You should probably clarify what you mean by hatred here. A dude yesterday was trying to explain that the straight male desire for sex means it’s totally impossible for a man to ever hate women, and that women “hate” men any time they’re not spreading their legs.

Some PPDers have genuinely admitted to hating women or have argued that hating women is acceptable in certain scenarios (example from earlier today), but I don't think they're representative of all the men here.

There are definitely PPD men who have takes I can agree with — yes, even the Red Pillers.

Can you criticize groups? Sure.

Can you criticize individuals? Sure.

Can you criticize systems? Sure.

I think it's the how that indicates if this is based on hatred or not. I also think how actionable the criticism is matters a great deal.

For me, the easiest place to see the difference is that well, most people don't want to date someone with children and you could explain why and it would be critical. But when I see men criticizing single mother's the words whore, slut, used up, idiot often appear and rather quickly. This suggests disgust which suggests a sort of hatred. Women rarely speak of this, but when they do, it's usually to mention drama or not wanting to raise someone else's children. There's your difference.

I think men's naturally disagreeable and blunt social nature makes it difficult for them to make true criticism in this sphere because the how shows hatred and it often isn't actionable...you can't put a baby back. You can not have contact with a baby mama drama or not make your girlfriend raise the kiddos that aren't hers.

Do I think hatred can be justified by past experience? Obviously. It just kind of matters what you do with that usefully.

Some people hate some people. Some people criticize some people. Some people make generalizations about all people. Are there some feminists that hate men? Yes. Are there some men who hate women? Yes. The balance in this sub isn’t the balance of real life. The things you see and read online aren’t the balance of real life. Your real life experiences aren’t the real life experiences of someone else. I’ve seen some pretty hateful nasty comments in here. I’ve been told some pretty nasty shit from men on here. I’ve seen some nasty shit written by women here. A lot of the time it’s the same handful of people. The thing is. We don’t know who these people are. If they are really a man or woman or if their views are genuine or their online persona. There’s absolutely no way to make a definitive conclusion.

Yes they just wont call it that. Wanting to take away their rights and access to Social Services because they won't date them is hatred. And on some level I think they know this which is why they try to catastrophize everything women do as hatred towards men. They want to justify their own hatred. They say men are treated as disposable but the solutions they propose are never things that help men. It's always just taking things from women.

I don’t think women here face criticism, it’s actually insults under the guise of discussion and debate. Guys here interlace what could be valid criticism with spite, which immediately turns the topic contentious.

Women are called all type of nicknames, Incorrect talking points are parroted and assumptions about women run rampant. If you disagree (either with personal anecdotes or facts)then they pivot and move goal posts or even insult.

This is a debate forum, not a support forum. If some guy comes here and rants in frustration, he'll generally be cut a little slack by women if he appears to be young, clueless and not highly toxic... but it's limited. Because it's a debate forum, it's assumed that he's trying to make the points he's writing. If he wants to vent, there are better places for it.

Acceptable? Eh, I find it useful when guys who have bad opinions about women say them out loud. In a truth in advertising sort of sense.. But I'll also think less of them and let other women know so they can avoid dating them.

If the forum is assumed to be about why men have trouble dating, such opinions will generally be taken as a sign that women avoid you because you're misogynist. And generally, any difference in how I react is that I think a lot of the things said here about women are stupid as well as toxic. (I have also been known to disagree with things said about men, and am not shy about saying so.)

Men in general don't HATE men, but men in this subreddit are often angry and bitter about being single, we are literally seeing the worst men out of the bunch on this sub. And most women irl don't actually hate men, just the bitter chronically online ones.

But women have been oppressed by men, historically, and I think it's why it's seen as worse when men critize women as a group, because a lot of dudes in here will talk about women like they talk about an animal. You don't see that often with women critizing men.

Idk I see more men advocating for removing women’s rights than I see women advocating for removing men’s rights in here. Men also criticize single mothers more than women criticize single fathers. I’ve been told multiple times in this sub that women shouldn’t be allowed to work. Men also slut shame women while also either bragging about their sexual history or moaning about their lack of one…. I’d venture a guess that there’s more animosity towards women than there is towards men.

I think more than hate, many men resent women.

Women complain about men but it's normally about particular subgroups: gym bros, fuckboys, incels, etc. whereas I'm under the impression men criticize and generalize about women as if we're all the same, ex. we all want a guy +6ft tall, with abs and a 6-figure job (I'm sure many ladies here have bfs/husbands who don't check any of those boxes).

I don't know a single guy with a wife/girlfriend that openly criticizes women as a group, someone that's often around women understands they're all different and that generalizations don't quite work.

Critiquing isn’t the same as “hate.” The former is specific, conditional, allows for exceptions, and usually aims at change or understanding.

Here are some examples:

“Some men avoid emotional labor in relationships, and that creates imbalance”

“Dating apps incentivize shallow behavior, which affects how some women choose partners.”

Hate on the other hand comes in absolutes, is essentialist, denies natural variance, and frames the other group as inferior or dangerous.

Examples of hate:

“Men are trash.”

“Women exist to exploit men.”

Criticism is only warranted when there are reasons. Men don't acknowledge their privilege. Women hate men because men kill, abuse and rape women. Women don't kill, abuse and rape men at the same rates, so men have no real reason to hate women. Men hate women because she won't fucking have them.

It seems to me that if you’re going to say these men hate women then you also have to acknowledge that feminists hate men.

But are the end results the same?

When angry and lonely women congregate, they start book clubs and knitting circles and plan brunch, while avoiding men. When angry and lonely men congregate, people fucking die in mass shootings.

There's a crucial difference you're missing here.

Have men collectively considered being less cunty and raping, killing and abusing less women? That would be fucking wonderful if you could please keep that in mind.

Also, how the fuck is a woman outlining the ways men oppress women misandry? Promoting the patriarchy is misogyny, RP actively promotes the patriarchy, but nobody says a fucking word about that.

If you think feminists don’t hate men, but the men posting here hate women then I have another question.

We don't hate men. We just find them annoying. If you took your head out of your asses and started acting like a considerate fucking human being for once, rather than a parasite, we'd be less annoyed with you.
