I’ve read some of their posts. I think having goals around self improvement, not being a doormat, not putting up with disrespect, are good goals for anyone in a relationship.

Where I cringe is when they encourage selfishness, and using emotional abusive tactics to knock their parents down. Or when they brag about not being helpful. There’s one right now where a guy bragged about not helping his partner clean up and how he stuck his dick in her mouth and she made him breakfast. I don’t understand why that’s something to brag about but that attitude, to me, represents the kind of man who leaves his wife if she gets sick and is no longer useful for sex and housekeeping, men who just see their wives as a means for getting off and having clean clothes.

I agree with their general ideas about not getting complacent and maintaining sexual interest in a relationship. It's true that a lot of men get lazy about courting their wives and after 20 years wonder why she no longer wants to have sex with him. I also agree that a lot of BP advice like "JUsT do MoRe ChoRes" is dumb (men should definitely contribute equally to household maintenance but let's be real, doing the dishes isn't going to give her that WAP).

However like any niche interest over time the original advice is going to get distorted and you end up with a bunch of autismo advice and made up stories like what you posted.

Contrary to what everyone is pushing, there are no differences between how ONS, FWB and LTRs work. Are both parties sexually attracted to one another? Great, you have a relationship - of any kind.

(There ARE many "fake" LTRs where the woman only settled on the man for whatever personal reasons, but they're not to be considered)

So yeah, TRP can be used for marriage too. Arguably TRP is MORE important for marriage, because it's in marriages where female attraction usually plummets since the guy is no longer a catch, you already got him.

Everything TRP teaches that is unique to TRP for short term success is not only "not good" for LTRs but actually "actively bad." That is, they make things actively worse for LTRs than otherwise. Everything that is not unique to TRP can be learned in a healthier way that doesn't come with negative baggage.

It's the only way to have a successful marriage unless you are willing to dumpster dive. TRP shows how female sexuality works and how to generate sexual desire from women. Sexual desire is crucial in a relationship. If you lose it, the relationship is doomed.

You are going to have a harder time maintaining the woman's attraction in an LTR/marriage of course (especially marriage) because of the lessened dread, familiarity, beta nature of relationships etc. Its RP on hard mode. It's not impossible but as I said in a previous post I made, I don't think most men have what it takes to make it successful.

Yes, and that's retroactively compensating for poor or nonexistent vetting ability. Idk if it's because we have a bunch of unreliable narrators but when I lurked 80% of the men on that sub seemed to have useless wives who couldn't do anything properly and justified it with "women are children." Like they married the first decently attractive woman who would agree to have their babies with zero concern for her competence in literally anything.

I remember a post about having to make a diet/workout plan for his wife. How does she not understand weight loss? If there's a medical issue involved that's what professionals are for. If she doesn't want to be non-fat that's a different conversation. Either way having to literally treat your spouse like a 5-year-old and convincing yourself that it's normal is crazy to me.

The problem with these types of posts is that 1) you are selecting which pieces of advice to focus on and not considering the full spectrum of marriage advice on marriedrp, 2) there is a wide spectrum of advice from the dark triad/borderline abusive stuff to fairly tame stuff like "DARE don't DEER", and 3) every individual seeking advice takes away something different - some may just want the mindset shift that "DARE don't DEER" offers while others may find the conditioning and control shit resonates more.

The example you showed clearly looks like a joke to me. I'd suggest you spend more time lurking on marriedrp to get a sense of what the full spectrum of advice/strategy is. There's plenty there that is effective.

On a separate note: I see a lot of comments here about conditioning being bad. I wonder how many of you are in relationships at all. There is always some degree of training and conditioning going on in both directions - each partner has likes and dislikes about the other and unconsciously incentivizes or disincentivizes those behaviors. IN general though, it is considered more socially acceptable for the female to manipulate and control the male.

RP “strategy” boils down to behave in ways that make you more sexually attractive to women, based on that which women actually choose for sexual intimacy rather than what they say they would choose.

So, seeing as remaining sexually attractive to your LTR partner is key to a healthy LTR we’re better served by RP philosophy in the context of an LTR than we are without it.

Marriage is (by definition) a chronic case of oneitis. In terms of male sexual strategy (where novelty reigns supreme) this presents a considerable challenge! RP (correctly) calls oneitis a disease to be avoided at all costs: if Girl 1 is not interested, quickly move on to Girl 2. Makes perfect sense in a dating context, agree? But marital bonds (by design) makes it not-so-quick and rather expensive to just "move on."

Along with oneitis, marriage (usually) comes with expectation of sexual fidelity. Consider that 20% of marriages are sexless, and most of those due to an uninterested wife. Here we have the dilemma that MRP faces: the only woman you are "allowed" to have sex with does not want it (with you). And I don't mean the occasional "not feeling it tonight dear" but a persistent state of disinterest (sexless marriage = 10 times per year or less).

See how this is fundamentally different from a dating context? See how MRP would go in different direction from RP?

Let's say you oppose any of the manipulative methods that RP/MRP might otherwise suggest to "trick" an uninterested wife into having unwanted sex. Where does that leave a horny husband? His solution for sexless marriage is actually quite simple: open marriage. Just as I support a wife's right to lose interest in sex, likewise I support a husband's right to lose interest in monogamy. These are actually reciprocal forces: the one produces the other. While I am vehemently opposed to cheating in general, opening a sexless marriage is a completely reasonable outcome and quite frankly should be expected.

Dad remarried pretty quickly after my folks divorced.
