I think this kind of double standard is disgusting, and I'm a woman. My pos mother had my step father arrested for "domestic abuse". He never laid a hand on her. Pisses me off that the legal system automatically sides with the woman. I feel for you men.

[–]KingAchelexus 78 points79 points80 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Thanks for at least having empathy for men, that's the first and most important step for a change.

[–]Ginger803 88 points89 points90 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You are very welcome. There are SO many double standards that are so wrong. Even commercials make me mad. It's ok to show a woman give a man a slap in the head and how men are always portrayed as dumb. Especially when they are shown as fathers.

Yup and if I go anywhere without my kids it "oh is your husband babysitting the kids?" Um no, he's their father. No one ever asks him if I'm babysitting if he goes out. I feel the most bad for you guys when it comes to kids. You have no rights and everyone assumes you are all incompetent. It's sad.

[–]robotsdonthaveblood 15 points16 points17 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My brother is in the same boat. Heaps of legal fees on his head even though he never laid a hand on her and he's staying with her for the kids despite that. Doesn't have a job, drives his spare car even though the timing belt is long over due and when she blows it up he'll be the one to pay for that too. She's so self centred that nothing she does is for the kids, just herself. I can say with all certainty that I hate her.

[–]Ginger803 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I feel bad that he is staying. I hope in the future he changes his decision. If she is treating him this way now, she always will. My mother was always shitty to my step father and purposely dragged out their divorce so he would have to pay more and more in legal fees. Women that them are toxic.

Go back to TRP fucktard.

Without a good strong Alpha to guide them when they go astray, Lesbians suffer from problems that supervised women don't.

You're fucking crazy.

Edit: wow, redpill losers brigading a thread where they got called on their pathetic sexist masquerade, how surprising

[+]EarelevantElephant -8 points-7 points-6 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm fairly certain anyone in TRP has a number of psychological disorders that are shared with politicians and CEOs alike.

Edit: I didn't know there was a cross over between TRP and MR. I'll gladly take my down votes from the TRP trash.

[–]rocelot7 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm really sorry for whatever fucked up thing happened to you to make you buy into the whole redpill thing to the point where you don't even see women as human, but for your own health you should probably find a more productive outlet.

[–]Whisper 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Wow... hook, line and sinker.

Lemme explain something to you, son. GLO is playing you. And he's playing you to prove a very specific point. You see, when he presses you and gets you rattled, how you chose to respond reveals something about you. In this case, you accuse him of being a "misogynist" who "doesn't see women as human", and a "psycho".

Does that sound familiar at all?

It should. Because those are exactly the weapons that feminists have chosen against /r/mensrights. Which supports what he said, in a deliberately inflammatory style, right up front: You are imitating the feminist movement even as you think you oppose it.

Your opposition takes the same form as the feminist movement, you see. It is a public appeal for understanding and fairness. Unconsciously, /r/MensRights is aping the feminist movement, because it desires the same sort of results women got: sympathy and support, and a dismantling of their roles and responsibilities.

You "dream of women feeling your feel". You collectively believe that, if only you can be persuasive enough, you will gain sympathy. The whole reason that /r/MensRights feels a need to exist in the first place is because feminists fucked things up, but you are proceeding forward using their exact strategy.

I foresee a future where the two movements vie to dive onto the turf and writhe in the most convincing pain, trying to get the referee to issue the other a red card. In fact, I don't need to foresee it, because it's the present. And what has been pointed out to you, which so far you have missed, is that the fact that you are engaging in this particular kind of contest is a result of a deep emasculation of the soul, self-inflicted upon our culture by the men of previous generations who gave in to feminism.

Why on earth would you look to women's example for how to win a culture war? What worked for them will not work for you. Instead of writhing on the turf and shooting meaningful glances at the referee, laugh at the women who are, as you run past and keep scoring goals.

[–]Doyle5241 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Let's face it, GLO is sexist. As an egalitarian, I oppose this in the same way your parent commenter does.

