BP's hyperfocus and fixation on the spergs, FAs, and neckbeards of RP shows that they (BP) are not serious about having a debate about the merits of RP strategies but rather just want to mock and abuse low-SMV men.

Q4BP/feminists: Why don't feminists push to have more women in "dirty" jobs like plumbing, construction, sewer maintenance, coal mining, garbage pickup, etc?

The 'creep' accusation is invalid and cannot be used against RP/undesirable guys because women selectively choose what's 'creepy' and what's not, they give a pass to attractive men doing the exact same 'creepy' shit that they accuse non-alpha dudes of doing. They love being objectified by Chad.

If female hypergamy and pickiness is normal, "fair", and shouldn't be shammed, men reacting with anger and misogyny is also completely normal, "fair", and shouldn't be shammed.

TRP, the manosphere, and guys striving to become Chads and Alpha Fucks is the natural result of women's lib and undermining traditional male roles.

Huff Post author tells women to stay away from "Non-Relationship Relationships" (non-committed). Does this illustrate sexual strategy? specifically does it show a bias against male strategy in favor of female strategy (basically using sex as a means to control and get what they want from men)?

Purely from a self-interest perspective I think of it as short-term vs. long-term goals. To me, any woman that responds to abuse with a desire to sleep with me is someone that likely isn't worth spending significant time with going forward. If my end goal is to sleep with as many stupid/insecure/damaged women as I can (once each), then yours would seem like a fine strategy, assuming that what you are saying about abuse is correct.

If, on the other hand, my goal is to find a partner that I get along with personally as well as sexually, then abusing them would likely drive any worthwhile (to me) women away. To paraphrase Groucho, I wouldn't want to be with any woman who would have me (when I'm acting unethical and abusive).

[–]damaskrose 15 points15 points15 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I wouldn't want to be with any woman who would have me (when I'm acting unethical and abusive).

A lot of abusers end up feeling this way. They're stuck because they feel like they need to control a woman (or feel like it's the only way they can keep a woman), but end up disliking/disrespecting any woman who'd put up with that. Even hating them, because most abusers were previously abused themselves, and their victim reminds them of their own past "weakness". It's not just the victims who end up miserable in abusive relationships, but usually the abusers as well - but in their case, they have created their own unhappiness.

[–]scrantonic1tyNot BP1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is part and parcel of insecurity. I haven't been abused, but I've been very overweight and thus invisible before (I am male). When I lost weight and got in shape I suddenly existed, and I ended up resenting people who suddenly started treating me like a human or a romantic pursuit.

From my perspective I didn't become a different person when I lost weight, so this newfound attention only reinforced my conviction that who I am as a person is worthless, that ultimately I am worthless beyond my appeal as a sexual object (Losing weight and gaining muscle improved both my physique and my facial definition, I am fairly conventionally attractive). Of course, being shy and introverted, nobody has ever really seen who I am as a person so I can't exactly blame them, and as a man nobody is going to put much effort into finding out. Actually, one good thing about being a man and also being asexual is that nobody will aggressively pursue me, I just have to deal with the occasional touchy-feely drunk girl at a bar. I still have to catch myself assuming the worst in people.

I can totally relate to the feeling women don't reeeaaaaly like me for me.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a great point.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

On a more practical level, any woman who responds positively to abuse most certainly has BPD or something similar and you would have to deal with all that entails. Not everyone is cut out for that. My standard advice is don't go after mentally women unless you're mentally ill yourself.

Although, if you get off on abusing women, you probably got a few screws loose yourself. And indeed it does often play out that way - they both just get off on it and ultimately these people deserve each other.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

i don't disagree that a relationship with a mentally ill person is challenging, but it's pretty cruel to say that people with BPD or similar deserve to be abused.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's literally not at all what I said.

Of the people (male, female, whatever) who do enjoy being abused, I'd be willing to bet good money most have BPD.

This does not mean that everyone with BPD likes to be abused and I never mentioned anything about anyone "deserving" it. Don't know where you got any of that from.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

The funny thing is, once I adopted the red pill, you dont just get more one night stands, but more women want to have relationships with you also.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, we're saying that the women that fall for red pill tactics aren't the kinds of people that we would want to be in relationships with.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

My personal experience has told me the exact opposite. I've gotten way more interest from women wanting relationships with me ever since adopting a "red pill mindset"

I'm not talking about "theory" I'm talking about my own personal experience over the past 2 years.

