Hillary Clinton openly stated she was ready to make Selection Service gender neutral. Sorry but that's a very bad example. Men's rights groups sucked on Paul Elam's and Trump's dick and shot themselves in the foot by voting for Trump instead. They even called her a war monger. That one in particular aged very poorly.

Feminists are very tribalistic but again the draft was the worst example one could bring up.

Last I knew feminists oppose the draft regularly...it just kind of hasn't happened in so long that it's not at the front of the agenda when compared with say abortion, abuse, education, jobs, etc. I have no doubt if a draft was attempted, it would jump to near the front of the list.

And yeah, it's difficult to cook the draft all the way when so many men do not oppose it and in fact are kosher with it and the ones who aren't won't form a movement they can work with.

The draft is a terrible example. Feminists support abolishing it and progressive politicians support making it universal.

Conservatives are the ones who have kept it male only.

If you're asking why men's rights haven't worked with feminists, it's because the largest men's rights group is the manosphere and they have no interest in fixing men's issues, they only care about bashing women and feminists. This post is an excellent example of that.

The equal rights amendment would have made selective service gender neutral. Conservatives shot it down.

As for abolition. MRAs don’t want us to join any fight. They want us to do everything for them. Get the ball rolling in that and we’ll support it. Every leftist would.

We can be allies, but to be allies we need someone to ally with. What men in majority are asking are mommies. That's unfair. You didn't solve our issues, why do you think we owe it to you to solve yours?

And i am against draft by the way. As a person. But feminism is a movement, and it's about women. They can stand with you, but first you need to stand.

There was a post yesterday how women have no business to criticize men for being lazy in dating. It got a lot of upvotes quickly. Isn't it ironic that men think that they have business criticizing how women fight for their rights then? And how they don't fight for men's?

I found that the same places that were advocating for those ideas also allowed and supported anti female content on the regular. Can you blame women for thinking that those groups aren't the best to join forces with.

I mean you want to blame women, but are you going to examine the behavior of men or will they get a pass. Because it seems like you want to take women to task all while ignoring the actions of men.

And I mean we haven't had a draft in the last, what 55 years, so not a single man, under 60 has been affected by one.

Conservatives are those who want to keep the draft male only. Recent efforts to test female combatants for their effectiveness are designed to keep women out of the army altogether. They want to prove that women cannot meet the standards set for men on average and either ban women from combat altogether or only allow those who can meet the standards set for men.

My opinion is, why not admit that the standards for women have to be lower and set lower standards for women and let them fight in an all-female army?

Women should have the opportunity to rise through the ranks within their own army without being displaced by existing men, and they should have the opportunity to make this their profession and, after choosing this path, to retire from it. Of course, society should be prepared for the fact that most of these women will probably never have children. I find it simply sickening to conscript untrained women in the middle of their lives to fight alongside men in an army to defend against Russia.

Name the last man that was drafted into US Military. Also, name a guy who was recently prosecuted for not registering for Selective Service. Because l can name a ton of women who wanted safe abortions but couldn't get them due to regressive abortion laws.

Also, if a man refuses to fight in a war, he can just dodge the draft and refuse to report for duty. Has any man been arrested or imprisoned for doing so? If a woman gets pregnant, she has no choice but to go through childbirth or abortion. There's no third fucking option where she can run away and dodge both childbirth or abortion. That's why it's her fucking choice and that's how bodily autonomy works.

The last guy was drafted in 1973. So you're comparing an issue that never fucking happens with an issue that happens all the fucking time. Yeah, I'm fucking convinced. Gee, l wish the last time women had problems obtaining a safe abortion was in 1973.
