That’s exactly what it means. This sub highlights how few people who post actually understand nuance and how many people make bad faith arguments. RP is a toolset that comes with various types of measuring tools. AWALT is a reminder that straying away from red pill principles will increases the chance that a woman will cheat.

Because it's generally true. You don't operate in the outside world as if exceptions are true, you operate under a general set of legal and social rules because most people are like that. Exceptions exist and are harder to find, but they don't disprove general rules either. For every 1 girl who's an exception there's 50-100 THOTs who aren't. You're not gonna run into that 1 girl all that often, if ever, so you're gonna operate under the assumption that most are going to be those 50-100 THOTs until proven otherwise.

I see AWALT the same way we use a seatbelt. The chances of getting into a lethal car accident are low compared to the amount of safe trips everyday. But it does not mean you will stop wearing your seatbelt.

Suppose I believe all men are rapists. This would mean that if you are a male, you are a rapist. Let us suppose someone interjects by saying that they know a lot of people who are men and did not rape, then I argue back “every man is a potential rapist or has the capacity too” or “he may not be a rapist yet, but in this very specific circumstances he would rape”. Most people would be rather skeptical that this is a good description of male behavior as most men are not going to rape. It would be like saying all people are killers because in specific circumstances they would kill or all people are great artists because in some circumstances people are.

The same thing applies to hypergamy. It is just saying that “every woman is potentially hypergamous”, which is a dull observation. Now if a woman describes her marriage, and how much she loves her “beta” husband, then at some point she just leaves him for someone better then Red Pill users will say “this is proof of hypergamy”, but then in the case she stays with him until one of them dies it can be retorted “well you know she would have if the opportunity came up”.

Given what I wrote, it is quite unclear why AWALT is something that even needs to be taken seriously. As for why Red Pill users would believe this they probably have several different motivations such as a response to generalizations on the other side or as a coping mechanism of some kind.

I think becouse at their core most women are like that, becouse even if they don't act on it their own reality is diferent to (most) males experience.

It's a short way to explain that even the most loyal girlfriend may feel tempted sometimes, right?

I think I understand it becouse I was "like that" time ago. I cheated, I brach swinged, I tried to settle down for the average looking but nice stable girl...

As a man I did all what the RP atributes to women, but later in life I learned that most guys don't have it easy.

I think these guys are separating what constituyes the reality of dating of two separate groups, the unlucky guys and women and lucky guys.

Ive never cheated but have been cheated on. My first love did.

I just wont ever throw everyone under the same bus, Im just aware of behaviours. I give others the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise. I dont go in thinking I will be treated bad thats what I will get.

If you look for it you may see things that fit your narrative that is not actually happening. You're blinded by your own negativity/trust issues.(not to say things may not ever be legitimately bad)

I just have more faith in people I guess.

You’re dealing with a bunch of weak men. So of course they are going to be cheated on more, branch swung away from more, left for better men more, lose their attractiveness more, be more disposable, be disrespected more, and so on. Put a bunch of similar people in a room and trends will emerge. Some of those trends made it into TRP parlance.

That said, TRP is correct about most everything. It’s just that low quality men (“betas” as they call themselves) are going to suffer inevitable consequences. It’s a bit of that self-fulfilling prophecy thing.

So is AWALT accurate? Sure. Women have certain general characteristics, both good and bad. But who is going to be exposed more to the bad parts than the good? RP men.

Don’t take my word for it. Just listen to them.

People have the freedom to act however they want with their free will. I don't know why it's highlighted for women when men on TRP pat themselves on the back for cheating and being amoral.

I think it's because some men have issues with abundance. They latch onto one women physically and mentally, and hold on for dear life. In a sense we are all like that with our first loves. So this line of thinking can help take this woman off the pedestal, but you can also just portray it as 'don't be a doormat, there are plenty of fish in the sea'.

It often seems like coping with not being the most attractive option available, ie. if you have hotter friends women (and men) you just meet will likely go for them, laugh harder at their jokes, so you can just say AWALT to yourself and move on. You very rarely will be the most attractive option available in a given environment though. So it's best not to take it personally.

Mgtow and trp say AWALT, the fact is that we both know that isn't strictly true but that doesn't matter.

If we have a default position that it is true then by default we are watching what women do and not what they say. We don't get caught in a trap often of our own making, by that I mean believing you've found a unicorn when in fact all your doing is ignoring a bunch of red flags in favour of maybe some pussy.

For mgtow it goes deeper in that we approach any interaction with a woman from a standpoint of what is her ulterior motive, what damage is she going to do to me, while trp approach it from the viewpoint that she's going to cheat or lie, mgtow are more concerned with loss of family, home or freedom or all of the above inclusive of cheating etc.

Mgtow and trp know how intrinsically men allow their dicks to rule their heads and hearts, it's something that all women are acutely aware of when you understand that mental manipulation is the goto for all women, if your about to argue that's not true, ask yourself why wear makeup, is it really for yourself, or is it for validation from others. If it's really for yourself then why bother, why bother when it's something for you and you don't care what others think. If you do care what others think then you're seeking some form of validation, in this case it's through admiration from others.

Let's look at another easy example, asking a man for help with a task and showing some breast, or leg, of course nothing is going to come of it and it's his fault for thinking that it will, really, of course you didn't entice with your breasts or legs etc.

Here's the thing, we say AWALT to each other as a reminder to use our heads not our dicks to think for us. To spot those red flags, when a woman is after something that can cost you more in the end.

If it upsets women then maybe it should, maybe it's about time that women stop demanding men be better and maybe it's about time women up their game and instead of blaming men for everything that goes wrong women stop for a second, take a look at their own behaviour and do better and maybe just maybe men will then have a reason to be better themselves.

Every man and woman has the capability to cheat. Old news. I think a lot of red pill philosophies stem from an uprising more than ever given the liberal laws that revolve around marriage and property division. The laws are archaic yet the rules and societal expectations have changed.

Also men traditionally have been shamed when your woman leaves you for another man. Yet men do not really get shamed for cheating and almost expected or in some cultures glorified for having multiple females.

I think it is a combination of male ego and laws. In my own anecdotal experience, I would not care too much if a woman left, I can simply find another one. I would however have an issue if I invested heavily in emotion, time and finances. Hence the AWALT principle is brought up to prevent men from making a highly probable mistake in today's fickle society.

AWALT can be best explained in Freudian terms, I think.

It's just a statement that the sexual aspect of women's id is quite different from the sexual id of men. The interplay of this id with the superego of each of these people will determine what their actual ego is: If the superego is well-developed, their ego will be healthy, "moral," "well-adjusted." If the id dominates, the people will be a bit of train wreck.

Men's sexual id is marauding, kinda blind, primal (from our perspective, anyway). It wants to accumulate breeding opportunities and variety in its hedonism. Men have plenty of trouble controlling this id, in general, and many of the evils that men visit on women in relationships can be traced to this.

Women's sexual id appears far more... sophisticated(?) when compared to this male id. It is driven to strive for some apex with respect to mating opportunities. From the male perspective, it's just weird. A naive (and, you don't have to be too naive at all!) man finds this notion almost incomprehensible: How could these base desires be so different? Does she like to fuck or not? It makes almost no sense without a context.

All women have this id. Some women have well-developed and strong superegos. Some do not. The outcomes in each of these cases is different, therefore. It's not really accurate to say that AWALT is just a statement about what could happen ('treat all guns as if they are loaded'). It's much deeper and pervasive than that. It is the base of their nature from a sexual standpoint. It is not based on their education, their class, or even their own conception of their selves (that's their ego!). It persists: AWALT.
