Why do some redpillers avoid/dislike "sluts" (women who have sex with many men)? Please, no juvenile urban legend type reasons (her vagina loose, sloppy seconds, AIDS, etc...).

Weird way to frame the question. Dislike for sluts is hardly confined to TRP. Most human cultures have a taboo or shame associated with female promiscuity. The better question is why do most people avoid/dislike sluts.

The answer to that is two fold, female competition/mate guarding, and male desire to ensure paternity, both of which result in an instinctive, primate-brain level disdain for promiscuous women. That's why I hate sluts. Biology, and at a more cerebral level, a healthy respect for and embrace of the purpose underlying that biological mechanism. So my dislike of sluts has two components, one of which is reinforced by TRP, but the other part is just innate.

Sluts make bad LTR partners, by the way. Another little truth that mother nature recognizes and implants in our brains in the form of slut-hate.

Having said all that, I don't hate sluts so much as i want to fuck them a few times and discard them afterward.

[–]We_Are_LegionAutumn Red3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Excellent answer.

I'd also add that you can't really game sluts... and also have a desire to marry or have an LTR of any sort with them. Its really hard. I don't think many men with options really want to marry sluts.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Dislike for sluts is hardly confined to TRP. Most human cultures have a taboo or shame associated with female promiscuity.

Except modern, enlightened, progressive culture. It is confided to TRP in that sense that it is roughly confined to conservative people: to people who do not identify with modern culture, but one of traditonal ones.

The better question is why do most people avoid/dislike sluts.

People who subscribe to modern culture generally don't. They may dislike overly flirty behavior, but hardly even consider matters like partner count. I know because as a 36 years old man I had not even heard the idea of partner count of women before I found these subreddits. They just told me stories like I had a BF like this, and like that, and like that, and I did not exactly make a tally.

enlightened,

Interesting way to describe the rise in single mother families, where boys are statistically 11 times more likely to go to jail.

At one time people also thought blacks were worth less than whites because we "are dark." There are still antiquated cultures that are against gays because "it's not natural." The "slut" idea is beginning to die the same natural death, along with all the other crap our society thinks. Try as you might to hold on to the way things should be, our generation will be gone, and the younger generations will laugh at us the same way we do at the asinine shit our ancestors thought.

At one time people also thought blacks were worth less than whites because we "are dark."

Also the fact that Africans were about a thousand years behind Europeans developmentally, but sure.

There are still antiquated cultures that are against gays because "it's not natural."

It's not as natural as heterosexuality, that's for sure. Or there'd be more homos than not and the species would struggle to propagate itself.

The "slut" idea is beginning to die the same natural death, along with all the other crap our society thinks.

Who cares what society thinks? You don't need society to tell you to hate sluts - it happens automatically. :3

Try as you might to hold on to the way things should be, our generation will be gone, and the younger generations will laugh at us the same way we do at the asinine shit our ancestors thought.

I agree. A few decades from now we'll be laughing at the rise and fall of liberalism in the west, with its oppression olympics and rabid sjws, just like we poke fun at the USSR.

so, RP is racist against sluts, and the fact that they're a huge risk factor is just eugenics?

It's another learned form of hate, it is not ingrained in our biology.

[–]StabbyPantsPillhead0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

it isn't hate to say that sluts are a high risk for LTRs.

"Fags are flamboyant."

Is it hateful to say that? I would say so! Even if I were serious and claimed I didn't hate them, what I said does not apply to everyone and I am using a degrading term to describe an entire group of people.

it's stereotyping and also not really actionable. try again.

I am using a degrading term to describe an entire group of people.

I am objecting to the tone and disagreeing with what you say, although I have more of a problem with the tone and the derogatory name.

[–]StabbyPantsPillhead2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

do you have anything to back up your objection, or are you just annoyed at the world?

[–]amoebacake-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yes, I do. I'm not "just annoyed at the world," it's a lot more personal to me than that. I will spare you my story, I doubt you would care. But when I hear of young girls being bullied, shamed for being "sluts," which is extremely subjective to begin with, some to the point of suicide, it breaks my heart. The implication that you can be worth less by being a slut encourages girls to be ashamed of their sexuality and bodies, because something so personal to them is up for review by men and other women. To you, it is just a word, to many girls it is so much more.

