Instagram is turning into Pornhub. I followed a lot of plus-size models for fashion inspo, but I can’t seem to scroll through my feed anymore without seeing someone in lingerie or fully naked. I think it’s really cheap attempts at validation. You can love your body without plastering it all over the internet for likes and comments. Plus, the issue with the body positivity movement that is so prevalent on Insta is that it’s just seeking to expand the definition of what men find attractive and fuckable. It’s still male pandering.

I think it's because they want to be like those instagram models because they want to be validated and feel beautiful and attractive - this has become like a goal to accomplish for many women. As someone who used to have an Instagram and deleted it a few months after discovering FDS, I can attest to the fact that I was looking up to Instagram models and wanted to be as admired and followed like them (especially since I grew up with very low self esteem).

Its definitely not.

And I dont really get why women do that either. I mean its probably for validation because they feel insecure or attention honestly.

I use this photography app where you upload photos and people will vote for them and sometimes women will just upload their super low quality taken with their phones full on nudes with their face in it and everything. Weird to me lol.

Validation. Period. I've gone cold turkey on all my social media (except Reddit and Pinterest 😬) and I've never felt better. I know it's just been a week but going to ride this wave till it lasts.

It's not healthy at all. I don't get the whole obsession with Instagram models or influencers. Filters, surgery, makeup, hair products, poses etc?, I mean, it's not real. It's unhealthy when people are obsessing and chasing unattainable things.

Instagram is a cesspit and has made me lose respect for almost all the people I've dated/ played into it ending with them, because they follow/like pics of half naked chicks.

I love photography and post mainly urban photography shots, have no shots of myself. I take damn good photos and remember a few occasions when I'd post one and the dude I was dating wouldn't like it but would like a photo a half naked chick posted. It seems petty, but it's not. Take care of the small clues that show up.

I have friends who model boudoir and such. I don’t judge them for it because whatever their reasons, whether it’s for attention or empowerment, men will look at women as objects. By claiming interpretive sovereignty over what you want to do, that is resistance, even if it is only acknowledged by yourself. The problem is that people will treat women differently if it’s easier to sexualize her (among other endless reasons). In an ideal world, nobody would be maligned for how they chose to present themselves. But they do, so protecting your interests by presenting yourself a certain way is logical.

I also recently ended things with someone because he followed instagram models. Disappointing, but oh well, at least I found out what type of man he is sooner rather than later.

I don't get it either. The thought of strange men doing who knows what with my pictures terrifies me.

Because if you don’t partake or show off, there’s something wrong with you are you might be a “pick me”. It’s not cool to “not be like other girls” that are secretly looking for male validation under the guise of “female empowerment”.

Haven't read through the comments yet but strongly feel that as HVW we do not show them what we've got until they've earned it. You will not find partially nude or any kind of provocative pictures of me anywhere online for free public consumption.

That said, if you got it, and want to flaunt it, do you. No judgment, I just don't follow or like those images.

I know I look good naked. I work to maintain myself FOR ME, and my HVM man benefits from and appreciates what is for our eyes only.
