that nobody else wanted me. Just remembering it makes my blood boil.

What led to this argument? He abused my cat and I called him out on it.

When called out, LVMs and NVMs will say and do something even more vile and abusive before they’d say sorry.

wow I am so happy you are out of that relationship. Here is to a life of joy and fulfillment with a man who does cherish, admire, and adores you. ⭐️

Balding old fat men don’t get to judge women’s appearance, mostly because no woman cares and most women are smarter than porn sick brains that are fried.

[–]airhostess_inthe60sFDS Newbie 102 points103 points104 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This has nothing to do with how we dress!!! I think that men are simply threatened by our presence in public spaces. They still operate with their caveman brains. And to them we should be chained to a kitchen stove somewhere.

I always think back to this experiment as an example (Video Here). Even covered from head to toe, the actor continues to be harassed.

This!!!!!

[–]File-OwnFDS Newbie 88 points89 points90 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

It's being taught to them young too. I'm in my twenties but look "young" and regularly have to deal with this crap from teenagers who think I'm a peer.

I was just walking down the pavement (looking decent in a nice jacket and skinny jeans) and had a teenage boy kicking a football about in front of his friends first try to get my attention by "dribbling" it in front of me. When I ignored him and walked past, the ball ended up hitting me - not sure if it was an accident or an LVM little scrote lashing out at an attractive woman for not giving him attention. He and his friends laughed. No apology.

I promptly took out my phone and started filming, followed them down the road, shouted at him to come back and told him off - I also had a bad day at work today so didn't hold back. He apologised and said that it was an accident but I made it VERY clear it wasn't acceptable behaviour.

[–]Struggleis4real63 points 5 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

My phone is my go-to defense and I will record anyone who thinks their behavior is “ok” when it’s not. It doesn’t get uploaded anywhere, but boy do they switch their tune when the thought of what I might do with it coupled with social media is enough of a paranoia scare tactic for them.

[–]File-OwnFDS Newbie 62 points63 points64 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, it's funny how they went from being jeering when it happened to shutting up and letting the kid responsible stutter out an apology once they saw I was filming.

Three teenage boys harassing a lone woman down a side street. So much for #notallmen.

What the fuck reading this was just sickening.

You can have a world full of women who only wear burkas and the men will complain their eyes were tempting.

Then have the women cover the eyes too, I believe it’s called the niqab and then they’ll say the woman’s voice was tempting.

The fuck you want from us?? Voice altering device too????

And in any case this stupid argument over clothing doesn’t hold because men have raped children in CHILDRENS CLOTHES and you’re gonna blame the tiny princess outfit for tempting you there?????

FUCKING SICKENING and the fact that there are policies that keep supporting the control of women’s clothing and bodies goes to show how many men in power think that way. As Sloss have said “even if it’s 1/10 if the 9/10 do nothing then they may as well not be there.”

IT’S ALL MEN UNTIL WE CAN FEEL SAFE

The men of the manosphere also accuse women who wear makeup of "rape by deception".

[–]ColdxConfectionFDS Newbie 32 points33 points34 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But when they stealth, (which is ACTUALLY rape by deception because you wouldn't have agreed to sex without a condom to begin with) they "don't understand" why it's such a big deal and you should just get over it.

[–]_RustInPiece_ 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, idk, I can't take them seriously for all those whiny, irrational statements stemming from victim mentality. Like they even compare divorce to rape. I'm not even mad anymore...

[–]midwesternwinds 144 points145 points146 points 5 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

Aaaaand this is why beauty privilege is a myth only libfems and misogynist men spout. Being conventionally attractive or outwardly feminine or whatever... it doesn't protect you. It doesn't even make men respect you. If I have to see another so called feminist whine that beautiful women have it easy I'll rip my hair out strand by strand.

Attractive women are seen as inherently "asking for it" because their looks "provoke" men. Like it's their choice to have good bone structures or a fit body. They're inherently seen as unworthy of admiration for their achievments because it's assumed by all that her looks are what really got her there. And libfems encourage this by finger-wagging pretty women as conforming to male beauty preferences, which is in its own way saying they're asking for it.

[–]_differentmentality_ 114 points115 points116 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Being attractive to men doesn’t make them respect you, it just gives them a reason to pretend to.

This reminds me of those poor girls in middle school who developed early, and got called a slut because they had large breasts. The misogyny goes back to the cradle.

[–]myousernameRuthless Strategist[S] 83 points84 points85 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was one of those girls :( imagine being called a slut at ten years old and you don't even know what sex is.

[–]IndividualRoutine661FDS Newbie 50 points51 points52 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was one of those girls, tall and skinny with big boobs by the time I was 13. Puberty was an agony of sexual harassment, sexual assault, constant catcalling. Decades later I still feel those hands on my bra strap. It was AWFUL. and now being hot is supposed to be “empowering”. Just no.