All women are like that, being a better man attracts all women, not just "bad women" like you're implying.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It seems like you're defining "better women" as "women that want to date you," which is the exact opposite of what we're saying if those women are reacting to manipulation and abuse by wanting to spend more time with you.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No, I'm defining better women as, more intelligent women, better looking women, more pleasant women.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Then I think we'll just have to agree to disagree, because there's no way that I can agree that abusing women and then seeing which ones stick around is the best way to select the more intelligent and self-assured ones.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

When did I ever say "self-assured".

Anyway, your wrong assumption is that TRP and pua behaviors are "abuse" in the first place. That's where your cognitive dissonance comes from. You start with the conclusion of "these behaviors are bad, let's look at why they are bad" instead of which should be. "These behaviors are effective, why do they work?"

Your biased question clouds your judgement.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you're just talking about more pliant women then you've already proven my point.

What thread do you think you are in? OP's question was asking why unethical and abusive behavior shouldn't be used if it works in the context of red pill tactics. My response was that it works for short-term gain with damaged, stupid, or insecure women, and you've attempted to argue that you've gotten better women after (presumably) unethically abusing them. You've further seemed to conflate OP's question about abuse with all of red pill tactics, which one would hope are not just manipulative and abusive.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm arguing that it's a loaded question with a false premise.

Why shouldn't trp behavior be used if it's effective AND better morally. (Blue pill advice is unethical and abuse).

[–]AnUndecidedPill[S] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (55 children) | Copy Link

SO what would your advice be to guys who don't wish to be abusive assholes but find that women are attracted to assholes.

[–]lollygagyoSociopathic Fake Flirter5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Be a cool guy. Lots of women are also attracted to cool guys who aren't douchey. Go for those women.

Often the thing about assholes that 'gets women' is their confidence -- not their assholery. Project confidence.

[–]lollygagyoSociopathic Fake Flirter4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Did you notice that I said 'cool' and not 'nice'. 'Nice guys' are kinda gross ime. Women are not machines that you put kindness coins into expecting sex to gush out, ffs.

You don't have to be 'nice' to not be an asshole. I would not self identify as a 'nice' person. I'm not really a people pleaser and have a tendency to do what I want. That said, when I like people? I'm sweet. And I do my best not to actively hurt others -- especially others that I'm intimately involved with.

Don't be a nice guy. But there's a lot of room between 'Nice Guy' and 'Asshole'. Try and occupy that space.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Expand your dating pool and your social circle because there are also plenty of women out there who aren't attracted to assholes. Also, understand you might actually have to get to know them a little bit and invest a little time with them before sexual activity is going to happen.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (41 children) | Copy Link

I would advise them to look/wait for the women who don't exclusively look for abusive assholes, because there are plenty out there. If a woman doesn't want to be with him because he's a nice person it's a huge win for him because relationships don't tend to improve from that point (assuming lack of sexual attraction is the reason).

"Just be patient and wait. The right one will come along".

Sigh. More typical BP nonsense. That's disappointing. I for one no longer have the patience to wait around for these dumb bimbos to get their heads out of their asses just for me to get a chance with them and I'm sure many other men would agree. Your advice is really worthless when a large bulk of females don't have the patience or desire to deal with average, regular men.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Sigh. More typical BP nonsense.

Oh fucking please. What are you, surprised that people advocate moral behaviour? The only person who can answer the question in the OP is the individual himself. I.e. you. Do you care about being a moral person? Then be one. Do you not care? Then what am I supposed to say to make you care? I can't say anything.

The decision re: whether to throw morality out the window in the pursuit of getting laid is for the individual. Why do you guys keep trying to offload this? You reckon being an abusive creep is worth it to get laid? Then have at it, there's nothing I can do to stop you. But don't start whining when people think you're an abusive creep. Take some goddamned responsibility for yourself.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is exactly how I feel about it too.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Think about the context. We live in a world where guys like Justin Bieber, Lebron James, and Drake are thought of as the hot, top guys. These guys aren't sweet gentlemen. I mean, the majority of men that are in the spotlight are assholish or selfish.

I think though that the term "abusive" is over the top and misses the point. Women are sexually attracted to men who are physically strong, confident, bold, know what they want, and don't give a fuck about what other people think of them.

[–]CrazyTom54Fabulous Blueberry3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Those guys are thought of as hot?

