This is what the feminist movement is currently achieving. Rape is such a pet issue and people are encouraged to believe rape accusations no matter how little proof there is, that women are seeing it as a tool they can use to gain sympathy, fix personal issues, or exact a price on men they have a vendetta against.

This actually happened at the college I'm attending. My friend knew her pretty well from high school and told me he knew it was fake the moment people heard about it. The place where she said it happened was during a time when class was getting out, in the daytime, with the sun out, in the middle of the parking lot. People were writing on bathroom walls about how she was raped and the guy accused deserved to be punished. Then the college informed us that it was a false accusation. I'm pretty sure you can believe the victim and then corroborate her story with evidence beyond a reasonable doubt for a trial. If I say I got robbed, people should believe me first.