[–]WorkaholicPartyFDS Newbie 17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yep, people will scoff and say you're humble bragging but it's awful to be an innocent child and to basically be slut shamed by your own parents if you wear normal 'appropriate' clothes. And even if you wear long pants and sweats during the summer you still attract unwanted attention because you stand out. So now you have to find clothes that have the magic fit but can't be seen as provocative. The worst was when you'd have to change clothes and wear the same thing as everyone else like a sport uniform or school t shirt and suddenly the fit gets compared.

[–]yomommahouseFDS Newbie 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, I was one of those girls! At 11 years old I had pretty big boobs already. I was constantly being harassed by guys at school, they would literally walk up to me and grab my boobs in the hallways or wherever. Also lots of pervy teachers staring at my boobs too I was so traumatized by this. I remember going home and crying and getting glasses of ice water, laying down and placing them on my breasts to try and make my boobs smaller so the boys would stop touching me. I thought the ice would make the "swelling" go down. I hated the attention so much, and I even tried to wear clothes to hide them. When I did that I'd get harassed even more by the guys trying to lift my shirt up or asking me why I'm hiding my boobs. I was always jealous of my friends that hadn't developed yet, i felt like such a freak

[–]VikingDotter 27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Damn, I was one of those girls. My teacher (woman) told me to not wear tank tops anymore because it was impacting the boys. My small boobed friends wore tank tops that showed more of their boobs than me, but mine were somehow more offensive and vulgar so they told me to cover up. I remember wondering what’s so wrong with my breasts? What was wrong with having big ones? Up until then I’d always heard that women are supposed to have big ones, and yet there I was, being told to cover them up.

[–]VikingDotter 31 points32 points33 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That’s definitely not my point, and I’m sorry I didn’t clarify. I simply experienced that my friends were treated as less vulgar because they had smaller breasts than me, and I noted that my breasts that were out of my control ended up impacting how people saw and treated me.

Big or small, all breasts are wonderful and I believe everyone should love theirs 💕 thank you for filling in where I was lacking.

[–]Prestigious_Spray_34FDS Newbie 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I get it. The brief topic was kids having large breasts, which is not expected. The topic wasn’t older teens who have small breasts. There was nothing wrong with your statement. All of these topics can be addressed without someone acting as if it is a competition.

[–]Catharticoverdrive 59 points60 points61 points 5 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

i disagree, and I speak that as a radfem. The most vitriolic (now banned) feminist community was created by the f++cels (who were better than incels by a long shot) and lookism was a pretty significant discussion there. I wish I could provide some links, but that sub is gone because Big Brother has always been male.

If pretty women get treated like trash, ugly women get treated like dog-shit stuck to the soles of men's shoes. They both feel oppression from the patriarchy, because they're women, but men are lookist, and they're lookist as fuck. Have you seen how angry they get when they see an ugly femalr character or an ugly woman in media? It's terrifying. I'm 99% sure the beauty industry and body insecurity exists due to male lookism, and that if we brought male lookism down to the level of female lookism the beauty industry would crash and burn

Prettier women get better job opportunities, become more successful and popular in the public eye, get facades of a social life, simply get seen as better people (due to the Halo-Effect). To be frank, men made 'pretty' the cost of existing as female (but they still hate the women who are pretty, no lie.) If I looked at the number of ugly-as-feet men in the media, then counted the number of ugly women in the media on one hand, my hand would be a fist. Most men aren't even willing to talk to ugly women, ignoring them or refusing to see them as women altogether, or actively shunning them by virtue of their appearence.

[–]New_Article7411Pickmeisha™️ 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Wouldn't you rather be ignored by men, than groped, harrassed, catcalled or assualted? Or stalked or threatened when you turn them down? In my experience, being pretty makes women hate you, sabatoge you and think you're gonna steal their mediocre man from them. Men treat pretty women nicely sometimes (but that's only to get in their pants), but they also treat pretty women like shit. And women treat pretty women bad. I wish got a got handed the role of CEO for being pretty, but that doesn't happen. You are however, more likely to get a waitress job. I'd honestly rather be liked by women.

[–]HennyyenniFDS Apprentice 36 points37 points38 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m a pretty woman but it’s crazy if you think average or “ugly” women don’t get groped harassed catcalled and assaulted. I mean for fucks sake elderly women have gotten raped and girls as young as 8 have been catcalled. Even as an ugly dorky 11 year old I was stared at by grown men. Now I’m an attractive 26 year old I have a pretty face and a shapely body but I never wear makeup or dresses and I have more of a street style than a feminine one and I still get harassed by men. If a man wants to be a creep he will be no matter how pretty or ugly or fat or skinny or old or young his victim is.