[–]Whisper2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Let's face it, GLO is sexist.

What exactly does that mean? What defines a sexist? Are all sexists the same? If not, what else do we need to know about him to know who and what he is?

It's strange to me that you can just post this label on someone, and expect me to accept that as axiomatically refuting his beliefs. What specific idea do you disagree with, and why?

[–][deleted]-6 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That's some grade-A mental gymnastics buddy. Seriously, asking "what is a sexist."

It's pretty simple, it's just prejudice against a sex. Generalizing something that isn't universally true about a group of people is prejudice.

I even quoted him GLO to prove my point when I called him out.

Anyone saying anything along the lines of " all women without men to guide them will run into problems" is sexist. Now, is it true that some women do need someone else in their life to guide them? Maybe, I'm sure that's true of some men as well.

It's just like someone who says "without women in their lives men would be reduced to living in filth and squalor."

How can you not understand that?

As a redpiller, your views on what is acceptable and not sexist are apparently pretty warped, hell, I bet you don't see a problem with sexism, but generalizing that women are incapable of having satisfying lives without unnecessary problems resulting from them being women, without men to guide them, is sexist as fuck.

But I don't expect you to understand that.

[–]Whisper2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I understand precisely.

I am just at a loss as to how to show you your own unexamined assumptions so that you can actually see them. When you say things like "prejudice against", "generalizing", and "sexist", you are caught in a trap. Someone else has designed symbols for you to think with, and given them specific meanings. This someone else has an agenda.

The Lego blocks that you build your thoughts out of were chosen for you. If you don't examine them and pick them apart, then this preselection will continue to control what you can and cannot think.

For example, you use the word "sexist" a lot. This word was invented by feminists, and you were taught to use it. It means all of the following things simultaneously:

  • Belief that the sexes behave differently.
  • Belief that the sexes should behave differently.
  • Belief that one sex is superior to the other.
  • Belief that one sex should have different rights or treatment than the other.
  • Belief that the sexes have different capabilities
  • Being wrong
  • Being evil

Because feminists have created a term "sexist" which glues all these concepts together, you are agreeing with their agenda (in this respect), every time you use the word.

This is why you assume that to prove someone wrong, you need only prove them "sexist". Because your Legos are glued together.

Pry them apart. Examine each proposition individually. This is what I am asking you to do.

[–][deleted]-2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

TRP is a combination of people too lazy to put in the work for /r/seduction (and don't like that they treat women as humans), and don't like the egalitarian principles of /r/mensrights.

Not everyone on the sub is sexist, there's actually a lot of similar content to here, and definitely valuable discussion to be had, but it also enables and tolerates people who straight up hate women or think of them as inferior.

[–]Rathadin1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well that's clearly a load of horseshit since you see a lot of the same posters in /r/seduction as you see in /r/TheRedPill.

[–][deleted]1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What about being a poster in a sub means that you subscribe to the norms of that sub?

[–]Rathadin1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What about being a reader in a sub means that you subscribe to the norms of that sub?

[–][deleted]0 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yes? No?

If I subscribe to /r/seduction does that mean that I agree with the sentiment of most of the posters?

[–][deleted]-4 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

In this case, you accuse him of being a "misogynist" who "doesn't see women as human", and a "psycho".

Actually I inferred all that from the content of his posts.

You keep saying "oh you're acting just like the feminists" but you're wrong

None of my accusations were baseless or generalized to a whole group, they were entirely based off of his posts and applied to him specifically.

Go spew your BS somewhere else, nobody here buys it.

And you realize your post is sexist as fuck right?

[–]killego1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And you realize your post is sexist as fuck right?

Why do you care? 99% of people would think you're sexist.

[–][deleted]-2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

There's a difference between being labeled as sexist inaccurately because people equate criticism of feminism with hating women, and being labeled as a sexist because your posts state that you think of women as inferior.

But recognizing nuance is probably above your abilities.

[–]killego2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

We don't think women are inferior. We think they're different. You're the one valuing gender roles differently. Not everyone can be a leader. Good followers are just as important. Not to mention the stuff that women are better at.