Wow.... I must live in a society where females don't really give a shit about them then......

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What country do you live in?

[–]CrazyTom54Fabulous Blueberry0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

USA

Just because the ladies that you know think they are hot does not mean every single girl in this country thinks they are hot. None of the women I know care for them in the slightest.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Replace Justin Bieber with Kane Brown then.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Then you probably live in a conservative/red area or state, in which guys like this aren't popular.

Come down to California and every girl is chasing after a gym bro/bad body/ rapper/black guy type. Very heavy emphasis on raw masculinity over here. Gym culture is through the roof.

[–]TW_CountryMusicbluepill redneck0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Drake is pretty hot tbh. But maybe that's because he looks like an older version of the guy I had a crush on for four years in high school.

Lol why are you patiently waiting for dumb bimbos? That's exactly the opposite of what I said. If you think AWALT it says a lot more about who you want to date than it does about women in general.

[–]AnUndecidedPill[S] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not saying I'm waiting on them, but that's essentially what you're saying guys should do if they're not douchbros. Just hold out for that 1/1000th woman who will like you for who you are, instead of being practical and adjusting themselves so that more women can like them. It's like using the same shitty race car that keeps getting smoked and wait until an even more shitty car comes along that you can beat instead of suping up your own car to make it more competitive with the other race cars.

[–]Think_pleaseBlue Pill Man2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's over simplistic thinking like that that keeps you from meeting decent women. People aren't race cars, with literally one dimension of attractiveness and competition between them, there are huge numbers of dimensions that people can find attractive and compelling about each other. The people who are happiest in their relationships are those that both believe that they are lucky to have found the other person, and that doesn't come from sitting around and trying to force shitty relationships with people that don't like you. Get out there and actually try to meet women, but don't act like a gigantic pussy when things don't work out. To keep to your metaphor, what you are saying is to strap a one-use rocket engine or lots of unearned racing awards on your average car and hope that the women you initially fool won't eventually see through your bullshit. By all means improve yourself through actual means to make yourself a more interesting and compelling person, but using cheap tricks to manipulate people into thinking that you are interesting and compelling is always doomed to failure in the long run.

[–]CrazyTom54Fabulous Blueberry2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (16 children) | Copy Link

So if a man can get laid by being abusive then shouldn't a woman be allowed to cheat on her partner if that gets her laid or more sexual pleasure? Can a man kill another man if that helps him get more money? Can I take a crap in the pool because I don't want to go to all of the effort of running to the bathroom? Can I assassinate the president if I disagree with him?

See? Your argument has been switched around on you and the holes in it are very obvious.

Also, why are you waiting for dumb bimbos? There are plenty of females that are patient and that are great for long term relationships. you probably can't spot them though since you see every girl as a 'dumb bimbo.'

[–]mrcs84usnFatty Fat Neck Beard2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So if a man can get laid by being abusive then shouldn't a woman be allowed to cheat on her partner if that gets her laid or more sexual pleasure?

No. The man's behavior is being responded to positively by women. The only way that her sleeping around is allowed is if it's responded to positively by the men she's seeing. So essentially, it'd only work with men that consider her a plate from the get-go, or 'poly' men.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's only necessarily positive to him, not necessarily to her. If she's being abused, for example, and sleeps with him in an attempt to limit the abuse, can you really say that's positive to her? If, on the other hand, she is genuinely more attracted to assholes and prefers that type of behavior, perhaps it could be positive to her.

So we have to look at from both perspectives and both motivations. If she's attracted to him and sleeps with him because she thinks "he will change his ways" or whatever, that's not positive for her if he doesn't. Delusional maybe, but ultimately not a positive thing. Same with cheating, if we only look at what's positive for the person engaging in the unethical or abusive behavior, we can always rationalize it.

If there's no harm there's no harm. I just tend to believe its let's of that than you appear to.

[–]CrazyTom54Fabulous Blueberry0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Nah, I think that her sleeping around should be allowed if it is responded positively to by the men that she is sleeping with. Otherwise, with your logic, the abusive male should only be abusive if the girl's family approves of it.

If the man can be abusive as long as it is responded to positively by the people that he is affecting directly (girlfriend that is being abused), then the woman can sleep with whoever she wants as long as it is responded to positively by the people that she is directly affecting (man that she is sleeping with)

[–]mrcs84usnFatty Fat Neck Beard0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

No. The man in the relationship is exhibiting behavior (being abusive) that the woman has knowledge of and responding positively to.

