It's 2 AM and I'm leaving a low rent trap house of strip club with one of my daughters and her girlfriend. When they get a call that one of their friends was nearby, and she was drunkenly walking home alone. So we pick up this effervescent quirky person, very much giving off Jess from New Girl energy. Once back at her house we had a conversation about relationships. My philosophy is that I prefer to date strong, complete women that are good on their own. The kind of women that don't need me, but choose me because I'm who they want. I want that because I don't need a woman to feel complete. Her retort: " Good luck with that, because if you don't need them, why would they want to date you? Women want a man that needs them."

This is very foreign to me, why prefer someone need you, over a complete person that chooses you?

Edit: The person I was talking to was the drunk friend we picked up. It was her opinion that women date men that need them, and not men that are complete unto themselves.