[–][deleted]-1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

See, you might have a point, if I hadn't directly quoted some sexist bullshit the person I replied to said. That's the great thing about quotes, no room for lying.

Don't try to pass of your hateful bullshit as seeing things differently when you losers talk about women like meat or children.

Maybe you personally don't think of women as inferior, but it's absolutely clear that a lot of contributors to TRP (and to MR I might add) do feel this way, and it's necessary to call them out on their BS.

Women aren't the enemy, some women and men who subscribe to ideas that harm men are the enemy.

[–]killego1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

See, you might have a point

Thanks bro that's all I wanted to hear

[–][deleted]0 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Thanks bro that's all I wanted to hear

That's why you should stick to your echo chamber then. Wow what a mature response. Can't say I'm surprised.

Like I said, maybe you personally don't think of all women as inferior, but right now you're defending people that do.

O.O

Did you escape from your padded cell and are posting from the mental ward's computer?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's posting from his supermodel girlfriend's computer, she gives him 20 blowjobs a day while making him sandwiches and saying how inferior her gender is and that without a man in her life she's too childish to manage.

Or he's a sexually frustrated and poorly adjusted person who found an echo-chamber that doesn't point out that he's a bigoted piece of shit.

[–]rudelyinterrupts 64 points65 points66 points 11 years ago (66 children) | Copy Link

This is the kind of thing that i bring up when people ask why MRA's are anti-feminism. I'm not saying these people are feminists but i never see feminists speak out against this type of thinking.

[–]slurpyderper99 19 points20 points21 points 11 years ago (32 children) | Copy Link

Feminism has strayed from its original intent. At its beginnings, feminism was fighting for equality of rights (in America). At some point women were grant full citizenship with the right to vote, and then continued to push for more. Today, seeing as how men and women have identical rights and opportunities in our country, feminism is pushing for women to gain even more position in society. It's no longer an equal rights movement, it's a women's supremacy movement

[–]KaonPlus 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

Today, seeing as how men and women have identical rights and opportunities in our country,

Not saying i support feminism, but that certainly isn't true. Access to birth control and abortion for women is under attack in a massive number of states.

[–]Gnomish8 20 points21 points22 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

identical rights

I don't have access to hormonal birth control or abortions either. So, I guess technically they're right, even though you are most correct.

[+]TKfromCLE 11 years ago* [recovered] (9 children) | Copy Link

I have even fewer rights than a woman when it comes to reproductive rights. I was circumcised at birth. My former S.O. decided to have an abortion when she was pregnant with my child. I had no input in either of those decisions.

[+]TKfromCLE 11 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

I agree that I shouldn't have the right to force her to carry a child that she doesn't want, even if I was okay with raising he child on my own. But there should be something in place to level the field for men. If the tables were turned and she kept a child that I didn't want, I would be sued for child support, but there no equivalent action that I could take. This scarred me; it led to the end of our marriage, I no longer have the desire to be a parent, and it was one of many reasons that put me into a depressive state. But there is no protection in place for me. I couldn't sue, I have no legal recourse. I just have to "man up" and deal.

I appreciate the condolences.

It's been a long 6 years, but I'm finally doing a lot better. That was only a part of my problem, albeit a fairly big part. I've seen a few different counselors and that has helped. The biggest hurdle was to live to make myself happy instead of doing what makes everyone around me happy.

Since I've realized that I uprooted and moved to TX to be closer to my parents, I landed an amazing job with a great salary and an even better quality of life, and I cut ties from a lot of toxic influences. Every day is another step in the process but I know that it's about progress, not perfection.

[–]paragonofcynicism 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

A woman should be able to get an abortion without your input. Being pregnant is a major life event and from all I've gathered it really sucks.

Not when the man is going to be held financially responsible for the child if she keeps it.

If the father is going to be forced to pay alimony for the child if he doesn't want to be the father of it, then he has to have a say in the abortion.