The counterpart would be the woman in the relationship exhibiting behavior (sleeping around) that the man has has knowledge of and is responding positively to.

[–]AnUndecidedPill[S] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

We're talking about sexual dynamics here, not murdering people or taking a crap in their pool. To answer your first part, a woman can and often does cheat of she's unsatisfied at home, it can be argued that she's fulfilling her own sexual strategy but the thing is women are often given a pass for this behavior where's if a man cheats it's just because he's a asshole, no one ever looks deeper into it. If you take a look at r/relationships you'll notice how one-sided it is - women are wonderful while men are pigs who can't be trusted.

So really, men have been on the losing end of sexual strategy for some time now and no one made peep about it, yet as soon as men start formulating their own sexual strategies people want to act like it's the most horrible thing in the world.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

See now you're switching goalposts. The question was "why not do this thing if it's effective" not "its so unfair men are demonized for doing this thing when women aren't".

You're response appears to be arguing the latter, not your OP.

[–]AnUndecidedPill[S] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I'm not switching the goalpost of the OP, I"m only responding to u/CrazyTom54 making the comparison of sexual strategy to murdering and shitting in public, and the only reason I mention women being given a pass is because I'm perplexed by the reaction given to TRP/PUA/manosphere given that men struggling often have nowhere else to vent about their problems. I'm not trying to throw a pity-party, just trying to understand why people are upset of the notion of men applying sexual strategy.

[–]CrazyTom54Fabulous Blueberry2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because maybe it is unethical sometimes, just like murdering a person. If you want to be a dick then fine, be a dick. Be an abusive asshole. I won't shed a tear when you wind up in jail.

There is a good lesson from the Tortoise and the Hare. "Slow and Steady wins the fucking race." Nice guys go slow and steady. Meanwhile the dickwaffles that you are considering joining go fast and fucking lose the race in the long run. Sure they might have sex, but who the hell cares? Is that all you care about? Is there nothing on your bucket list?

And yeah, you did kinda change goal-posts like /u/sublimemongrel said

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Because we don't agree with unethical and abusive tactics. That's why we say it's wrong. The argument about "women get away with it and it's not fair" has nothing to do with why we think it's wrong. It's irrelevant to your OP.

And just for the record, I don't agree with women engaging in unethical or abusive sexual strategy either, for the exact same reason which is that I disagree with unethical and abusive tactics.

[–][deleted] 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[deleted]

[–]CrazyTom54Fabulous Blueberry1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Your wording was "being an unethical and abusive asshole." Therefore we are not talking about only sexual dynamics here. There is very little room to debate about what that could possibly mean. Being an unethical and abusive asshole can literally be a person who goes and craps in another man's pool. Although the pool that I was jokingly referring to was a public pool but whatevs.....

men have been on the losing end of sexual strategy for some time now

And I have been on the losing end of not being able to take a crap in the pool simply because I don't want to waste time running to the bathroom. The thing is, babies are often given a pass for this behavior where's if a human is older than the age of 15-17 (approximately the age where the blame would be focused on him/her entirely and not the parents) and takes a Doogey in the pool it's because they are an asshole, no one ever looks deeper into it. If you take a look at r/takingashitinthepool you'll notice how onesided it is - babies are wonderful while anybody older is a pig that can't be trusted in a pool.

Also, on a more serious note, it is still looked down upon if women cheat. Maybe though it is looked down upon less because up until divorce wasn't completely one-sided in the man's favor (guy would get everything and woman would lose everything, even if she owned it), the man would always be cheating. So maybe men are complaining about divorce being unfair and women getting more out of it because now men are seeing it from the woman's side? Even then, it isn't completely unequal because the man can still have a chance at winning while back in the old days, the woman had zero chance at all. Just an observation....

In a cat and mouse world, we are used to being the cat. How do you think a cat would feel if it suddenly became the mouse? If it doesn't adapt, it will quickly die.

Maybe if you stopped waiting around for dumb bimbos, you wouldn't be experiencing this exact problem where the woman cheats on her boyfriend/husband.

EDIT:

yet as soon as men start formulating their own sexual strategies people want to act like it's the most horrible thing in the world.