Here's a reply I posted earlier to show why.

This guy puts the data together across multiple studies far better than I could. Combined sample sizes in the tens of thousands;

1 , 2, 3, 4

No, I won't tl;dr. This stuff is interesting.

If you really need one though, http://freenortherner.com/2013/06/21/sexonomics-odds-of-divorce/ does a very provocative summary of this(http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr049.pdf).

Other links if you like sifting through data on your own(distinct from above): http://www.ncfr.com/pdf/press_releases/PRESS%20RELEAS2.pdf http://www.hookingupsmart.com/2013/11/25/hookinguprealities/casual-sex-bums-out-both-genders/
http://s3.amazonaws.com/thf_media/2003/pdf/Bookofcharts.pdf

tl;dr the risk increase from a promiscuous woman is akin to the risk increase from an uneducated woman, and worse by most metrics(depression as an example). It outcompetes it at just about 2-3 partners. A woman with around 6-10 or more partners wins the race by miles.

EDIT: Someone told me some interesting summarized graphs to include for those who are lazy. It's not just divorce. Its infidelity. STDs, depression, unhappiness.: https://i.imgur.com/rrLe319.jpg

http://nationalmarriageproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/NMP-BeforeIDoReport-Final.pdf

http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/352992?uid=2&uid=4&sid=21104723503417

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16131411

The results of moderated multiple regression analyses revealed that a respondent's number of sexual partners, level of dysfunctional impulsivity, satisfaction with current relationship, and quality of relationship alternatives significantly predicted inclination to engage in both of the extradyadic activities

According to the multiple regression analyses, number of sexual partners is a significant predictor.

The reason TRP disparages sluts is because the rest of the BP world tries to convince you, you should like them. For no real reason. TRP takes up the mantle and says no. There are a lot of reasons why they're objectively likely to be poor choices.

Besides being a great risk for not only divorce, but relationship dissatisfaction, promiscuous women are also unappealing emotionally to a lot of these men. Call the reasons whatever you like. But a guy doesn't feel an emotional and probably sexual aversion reaction to a marriage with a poorly educated woman. He does to sluts.

For some guys, innocence and femininity even turns them on. shock-horror. A college degree does not.

And lastly, you are operating under the assumption that RP really cares about these divorce risks. Not just from promiscuity, but for any risk factor. It really doesn't. They're just data that supports a choice we would've made anyway.

[–]exit_sandmanstill not the MGTOW sandman FFS7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They're just data that supports a choice we would've made anyway.

And even if we do make that choice, we still use the data.

Something many BPers fail to understand is the value RPers attribute to hard and valid data and a wealth of collective experience instead of treating every relationship like a unique snowflake that's worthy of being cherished and being considered as special and out of the norm when actually it isn't. There are several red flags that indicate increased risk, and past promiscuity is an especially huge one.

If I am entering an intimate situation with a woman where, due to accumulated red flags there's a 50% chance by default that things go south between us at some point (whether that means divorce, cheating, dead bedroom or whatever), I sure as hell won't marry or have children with her.

[–]garlicextract0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Interesting that there are absolutely NO BP'ers providing counterpoints to this post.

Hard data. Can't argue with a large sample size, I guess.

[–]Klapped19 points20 points21 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think trp really hate sluts, they just advise you to treat sluts like sluts, nothing more. Solid advice.

Those that do hate sluts do so for the following possible reasons:

1) sluts don't want to fuck them ---> anger.

2) negative life experience - getting cheated on or maybe their dad dumped their mum for a slut etc etc.

But there's no valid reason to hate sluts, I really don't see the issue, personally. What's not to like about better sex that's easier to get...

[–]IsabelLeyte14 points15 points16 points 11 years ago* (23 children) | Copy Link

I think it makes common sense that if a person has a history of having relationships they don't take too seriously and then breaking up and moving on to another relationship, again and again, that there is a good chance that they will continue to do so.

Yeah, I assume they will stop at some point, and have a great life-long relationship. Lets say they are predestined to stop at some number, call it n.