The rights are unequal if a father is responsible for a child at conception, but a woman is only responsible at birth.

Either alimony for a father who did not want the child but the mother did needs to be severely limited to rape cases. Or men have to have a say in abortion decisions.

To argue any different is to argue for unfair rights based on gender. Which is obviously counter to the statement, "I support equal rights for both genders." It then morphs into, "I support equal rights for both genders, unless it benefits me to not have equal rights."

[–]vecnyj 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Child support, not alimony

[–]paragonofcynicism 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Doyle524 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men automatically consent to potential parenthood when they have sex

True.

while women do not.

There's where you're wrong. The act of consensual sex is a consent to parenthood for both parties in a responsible relationship. However, we have options now, where we can change our minds, so to speak.

Also, regarding a woman getting an abortion without the man's input, I think she can do that, but in a responsible relationship, it should be a decision that is discussed and thought through by both affected parties.

[–]uncommonman 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Men has fever rights and more obligations; the two most obvious examples are the right to not have genitals mutilated at birth and the obligation to take responsibility for your own actions (sentencing gap).

[+]KaonPlus -9 points-8 points-7 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Women are obligated to be attractive in order for them to get any attention, regardless of the reason. Women have the obligation to compromise their career in order to start a family.

Next?

[–]Fwob 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You can't be serious. Women often get paid time off to start a family, that's just another advantage. Women who aren't attractive get every right men do, and more.

[+]KaonPlus -6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Paid time off to start a family has nothing to do with my point. They take the time off and as a result of society, end up sacrificing their career.

Lol, look at any news channel. You're far more likely to find attractive, young women than you are old, average women, whereas you'll find plenty of middle age men.

What rights do women have that men do not?

[–]vecnyj 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Access to domestic violence shelters

[–]Celda 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What rights do women have that men do not?

The right to bodily integrity - it is legal to circumcise male infants against their will, but not female.

Men are legally obligated to register for selective service (or actual conscription in other countries. Women aren't.

Men are treated worse than women in all aspects of the legal system, from arrest to sentencing, just for being men. This is a violation of the right to equal treatment under the law, which is actually a supposed right in America under the Equal Sentencing Act.

Those are just a few.

[–]RoflSeal 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Waw, so much oppression.

[–]Arakin 10 points11 points12 points 11 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Access to birth control? Please. There are a billion methods of birth control available to women, and basically only one for men - condoms. And if condoms were the only method available, there would be no outcry, as condoms are effective. Just, as a female, insist that you use condoms while having sex. shrug Even if women were denied completely all alternative methods of birth control, they would still have methods of birth control that are every bit as effective.

Men don't have any alternatives or a say in abortions. So...

[–]KaonPlus -4 points-3 points-2 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Firstly, even insinuating that men should have a say in abortion is abhorrent. The fact that we don't have alternatives or a say in abortions is a byproduct of biology. Why should birth control methods that men have access to have ANY bearing on what women should be allowed to use? Jesus christ.

Condoms make for less stimulating sex. That's a fact, and suggesting that a solution to restrictions to birth control access would be women insisting on using them is not only bizarre, but would result in many, many times more unplanned pregnancies.

Why on gods green earth are you arguing that there's any validity in restricting female access to birth control?

[–]Arakin 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I didn't insinuate men should have a say in abortion.

The ability for men to have birth control options shouldn't have any bearing on women's choices -- I never implied that either.

Yeah, condoms suck, and so does being circumcised. Condoms were the only method of contraception at one point in time.

I never said there was a validity to restricting female access to birth control.

You really have a great way of jumping to your own conclusion you don't enjoy, and then trying to reverse engineer my words to fit your supposition.

[–]KaonPlus -3 points-2 points-1 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

The ability for men to have birth control options shouldn't have any bearing on women's choices -- I never implied that either.

I brought up the fact that men and women don't have equal rights, with birth control as an example. You called bullshit on that, then going on to talk about men having no options. What else could the point of that have been if not mitigation for the restriction of women rights.

and so does being circumcised.