I think it’s worse for ugly women cause if they say they were raped morons say “who would want to rape you” as if rape is about lust rather than violence and terrorizing someone. It’s even in pop culture where in the Office the older heavyset woman gets flashed by a creep and the douche manager says why would she get flashed over the two younger prettier women in the office.

[–]AnKeWaFDS Newbie 60 points61 points62 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Nah girl. Don't even start with that whole "ugly women don't deal with the same amount harassment or assault or groping" woe-is-me BS.

My whole life I have tried hard to be invisible to strange men. It. Doesn't. Work. I have been through ALL the things you listed, while being overweight with no make up on, wearing oversized T-shirts. And believe me when I say I am no "natural beauty" either.

These fuckers can smell fear. They don't harass who's the prettiest, they harass the woman who looks like she least likely to defend herself or fight back.

[–]HennyyenniFDS Apprentice 24 points25 points26 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree like If looks were the basis of sexual assault then elderly women would never be raped (which they are) and even butch lesbian women would never be assaulted and you would see more women trying to ugly themselves up. It doesn’t matter if you look like cousin it or Sofia Vergara men will be creeps if their sick minds want to be creepy. Which is why I think older women get harassed less because they’re more likely to not give a fuck about making a scene whereas younger women it seems like we hate standing up for ourselves and making a scene so we just take it. Motherfuckers harass literal children because a shy 12 year old isn’t going to stand up for herself against a creepy full grown man.

[–]Catharticoverdrive 37 points38 points39 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ugly women get harassed too, if I'm being honest, women donning a burqa get harassed and raped. I think the harassment is more of a symbol of their hatred and desire for power toward us than actual attraction. Heck, I'm fairly certain that the more aggressive and violent acts in pornography happen to more average-looking women. Though I will give you the fact that prettier women attract men with nefarious intentions moreso than uglier women do, but it doesn't mean that uglier women dont get harassed.

[–]New_Article7411Pickmeisha™️ 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My understanding was that older women talk about becoming invisible to men. As far as the aggressive and violent acts in pornography happening to more average-looking women, that is patently false. Not that I'm a pornography expert. But I do recall seing in pinkpill a beautiful women chained down and being torchured. No, we're not out here getting handed lawyer jobs without passing the bar. Or over a man. But yes, spot on about women in burquas with no makeup, getting raped more often then western women. That's really the antithesis to this posts ridiculous statement about makeup and clothes. Men just hate women period. If they aren't objectifying us, they're openly hating us.

[–]Prestigious_Spray_34FDS Newbie -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yes!!!!

Even men assume that you’re dumb if you look young and pretty. The women bully and sabotage you while the men won’t even allow you to show your skills. The men want you to be quiet, back them in everything, and look pretty while the women are busy ruining your career.

[–]New_Article7411Pickmeisha™️ 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What the former "f-cels" didn't get, was that my hair was nice because I earned it. My body was fit because I earned it. Whatever friends I had was because I more than earned it. Whatever job I had was because I more than earned it. My skin was tanned because I earned it. The only thing I didn't earn was men giving me attention. It isn't woe-is me. Beauty did nothing to improve my life. If you want to say being ugly nets the same degree of attention, who am I to disgree with your experience? Looking good certainly didn't advance my career or earn me friends. I earned it. That makeup that suits my face? Earned it.

In one sentence you talk about dating your boyfriend. Then in the following one you describe him making demeaning remarks on your appearance. This doesn't add up. Why are you being with him again?

He knows he perves and drools and mentally undresses at women dressed “revealingly” the way you dress currently all day everyday, and he feels threatened and insecure by other men doing it to you. POS! POS!

Hun, he’s saying that stuff now because he views you as his property you better check his entitled ass. Vet 👏vet👏vet👏. Do not stay with a man who thinks he can control/demean what you wear. I would be ripping him a new one for such raucous audacity.

Personally, I am afraid to dress up in fear of men laughing at or harassing me

Right.... so if all women start wearing burqas or full black cloak or something suddenly we are "robbing men's happiness" or some shit right? Like how scrotes are complaining they are going "crazy" from not being able to see women's faces under the mandatory mask?

This is an empty complaint. It's mindfuckery and an attempt at painting themselves as victims. You can't control yourself, Steve-O, when you see mascara on a woman? Well, gosh, maybe you need to go away to a special place for awhile...the kind that doesn't let you keep sharp objects. Most of the time they can't I.D. makeup unless the women in question is wearing bright red lipstick and fucking blue eyeshadow. They know they're lying when they say shit like that.