Sorry I had to add this in. Would some of those "sexual strategies" happen to be rape or getting the government to make the legal age of consent for sex at age 13 or 15? Would those sexual strategies have anything to do with abusing women? Would they have anything to do with controlling her and "dread gaming" her? To mess with her psychologically and make her insecurities become worse? Because if those are some of the sexual strategies that you are referring to, then they should definetely be treated like the most horrible thing in the world.

A human should never abuse another human in a relationship. Otherwise I should be allowed to abuse my relationship with that pool and take a Doogey in it! I should be allowed to abuse my relationship with friends by being able to kill them if they disagree with me! I should be allowed to abuse my relationship with girls that I just met by being able to rape them just because they make me feel aroused or because they "dressed provocatively and were asking for it!" I should be allowed to rob a bank and walk away scott free just because I need the money. I should be allowed to abuse my relationship with my girlfriend by hitting her in the head with a baseball bat simply because she wasn't wearing a helmet and thus was asking for it.

You don't have to be abusive to get women. Just being assertive and confident is good enough.

[–]antariuszRed Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It just so happens that you need to wait until a woman is 28-32... THEN the blue pill strategy works. They get a washed up, used up, former slut, that won't feel genuine desire for their boring husband as soon as they get a ring on the finger.

Those things aren't really comparable. It's like the rape fantasy. Is it rape if she wants it? Is it abusive or unethical if she desire those actions? Can you be abusive towards someone with their blessing?

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

They are comparable because they are unethical and abusive methods for fulfilling a genders sexual strategy. Only a woman's instead. Everything written appears to be deceptive and "without his blessing" so I'm not really sure why that's relevant or why these examples aren't comparative.

[–]DaphneDKKing of LBFM2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

If a woman is actively seeking a man who can "abuse" her, I don't really think the act of "abuse" is abuse. You can't abuse someone or act unethical towards someone with their consent. It's a contradiction in terms.

The comparison would be a man who seeks a woman who'll cheat on him. This is a sexual fetish which I've read several men describe on casualiama.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

OP didn't say anything of the sort about women who consent to abuse so I'm not really sure where you got that from?

[–]DaphneDKKing of LBFM4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's the impression I got from the OP. The scenario is women who "responds to abuse with a desire to sleep with me", not women you go out and rape in the park.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agree with you 100%. Like I said further up in the thread, the specific type of woman discussed in the OP (I do not think AWALT in this particular case) does actively seek out and enjoy this kind of behaviour from her partners. Often both her and the guys she ends up with have a few screws loose and enjoy the emotional rollercoaster.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well first of all there are lots of women who don't respond to unethical or abusive tactics by freely giving sex. So the argument that all women should be treated this way because it's more effective is going to result in plenty of people getting hurt and abused where it won't even be effective for the man. That right here is reason enough for me to reject such behavior.

Second of all, you appear to have a broader definition of consent than I do. If a man knows a woman is crazy and attention seeking does he consent to her crazy attention seeking behavior by sleeping with her and/or dating her? Even if it harms him? Does he even know the full extent or potential beforehand? Is that truly consent?

And third of all when we talk about abuse it's not really that simple. Being a jerk or an asshole, maybe I can sort of see your point even if I don't agree with it. But actual abuse can result in a cycle of psychological manipulation where the abused does what the abuser wants out of fear. I wouldn't call that consent at least in the way you are suggesting it means.

[–]KrispyMcSockingtonPillar of the community6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If birth control sabotage can help a woman to land a husband, then why shouldn't she do that? If cheating on her husband makes her sexually satisfied, then why shouldn't she?

These are not comparable. If he is an asshole, she can leave. If she lies about birth control, he is stuck. If she cheats, that's her behaviour, not whether she is attracted to his asshole behaviour. That is different. The CLOSEST you get is here:

If stealing can help me to get more money, then why shouldn't I steal?

Even then, that is a crime and is punishable by the law. The closest you get is the selfishness part. A closer similarity would be:

If being a bully gets me social acceptance among my peers, some easy laughs and sometimes free stuff, why shouldn't I be one? The fact is that unless people stop being attracted to or even tolerating assholes, we're going to have more assholes causing shit for everyone. But we cannot force people to not be attracted to them so there is actually no reason for a man not to be.

He is not breaking the law and at worst he is being selfish. Another way to look at it is, should a man be nice and potentially sacrifice his sex life just for some moral points? If so, why should he take that hit? We haven't given him sufficient motivation to do so when the men who are assholes are being "rewarded" with sex. A nice guy's reward is the friend zone.