So...what?

I didn't insinuate men should have a say in abortion.

Men don't have any alternatives or a say in abortions. So...

[–]Arakin 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

IF you restrict womens' access to other forms of birth control, you are not denying them a right men have.

[–]KaonPlus -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I beg to differ. The fact that men have access to condoms and nothing else is immaterial. The subject is birth control; the number of varieties doesn't matter in the slightest.

I'm trying to find reasons that you're defending this restriction but it's pretty hard.

[–]Fwob 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

and tell me how women have less access to birth control than men?

[–]Arakin 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not defending it. I'm attacking the wording and the logic. IF this happened, IF there was some war on birth control (which there isn't) and you somehow removed methods from being available to women, it is not an inequality, as men do not have access to those things, so there is no inequality. Doesn't mean it is right, but there is no inequality. It's like banning men from giving birth.

[–]alwaysthepessimist 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh my god are you serious? A condom doesn't feel good so it isn't valid birth control? A woman can't/shouldn't have to ask a man to use one?

First world feminism in a nutshell.

So much ad hominem. You two are arguing different things here.

Personally I think fathers should have a bit more say in an abortion. Not much. Just a bit more. I know you probably can't complete a mental exercise, but can you imagine if the roles were reverse? If your SO just ups and gets an abortion without ever mentioning it to you?

I'm not saying I'd stop my SO from getting an abortion, but if she did, and I wanted to be a father, I'd definitely find another woman to bear it.

You should have MRA's stop saying they are Anti-Feminist. I think I'm the only one on this sub that begs you people to stop calling it Feminism. It's Psuedo-Feminism. MRA's are anti-psuedo-feminism. If you guys keep going out of your way to right long paragraphs about how Feminism is evil, ignorant people with think you hate women, and never take MRA's seriously. If you say, Psuedo-Feminism, people change their ideals so you can accurately explain to them what you mean. Hell, call it 4th Wave Feminism if you have to.

[–]rudelyinterrupts 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I mostly agree with you. I believe it is the third wave of feminism that started so many of the problems men face today. This new wave is actively trying to harm men. That is true pseudo-feminism.

[–]NaughtierLink 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. It's women masquerading under the ideology.

I just feel that clarity is in order to get our point accross. We sound really bad when we generalize Feminists like that... And just look at Christina Hoff Summers, she is still a Feminist that refuses to go by the 'Third Wave' ideology. She even fights it.

[–]Ricwulf 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The problem is, it is those in the Psuedo-Feminism parts that actually get things done. They're the ones held up as role models. I personally am anti-feminist, though I do want it to return to the intended goals. Only problem is, at this point it may be too late. A Woman's Right Movement would be a much better idea, as the mirror to the MRM where the two groups work together.

[–]NaughtierLink 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I get that Psuedo-Feminism is now the majority in society, but still we need to clarify. For the small amount of women who are true to the path of gender equality and being true Humanists and fighting for both Men's Rights and Women's Rights.

I agree with your idea that we should return to the original path, but I think we need to remove labels. As soon as we stop labeling it as 'Women's Rights,' or 'Men's Rights,' then I believe we can move forward in equality. I personally refuse to call myself part of the MRA or the Feminist movement, I just call myself a Humanist. It's easier for a Psuedo-Feminist to understand rather than generalize me for supporting the MRA.

[+][deleted] 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]NaughtierLink 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can't devolve it to "They call themselves that, so we can generalize."

History Lesson: The Byzantine Empire was actually just the Eastern Roman Empire, but Historians all agreed that changing their name is to clarify because they changed so much from the Western Roman Empire, because they wanted to make it easy for everyone to understand. The last Emperor to speak Latin was Justinian I, and then after him they all just spoke Greek. Their government ideology changed dramatically and even they're religion to being orthodoxy.

