After more than a year of identifying as a Red, I'm ready to add a drop of blue to my hue.

Now, don't get me wrong--I think TRP is an excellent resource for men. I'd go so far as to call it a necessary counterbalance to modern feminism. A huge online locker room where men get to be disrespectful, rude, shameless, and most importantly, honest. It's fucking refreshing.

Joining TRP was a cathartic experience. It allowed me to shed feminine conditioning to rediscover my masculinity. Turns out, I never lost it. It was just suppressed by decades of bad advice and liberal arts influence.

It was a community that channelled my frustrations into self improvement, broke down every wrong belief I've ever held about relationships, and frankly, saved my marriage.

I've internalized many of the TRP tenets. Not because I believe they are 100% accurate, or apply in 100% of situations. But because they are accurate enough to be useful.

But I'm also tired of the dogma. Tired of the hypocrisy.

God knows, I became pretty dogmatic when I discovered the root of my sexless marriage. Dogmatism was necessary for my rehabilitation. It kept me focused, disciplined, and driven. But after I built myself back up again, I sought the next step. More information, differing views, and dissenting opinions.

As it currently stands, TRP has been hijacked by a vocal minority. A minority whose intellectual curiosity ran out the moment they finished reading the sidebar. These people are stuck. And I got tired of listening to them.

I wish I could say TBP somehow changed my mind. But Bloopers seem to be just as dogmatic, if not more (the recent echo-chamber posts cover this quite well). Discussions between Blue and Red remind me of the yelling matches between Democrats and Republicans during election season. Fruitless.

The real credit goes to the minority of Purples on this sub. Both ex-reds and ex-blues. People who are intellectually honest enough to reconsider their positions when presented with new evidence. People who value evidence, analysis, and proper methodology over red/blue tribalism. You guys opened my mind, and rekindled my skepticism.