[–]SilentLurker666[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

First THE OP's question is rather a loaded because being unethical and abusive doesn't get man laid more. If one was to go about the question then the obvious conclusion is that men shouldn't behave unethically and abusively. A similar question is: "If women can get rich by marrying and then divorce rape their husbands, then why shouldn't they?" and the answer is that women shouldn't divorce rape men. Comment if you disagree.

Also the three things are not compariable: stealing is still a crime. Adultery used to be but it's no longer.

The Angle of TRP isn't whether it is ethical or not, but one grounded on reality of what the sex market is and make adjustment to optimize your mating stragety (which is increase your SMV). That goes on by extension that most people choose to choose the option that gives them the greatest benefit and the least amount of harm. Consequeces are harm which is to be avoided.

The important thing about this line of thinking is realizing then that the market is actually "let buyers beware" and part of what TRP teaches to watch for these things like always using protection and watch for cheating wives. TRP in that aspect isn't about getting laid more, but rather a response to the change in women in today's society and the mating stragety.

As a species our only goal is to reproduce and die.

A species doesn't really have a goal, but if it did, that would be it, sure.

However, this question is about an individual's actions and what they should or shouldn't do, so the wide range of goals that individuals can and do have are entirely relevant.

[–]Apexk90 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

A human should do what is in his best interest anything else and Imo you're just waiting to be taken advantage of.

There is no right and wrong there is just perception of the situation based on the individual who perceives it.

[–]dakruNeither4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

Does that include things like fraud, theft, and murder, when you can get away with them and come out ahead?

I'm all for not getting taken advantage of, but I have no reason to believe that simply having morals and caring about anything outside of your "best interest" is "just wanting to be taken advantage of".

[–]Apexk90 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

Yeah if someone is stupid enough to get frauded (like the women with 12k of iTunes gift cards in canada)

If you're weak enough to be murdered that's life yo.

Those things can potentially be prevented if the individual is smart.

[–]dakruNeither6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I very much disagree with your perspective, and I think that if more people followed it, the world would be a worse place. I consider fraud, theft, and murder to be morally wrong, regardless of how stupid the victim is.

If you're happy being driven by unexamined instincts, have at it. But we are the only species that can rise above our genetic programming and build a better world.

Plus the traits that may help you get laid are destructive in other areas. Strong social connections are necessary to survive long enough to reproduce. Assholes and unethical abusers have weaker social connections. It is a trade off. Psychopaths get laid more than non-psychopaths, but they also have less social support.

If you say no. I think you're smart others will think you're an asshole.

It's all a state of perception from the viewpoint of another individual.

Also look at the world we have built. You know why the world is like this? Because there are the strong and the weak and the strong dominate the weak such is nature such is the lifeblood of our species. So through civilization we have yet to shed our genetic programming to create this better world instead we have created a cesspool of misery.

This is reality.

You're in the comfort of your own home safe and sound behind a keyboard. fly to Syria and help the worn torn victims help make the world a better place for them. But you won't because you have a survival instinct and you don't want to die. You can't move beyond your own genetic programming.

Humans have moved from hunter gatherers to living in cities as farmers to post industrial societies.

Our instincts are there, but society can direct those instincts. In a society where being a violent criminal gets you laid, guys will try to become violent criminals. In a society where being an engineer with a college diploma will get you laid, men will try to do that. This is one of the negatives of the sexual revolution, it stopped rewarding men who are actually of value to society and started more heavily rewarding the deadbeats.

The reason we live in teh world we have built has nothing to do with the strong dominating the weak. If that were the case, the world we live in would've been created a long time ago. Do you know the reason we live in the world we live in now? Because a small minority of smart people invented math, chemistry and physics, and advances in agriculture in the 16th & 17th century. Those advances allowed other smart people to develop the technology of the first industrial revolution in the 18th century, which led to the second industrial revolution in the 19th century and which kept compounding.

The world we live in is fairly nice because a small minority of smart people made it that way. It has nothing to do with a bunch of people who choose to try to be the toughest monkey on the block, it never did. Throughout all the advances in science and tech making life worth living, there have always been guys who were enslaved to their instincts trying to get laid by acting like monkeys. It doesn't make it a laudable life goal.

[–]Apexk9-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Incorrect.

Those smart people that invented what they did still had no power and they would be ridiculed for their beliefs it wasn't until someone strong stood behind them that everything prospered.

Look at olden times with kings. The king had strong men that preyed on the weak.

