Put one foot in front of the other. Go do something. Sitting at home ruminating never helped me. Go to the gym. Go run some errands. Get something done. Hell, go to an AA meeting. Even if you're not an alcoholic, you'll never meet a more honest and real group of people. Whatever you do, don't drown your sorrow in booze.

I picked up my guitar and started to play again. Learned a couple of songs & just played until my emotions were dry. Did it again the next day, and the next, and the next… until I started to cry less & less. Going on 5 months since separation(divorce papers started) & I haven’t cried in 3wks. You’ll get there homie, it will just take time. You got this.

Yeah pick up the phone and call someone really anyone to share what your going thru. If you can get outside even for 20 minutes with your kid just do it. I try to remind myself it comes in waves. Likely at some point in the next two days you have a moment of happiness so make sure to take note.

Do something for yourself. Go out to eat. Golfing/bowling. Invite friends over or go meet them. Take a solo trip.

I feel your pain, man. I'm 4 months into a divorce that I didn't want either. I'm hurting today. She is also in a relationship with some other asshole. And it pisses me off. It hurts. It sucks badly. You just want things to be normal. I at least have my two kids full-time, but that doesn't help the suffering. She should be here with her kids, and we should be a family, but the reality is she didn't want that with me anymore. She's thinks there is something better. I feel your frustration. I cry. The pain is indescribable. I don't know how we will get past this and one day think back and wonder what we were thinking. But that's all we can hope for. Relief.

Reconnect with old buddies maybe they have a hobby that u can pick up, I’ve started going fishing and golfing with some of my friends. Also when you start missing your ex just start thinking of all the bad crap she done to you

Heal a broken heart in 30 days. It’s a book…try it out Go to gym and work out. Personally I do yoga and meditate but to each their own Start dating again. Try Facebook dating. Hang w your guy buddies

Not the best advise but I went to the pub and read this sub. It calms me down and I came back stronger. No anger no escalation no argument. Just went asleep knowing I am not the only one.

Surround yourself with the people you love and trust. Feeling alone is not a good thing. Being alone can be worse. Breath, that is all I can do, and so far I am still here. There are people out here who care. You are not alone. I am learning that right now and it is a comforting thought.

I get it. Today would have been a big day... I had to let go of the "big days" on the calander. It kept my foot in the past. I have been trying to make new big days that are mine.

I am not going to blow smoke up you're a**. It gets better though, every day. I have good and bad days. Every month the delta shifts. My good days were become more frequent. I am having a setback, but I am trying. You will feel better. I know you can't see it from where you are, but it is there. There is a light at the end.

Talk to a psychiatrist and get some good pills to help you deal with this.
