I did floral for 2 years. I hear you. It was never a fun day and you would see the nastiness of men. I did this job right out of highs school and I studied under a florist who is extremely talented/skilled. The amount of disrespect these women endure just to make sure other women get their flowers is insane. I had a homecoming dad make me cry once because he was so incredibly cruel to me because his son forgot to order a corsage and we were booked up.

I feel similar pain. I work in a kitchen and the number of LVMs trying to score a last-minute Valentine's Day reservation tonight when we've been fully booked for weeks makes me want to laugh-cry.

Just to add one: my boss let us leave early at 4, I didn’t end up packing up until like 4:20 and while I’m walking to my car I see a flower delivery person frantically unloading a bouquet and there were more in the car. If I got my flowers 10 minutes before I leave for the day I would be pissed 😒

I got a gorgeous potted orchid delivered to my work today, from my sweet dad. Who I'm sure had his order in and dealt with well in advance, because he's a pro like that 😂