That small minority of smart people with ought power would never have spread the message because the stronger would have just killed them if there was no personal advantage.

And it's the women reinforcing the behaviour of those males.

Your wording was "being an unethical and abusive asshole." there's not much room for debate as to what that means, and it's not the behavior of a happy person. Abusers are deeply miserable people, and thats not behavior that an otherwise well-adjusted person can adopt and be OK with.

You'll fail on #2 because the world gets worse and worse and this will continue unless something drastic happens.

[–]Apexk91 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

You call this improving?

Lol.

maybe for you behind your nice computer in hour nice home. Go to Venezuela or Syria or Mexico or Africa and tell me again if the world is improving.

Look at the war in Iraq has Iraq and the middle east improved since we took down Sadam hussein?

Is this supposed to mean anything?

The world as a whole is still becoming worse due to human greed.

[–]OfSpock4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yes, life expectancies are rising, quality of life is improving and child mortality rates are dropping, These are the metrics by which we determine that countries are improving.

[–]Apexk9-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Except are they really?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

What has Mexico done to deserve being in that list? :(

[–]Apexk91 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

It's a shit hole ran by cartels.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's not really aaaaaaas shitty as you'd think. Been three years since the last cartel-related death in my family. That totes screams "IMPROVEMENT", right?

[–]Apexk90 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure there are nice parts but the cartel problem is probably huge.

And corruption in the government. Corruption in the police. Like damn. Sure you ain't as bad as Venezuela but it ain't roses and daisies.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I don't think the world is getting worse.. If anything it's gotten incredibly easy

[–]Apexk9-2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

For you.

Buy a plane ticket and go to venuzuela then try and live there with no outside financial support.

The world itself is getting much much worse and will continue. One day water will be the most expensive commodity on this planet imagine what life will be like then.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Fuck Venezuela . that's what they get for voting in socialists retards

[–]Apexk9-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No that's just other countries taking what they want.

Look at California that was part of Mexico and USA took it. In return Mexico stole land from Guatemala.

Many men who have morals can't get laid.

[–]OfSpock2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

But they're happy within themselves.

[–]nomdplumeFormer Alpha3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wait, wut?

I have morals. I am not necessarily "happy within myself", especially when it comes to sex/love/relationships, right now. And certainly not because of the morals I have.

In fact, I could argue that I might be much happier if I had fewer morals. i definitely would have improved my sex life.

[–]AnUndecidedPill[S] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

They're probably not as happy as they seem or as other people perceive them. They're probably going thorough hell on the inside, especially as they watch as the world operates counter to their "good" nature.

[–]OfSpock3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Not really, most good men I know are married or in relationships. Only in red pill land do these guys turn into foreveralones.

[–]disposable_pants2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What makes you think most good men are in relationships, and what makes you think those are happy relationships? This is no more than just world thinking.

[–]OfSpock0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Because they're my friends, colleagues and coworkers. It's not that hard to tell whether people are in a happy relationships or not.

[–]disposable_pants1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

"Most men" is a much larger group than your friends, colleagues, and coworkers. And I guarantee you that many of your colleagues and coworkers keep parts of their personal lives -- especially parts that would involve relationship problems -- out of the office.

[–]CH4D-9000-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You don't think it's a little odd that red pill theory relies on rationalizations like that?

[–]disposable_pants0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Which part is a rationalization? The fact that one guy on the internet's friends don't constitute "most men," or the fact that many people don't share intimate details of their romantic relationships with coworkers and colleagues?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yea, but those men rarely have any fun

[–]OfSpock4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Even though some women might initially be attracted to such a man, most people will turn away from you after a while if you are abusive and asshole-ish more often than a few times. Putting on such a behaviour will make you a lonely, unhappy and miserable person sooner or later.

[–]TW_CountryMusicbluepill redneck2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

most people will turn away from you after a while if you are abusive and asshole-ish more often than a few times.

Exactly. And it's important to note that "most people" doesn't just mean women -- it means friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, employers...

Most people don't want to be around assholes, and most assholes aren't able to hide their true colors forever. Do it long enough and you'll end up alienating yourself.

So I guess the man in question has to ask himself if it's worth severing his other relationships and ultimately his happiness to get his dick wet a few times.