If I am looking for a life-long partner, I don't know if I am n or n-12, or n-7, or n-1, or n-3.

An attractive girl or guy that takes relationships seriously, is looking for a LTR, picks SO's carefully for that purpose, does not "get tired of people", and does not break up casually won't have a big number of past relationships.

(Not a RP guy, just a guy)

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Sure, but why then do TRPers advocate 'spinning plates' and try to get as much sex as possible?

Hypocritical much?

[–]nopbeentheredonethatRed Pill Man9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because it all depend on what you want!

If you don't want a LTR and just casual sex spinning plate make sens and you can be a lot less picky with the women that you choose to bed.

But if you are serious about relationship and want to be a dad then you will be looking for someone who as the same value.

This is not rocket science you know?

[–]throwinoutex-Red Pill, now Purple Man[🍰] 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Because men are not women.

[–]Those_Who_Remain 5 points5 points5 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Isn't that just a rationalization from men for this potential double standard? I'm a gay guy and dislike the 'male sluts' just as much as many men dislike 'sluts'.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not our fault if the double standard works on our advantage. You are welcome to your own opinion.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

...that doesn't make sense.

Unless you're saying the door and key shit, which is incredibly sexist.

[–]throwinoutex-Red Pill, now Purple Man[🍰] 12 points13 points14 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

First of all, hypocrisy means pretending to hold a view that you do not really hold. So I don't think hypocrisy is the correct term.

Secondly, there are differences in the way men and women have access to sex. This is just the old slut vs stud debate, and I don't think anyone wants to open that can of worms.

I'm sorry reality is sexist.

[–]phasetwenty6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't confuse sexist with inaccurate.

[–]SuccubistaBetaFux0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People "get tired of people" all the time though. That's why many LTRs end, I imagine, because eventually one or both partners aren't feeling it anymore. I think it depends on how two people fit together more than one partner's past, unless it was riddled with cheating.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

So they'd rather have someone who is too lazy to move on than someone who actually stays for a reason. Got it. Might as well just buy them for 10 camels from their father before they even hit puberty and get it over with.

[–]sh1vRed Pill Man8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Might as well just buy them for 10 camels from their father before they even hit puberty and get it over with.

A sensible policy, save for the fact that most women aren't worth 10 camels.

So preferring partners who exercise good judgement and don't have commitment issues = wanting to own women as chattel. Do you know how ridiculous you sound?

[–]IsabelLeyte5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think you missed the part where I said "Picks SO's carefully for that purpose".

There are people looking for a LTR, and there are people who are just looking for sex. They should not seek each other.

Additionally, There are people who would, with a little investigation, obviously make crappy SO's.

[–]fatalcharm2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People who have long term relationships over short term relationships are not "too lazy too move on" fuck you for saying that.

[–]stubingPurple Pillz Here!6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow, you are one of the laziest trolls in this subreddit. You didn't have a body to your thread. Why don't you go back to the blue pill and think to yourself for a while. When you are ready, you can come back here and have a real debate instead of just trolling :)

Man the quality of this subreddit sometimes sucks ass. Usually the blue pillers that come here aren't this disingenuous.

[–]OccamsRaiser-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

What are your feelings on women who sleep around a lot but generally don't get into relationships?

Personally, I can accept the notion that a girl (or guy) who dates and cheats, dates and cheats perpetually is bad LTR material (unless it was way, way in the past, because people grow up). But a girl (or guy) who intentionally stays out of relationships while they sleep around actually seems to be great LTR material to me. It indicates that she sees relationships as valuable and is not flippant about making commitments. Thus, if she does want to date you seriously, that's setting you apart from years of casual, uncommitted encounters.

That's a major issue I take with TRP. You can't equate someone who sleeps around casually but doesn't feign emotional investment with someone who wants to have a steady boyfriend but has no problem cheating on him.

[–]IsabelLeyte5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The problem, of course is that you have to trust her word that all those past FWB situations were actually FWB situations, and not attempted real relationships that she quickly got sick of.

[–]exit_sandmanstill not the MGTOW sandman FFS3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem, of course is that you have to trust her word that all those past FWB situations were actually FWB situations, and not attempted real relationships that she quickly got sick of.

