Trust me, if you have talked to a girl for more than 10 minutes, you are better than 90% of the guys on this subreddit. Of course it's easier to say it's your fault, like you need to be masculine, you need to project your voice, you need to be brave, make eye contact and all sorts of things that are hard to achieve and make you believe that you are never good enough to talk with a girl, but actually from my point of view it's just a lack of experience, you haven't paid attention to the girl to see if your conversation with her is going anywhere or not. Even a rejection has only 1% to do with you, it is the girl who has decided to reject you, so the "problem" is with her, not with you, you are good as you are. You've already made your move by starting a conversation with her, now it's up to her to accept your invitation or not, you can't control what she wants to do next.

Pay attention to her and assess whether or not she is attracted to you on a certain level. If she is not attracted, there is no point in escalating and trying to get her number, you need her to show interest in you and then it';s you who makes the next move.

The other day I accidentally eavesdropped on a conversation between two young girls. They were talking about dating and how to proposition one of their exes to have sex one last time, that kind of thing. But I will never forget what one of the girls said about some dates she was recently on:

“When I’m talking to a guy and I sense that all he wants is sex, I feel like not wanting to give it to him”.

I think this really encapsulates most men’s problems when cold approaching. You are going there with a mission to get a number, a date, to bang her, etc. Women sense that and it’s the last thing they want to give to you. It’s human nature. We don’t appreciate people who want to take from us, unless we wanted to give to you to begin with.

So stop acting like you want a date or a number or to get them in bed. Is there anything you genuinely appreciate about the wine you approach? What attracted you to them? Is there anything about their energy? How do you know you want to date them if you know nothing about them? What if she’s a bitch, stupid, annoying, married, a serial killer?

Stop approaching women wanting something from them. Start approaching because you want to find out if they are interesting and if it is worth your time to even ask them out.

"Sorry, I have a boyfriend" is also one of the smoothest excuses. Generally you can encounter single and taken girls everywhere, but I guess clubs are the most common place for girls that want to potentially meet attractive guys, and it's the place that their boyfriends would rather vote against going. Still, I believe that it may be more of a you problem, having a boyfriend is not an issue per se, you just look for another target, it's not like single girls are endangered species yet.

Single women can be found everywhere. I do tell clients to look at places where people go to be social, though, like bars, clubs, and events. The more options you have, the more you can put yourself out there.