[–]Truecelacct4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Guys who think women "only go for assholes" are usually assholes. If you think women are some collective hive mind with poor judgement and they all just "can't see what a great guy you are", youre an asshole. Honestly, if you really think that is what they want, go for it. It won't change anything, and maybe it will teach you to stop spouting that stupid rhetoric. Being nice and expecting a woman to date you is like being a chef and expecting a 5 star review just because your food is edible.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep.

Being "nice" is a basic dating skill, like rudimentary personal hygiene and being gainfully employed. Entry level shit.

You don't get to the NFL just because you can successfully throw a spiral.

One argument against is that you'll get shit women. Look around you. TRP employs all kinds of methods and yet they invariably seem to end up with AWALT-class women. If you employ shallow methods you will likely end up with shallow women. If that's fine with you then go for it.

If being an unethical and stealing gangster gets men more money, why shouldn't men strive to be that?

[–]AnUndecidedPill[S] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, some of the root causes of crime is poverty, the whole reason guys get into the dope game isn't to look tough or cool, it's to make more money than they ever would have in their whole lifetime doing things the 'legitimate' way.

If your takeaway point from TRP is that you have to be an unethical and abusive asshole to get laid, then you're doing it wrong.

The point is more that unethical and abusive assholes sexually succeed despite being supposedly unlikeable people by common society. These types tend to have a likeable quality/charisma to them. The point is that alphas get laid, some of which are unethical abusive assholes, not the other way around. All alphas are sexually successful. Not all assholes are alphas.

Of course, most of the BPers gave unsatisfactory answers, imo. But to answer your question, being an asshole will help you get sex at the cost of your goodwill with other people. Your reputation counts for a lot and being nice to average people you aren't trying to game (and even the ones you are trying to have sex with) can have a lot of benefits outside of sex. You can still fuck all those girls if you embody the right amount of alpha traits without any cost to your reputation. Having a good reputation will open doors for you in life, introduce you to new and interesting people, new and interesting hobbies, and benefit your career. Not to mention being a dick gets old with your plates. If you want a long term relationship that lasts more than 6 months with someone who's worth a damn, they won't put up with bullshit for very long. Alpha demonstrates your sexual value, not your relationship value.

I'm successful with women and my career. I live a rich life. Didn't have to be a dick to anybody or do anything questionable to get there.

[–]midnightvulpine-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because.. there is more to life than sex? And one's reputation can effect their life going forward? Sure, one might slip through without issue, but there is always the risk of whatever drama or trouble caused by having a negative personality can follow you into the rest of your social and professional life.

One should be who they want the rest of the world to know them as at all times. Otherwise, it runs the risk of infecting the rest of your life with an image you don't want others to associate with you.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd rather be a decent human being and not get laid than to be a shallow douche bag who does. If women want to be that stupid about who they choose then they can suffer the consequences but I'm not going to get myself shipped to jail for "abuse" or "rape" by playing with fire like the assholes do.

They are into themselves, physically strong, want women mostly just for sex, and care most about what they want.

The only women sleeping with "unethical and abusive assholes" are:

  1. Women with low self-esteem/mental health issues
  2. Very stupid women
  3. Women who were tricked

Because of the above, the man does not get to skip away scot free.

He's playing with fire, because the sex wasn't on equal ground. He may be stalked by the woman afterward (physically and on social media), his wife/girlfriend told about his cheating, his name smeared, STDs (he's having sex with people who are not careful), pregnancies (again, he's having sex with people who are not careful), losing credibility/job prospects etc when word gets around.

The women who were tricked will also make his life a living hell.

His behaviour from the past WILL return to haunt him during his life, especially if he rises to any position of prominence.

But ... strive away, red pillers!!!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You can't trick someone into sex.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can't trick someone into sex.

The subject is "unethical and abusive assholes".

Unethical people often lie and cheat. You can indeed trick someone into sex or a relationship. I wasn't speaking only about sex - although if the other person told you they were single, in love with you and you believed you were in a solid relationship with them - and then discovered they were married and using you, you would indeed have been tricked into sex & believing you were in a relationship.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A woman is only touching your wiener if they are hot for you. You cannot trick someone into the sack. If they fuck you, they wanted to fuck you and felt you were attractive. This is the same argument people used to use against PUAs and stuff claiming their tricks were "tricking women into bed!". It's nonsensical.

The only way you could legitimately trick someone into sex and/or a relationship would be your example, plus getting into an LTR by lying to her about things like kids or whether you wanna get married, or something, but that's about it.