Or attempts from her to get into relationships with guys out of her league that she retroactively declared sour grapes.

[–]OccamsRaiser0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well yeah, but that's literally true of everything she says and does, and everything you say and do. You can always qualify an argument with "assuming that she's being honest and genuine..." but then you've pretty much eliminated the basis of the discussion.

My assumption in my example is that the girl is accurately describing her history, same as any hypothetical.

[–]IsabelLeyte2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

My assumption is that you know something about her sexual history, because small town or same campus, etc.

Also, my experience as a guy knowing guys in these situations is that typically, there is one person who is FWB with several who all think they are working on a relationship. FWB situations are often not what they are claimed to be.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TRP doesn't "hate sluts". We love sluts. We only advise men never to marry or LTR them. Where many men run into trouble is when a slut turns 29 and demands to start being treated like a chaste little innocent girl who's worthy of long term commitment. We resent women that act like this. If you were a slut at 25, great. We love you. But we aren't marrying you at 35. Slutty tendencies, like all vices, die hard. Even a reformed smoker will have an urge to smoke, even years after quitting, because of the dopamine release it causes in the brain.

[–]fizolof9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Easy question answered a million times already.

Because there is absolutely no purpose in committing to a woman when so many men have already gotten her best assets so easily.

For the record, it is FAR from "redpillers" that believe this. The vast majority of men on this planet agree with this.

[–]Those_Who_Remain 6 points6 points6 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Nah. TRP constantly censors opinions that don't not fit the norm. That's well within their rights, but don't pretend it doesn't happen.

I could be as civil and serious as possible, but constantly going to state non-rp arguments is going to get me banned.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

99% of outsiders who show up to try to have a "civil" discussion ultimately degrade into doing one of two things:

  • Insults ("you terpers are idiots" "wtf is wrong with you guys blah blah")

  • Concern Trolling ("boy I really feel sorry for you guys" "I'm surprised Reddit lets this place stay around blah blah")

Both of which aren't tolerated.

Attraction is not a choice. Neither is repulsion. Promiscuous behavior is a huge turnoff for some people. In my experience and observation, guys are far more likely to care about their LTR's partner count. They don't seem to care if its a girl they don't take seriously, though. Girls are turned off by some shit guys do too, IE conveying way too much interest way too obviously too fast.

There could be some "biotruth" at work regarding paternity assurance, since only women are truly sure their kid is theirs in nature, and thus men who were repulsed by promiscuous women could conceivably have reproduced more via lower likelihood of being cuckolded. But ultimately IDK why guys are repulsed/distrustful of promiscuous females, they just are, and I highly doubt it is going to go away.

Attraction/repulsion are not usually rational. Most people could mate and safely have healthy kids/be assure of their paternity just fine with modern technology, but attraction/repulsion instincts are left over from most of human history when such things did not exist.

I just don't reward their behavior with the status that comes with being in a relationship with me.

There is a real world status penalty for being in a relationship with a slut. Sluts are more likely to cheat on you. Sluts are unlikely to share my values. Sluts also carry the very much increased risk of diseases, which are absolutely a deal breaker.

A lock that can be opened my many keys is a shitty lock.

  1. While I wouldn't be so worried about AIDS, concerns about getting, say, herpes are very well-founded. A substantial segment of the population has the disease and it's not hard to figure out what kind of person is most likely to have it.

  2. Because sex requires no effort for women to get (men are the ones who approach, women just say yes or no), slutty behavior demonstrates a certain lack of character to a lot of people. It shows a lack of self-restraint, an inability to resist the temptation to over-indulge in hedonistic behaviors, similar to someone who drinks too much or sits around and smokes pot every day.

  3. There is a proven correlation between higher partner counts in women and higher incidence of divorce. If you are looking for a serious LTR, you want to maximize your odds that the person will actually, y'know, stay with you long-term. Sluts are more likely to get bored and decide that you are not good enough; because they have experienced so much variety before, eventually they will begin to miss it. People might not like it, but that's how it is.

