What's the benefit to either parties? People can change, so why shackle yourself to someone who could become someone different than the person you fell for?

Seems (IMO) crazy to even consider the deal, by either parties. There's always someone better that could show up in your life. If anything marriage makes a relationship less romantic/loving. Why is there a sense of need to force someone into a binding contract to love you til death do us part?

If you're enjoying each other, why is marriage needed? We can talk about tax breaks, but that shit is just a red herring excuse. Save yourself a couple bucks in order to engage in a contract that could lose you a couple hundred thousand. Just has it's been predicted for years, marriage rates continue to drop; for whatever reason. About to enter 2019 and nothing seems to change.

We now have the Zoomers (Gen Z) entering the stage of engaging this quagmire of sexual dynamics. Will something change? I doubt it, I don't seem them making some major change in the whole marriage dynamics. Every year it seems people are just smarting up about the whole marriage thing.

For the west, I can't see a bright future in this department. What traditional mother father dynamic will allow for the upbringing of well rounded children/ next generation.
