This is one of those things that I hear TRP/MGTOW say women believe more than they actually say it themselves. And I hear it a lot, that sex bots are coming and women are terrified of them. But I've never actually heard any actual woman express this view, much less en mass.

I'm not opposed to them being in use (though I'd be put off on a personal level if a guy had one). The women on here were asked if they were concerned about the idea. They largely said no. /r/askwomen was asked, and they joked a lot, and said that they wouldn't be that worried about them.

Who says that women are concerned? Men, for one. But that doesn't do much to show that women are. If anything, it reads as some kind of revenge fantasy. It's certainly not a woman showing fear. I did find a couple of articles saying that they were bad. More circulated is this one, aclaimed "feminists trying to ban sex bots". Which misses the mark, as the person trying to get them banned isn't much of a feminist (maybe she is, but certainly not a famous one). Rather, they are a robot ethistic. And more importantly, it is one no name professor. Not really much of a movement. There's also this article, which was actually written by a feminist and critical of sex bots. But again, this is by a no-name feminist and writer. Here's another article that is critical of them, but atlas, it is neither written by a woman or a feminist, much less a popular one.

As for what actual big name feminists think? Seemingly nothing. I can't find anything on Jezebel or Feministe, and Feministing only has this which while negative doesn't say much, and is mostly creeped out by it expressing pain. So where is this alleged fear that I hear so much about? Seems like women aren't actually threatened by them.