[–]GayLubeOilTrue Red Pill1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I guess its really juvenile to believe that a woman who frequently has sex with random men has a high risk of transmitting sexual diseases.

[–]Those_Who_Remain 5 points5 points5 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Easy solution: Do STD tests.

And this can't be the (main) answer, because RPers often say they still love to 'pump and dump' sluts, so they still jump right into the STD-risks.

[–]GayLubeOilTrue Red Pill2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

AIDS is a "juvenile urban legend?"

And you want me to take this post seriously? You do realize, a woman or a man increases the risk of them contracting an STD with more partners right?

Here's a source before BP hounds me for believing in "juvenile urban legend type reasons": https://www.aids.gov/hiv-aids-basics/prevention/reduce-your-risk/sexual-risk-factors/

[–]Those_Who_Remain 3 points3 points3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You do realize, a woman or a man increases the risk of them contracting an STD with more partners right?

How do you explain the sentiment of many RPers (even in this thread) that are totally fine with having sex with sluts (despite that larger risk of STDs)? If they truly disliked sluts for the reason of increased risk of STDs, shouldn't they also avoid them in casual sexual encounters?

[–]AerobusThe Red Pill is Truth0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A lot of RPers don't dislike sluts for the reason of increased risk of STDs. When a man sleeps with a slut, he is cognizant of the risk he is taking. I would wager that when a man decides to sleep with a slut, he feels the benefit--sleeping with said slut--outweighs the risk--potential of an STD.

I don't think the benefit outweighs the risk.

[–]buarthaDelights in homosexuality-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Your own boundaries are your call of course, but if you ever do find yourself liking someone with a bit of an adventurous past, you can always ask your partners for clean STD test results before you become seriously involved with them. I don't think it'd be unreasonable, and when I asked it of my partner back when we first got together he didn't think it was either (he has a bit of a history.)

It doesn't completely eliminate risk (6 month windows and all that,) but it's worth keeping in mind.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]stubingPurple Pillz Here!2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not Aerobus, but I personally prefer not to have casual sex just because the risk of STDs even with condoms. The more sex you have with different partners, the higher the odds are of you getting an STD. Unless there becomes a trend of getting tested after every sexual encounter, you will always be safer banging the prude over the slut.

[–]SirNemesistitties not tithe4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A woman just told me she engages in wild sex orgies, and is in the middle of mood swings because she hasn't been able to fuck any of her multiple FWBs.

My first response is "gross". That's the only reason I need. I may not even dislike the concept of group sex. Sounds fun...if I was in it...but hearing a woman talk about it, and knowing she partakes? Gross.

[–]sweeptheleg550 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I dislike the slit culture of America. I think love is the only spiritual clue left behind for us, and maybe its good to keep the physical ritual you can do in that state holy.

Guy or girl it just sucks if your not pursuing real love. You're building habits you wont be able to break.

I also really hate the logic of the modern feminist uses.. Well some guys are huge sluts so we should all be sluts. Women used to guard that sacred thing.

Another issue. For most men picking up a random girl requires a prostitute or a whole lot of prideless douchebag PUA stuff. For a girl you just need to go to a bar and wait. So, to me, a girl picking up guys is a close approximation to a guy picking up prostitutes. The same effort was put in.

It's not just TRP that dislikes sluts btw; almost every culture in existence regards female promiscuity with disdain. Men not wanting to commit to sluts is the norm everywhere and it's only BPers who seem to think this is some bizarre prejudice exclusive to TRP.

because redpillers are insecure and cant accept that women may have had more/better sex than them?

This is a tired, old, argument, and just as "urban legendy" and juvenile as the ones the OP suggested. It has nothing to do with insecurity or being afraid a woman had sex before [us]. If a woman's attractive, she has most certainly lost her virginity many many years ago.

a person's identity is more than how many people they've slept with.

Actually, it's not. How many people you fuck and how often you fuck says a lot about you, and is as reflective of your character and outlook on life, people, sex, and morality as any other major determining factor in your personality. I've never met a conservative person that holds themselves to high standards who had an n count of 50, and I've never met a liberal hedonist who couldn't be trusted to spell their own name who only had an n count of 1 or 2.
