TRP and Incels and neckbeards share this in common: an obsessive worship of “rationality” and “objectivity.” They fancy themselves free of biases. Which is funny to begin with.

They seem to conflate rationality with total lack of emotion.

Furthermore, they fail to understand emotional intelligence.

Emotional intelligence is the reason women can perceive nuances in social interaction that men miss. It’s the reason we drop hints we think are painfully obvious, that men miss.

It’s the reason a couple can go to a party and he thinks it went well when she knows that Chelsea was making catty comments the whole time in the guise of friendliness.

It’s the reason women can get upset about “unromantic” gifts.

And emotional intelligence is also the reason women sometimes get upset about “small things.” Which some men like on trp then act like she’s so irrational.

Well, just because these types of dudes lack the emotional intelligence to perceive why some things matter, doesn’t mean she’s irrational. IQ isn’t the only form of intelligence.

It’s like being an expert in anything. If you’re an expert painter, say you get upset about some shading not being how you want (IDK I’m not a painter.). Maybe to the layperson it seems great, but that’s literally because they lack the professional eye to notice it.

So maybe to them the painter is melting down over nothing.

But does that make the painter irrational and crazy? No. They just know more.

A lot of women have higher EQ because we are trained to always consider how anything we do or say affects others. We’re always acutely aware from puberty of our potential for pregnancy, literally carrying another human in our body. Btw I think pregnancy is a privilege, I’m not saying it’s bad, just that we are taught to be hyper aware of others.

Do women sometimes get actual too emotional and men can help them see clearer? Yup! And the exact thing happens in reverse.

But a lot of the stuff I see on these trp places is just the men showing a lack of emotional intelligence and over-worshipping intellect.

Edit: I don’t care about literal IQ not am I married to the phrase emotional intelligence. I’m using them as shorthand to indicate more purely cerebral thinking which deliberately ignores your feelings or intuitions about feelings, vs the kind of thinking that is about other people’s moods and actions and feelings, which requires skill to interpret.

Also one is not better than the other. Taken too far, being too aware of people’s moods or intentions is a handicap, and so is being too cerebral and ignoring people’s emotions.