Why am I telling you this? Because it's the same thing. We need to clarify that this Psuedo-Feminism is NOT Feminism. Hence the name. It's not just strayed from the path, it's changed into an extremism. Gender Supieriority instead of Equality. (Also you can look at Communism as a good example. We call them by different names because they aren't technically Communism. Like: Leninism, Stalinism, Troskyism, and Maoism.)

Although, I understand your point. I just wanted to explain why I disagree with you. It's still a good opinion.

[–]alwaysthepessimist 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The problem is...that the only feminism with political power and media attention IS third wave feminism...it is THE DEFACTO feminism of our time. Pretending it is a fringe is delusional...it may be fringe in numbers but it in mainstream in clout and effectiveness.

[–]NaughtierLink 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So? Does this argument make them any less Psuedo?

My point is, calling it Third Wave Feminism is an insult and spits on the grave of any woman (or man) that fought for equality in the movement. Also I get tired of seeing generalization. If you say "I'm anti-Feminist." to just a normal woman that doesn't care that much, she will probably get angry because to a normal person, 'Anti-Feminism' = 'Anti-Women.' I understand what you all mean, but if an ideology has strayed this far from the original, we rename if for clarification. We don't call Islamic Extremists, 'Muslims,' because they are twisting the Koran into an evil meaning and not representing the Islamic World in a good light.

[–]thyming 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think this is the best of examples. I doubt that virtually any feminist is in favor of this, unless this is what they mean by "bathing in male tears".

A better example would be feminists who conveniently look away when it comes to the disparity in sentencing or custody.

[+]IAmACisWhiteMaleAMA 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Most people see prison rape as a feature of the system rather than a problem. Even people close to me joke about "dropping the soap". Really bugs me. And when a female rapes a male, it's classified in a different category in the gov't stats, such as "made to penetrate". And all these cases you see where a female teacher rapes a male student, people say the student must be "gay" if he complained and say he should count himself lucky. The news articles about them are more likely to call it a "relationship" than a rape or even sexual assault.

Even myself, when my ex wanted to have sex, we were having it no matter how much I said no. Especially if she was drunk. Despite having about 75 pounds on me, she was a horrible drunk. She'd just get on top and ride, and it would hurt, and I'd just think about leaving her in the night, but then I didn't want to lose her kids that I loved as my own. I'd only "go along" with it enough to prevent her from bending my dick too far the wrong way.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if males are raped just as often as females, maybe even more.

[–]UnityNow 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's important to realize also that many of the statistics we see are based on arrests and/or convictions and/or prison populations. Men are arrested and convicted far more often for the same crimes than women are. Also, men are given far longer sentences for the same crimes as women are. So any stats based on arrests/convictions/prison populations will always be extremely skewed by an already discriminatory system.

Also, most of the stats we see include false rape claims as if they're legitimate, with no accounting for even the possibility that some rape claims are false, even though top police and military police officials have stated that they've found that up to 60% of all rape claims made by women are false, with a full 27% of those claims found to be false because the women eventually admitted it.

Here are some great stats, including some false rape statistics.

Here's a great article about how skewed rape statistics are.

[–]Threwaway42 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While the sentiments of these people are appalling, is it really that hard to find people saying ignorant shit on twitter on any topic? This is hardly advancing the issues that men predominately face, or really pointing out the hypocrisy of mainstream feminism.

[–]KaonPlus 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not that i'm a fan of every part of it, but this definitely isn't feminism. No major feminist or feminist organisation has the position that female on male rape is hilarious. It might suggest that men are to blame for all rape, and that men are to blame for...all of societies problems, but definitely not that rape can be funny.

[–]Elvick 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope, just that it's not possible or that it's just "made to penetrate" which isn't that big of a deal because men always want sex anyway!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I disagree a bit. This is extremist feminism, or at least symptoms of it. I have the pleasure of knowing a handful of self proclaimed feminists IRL. Across the board they are reasonable people who would be just as horrified over this as everyone here is. They also acknowledge the disparity in the treatment we men get in the court system, especially family court, in comparison to the treatment women receive. In my experience, the majority of feminists are reasonable people who want to be treated fairly and want the same for men.
