My ex did this shit to me once! He was waiting in line with some clothes to buy for himself and there was long line in the store so I went up to him after I found myself a shirt I wanted to buy also and I told him I'll venmo, and he refused to take it and pay and told me to wait in line.

I was furious and we literally had a fight right there to convince him to pay for my shirt, which in the end he did, probably cause he was ashamed I was shouting.

Need less to say, I am so glad he is my ex.

I will never understand, it’s $10!!!! In my pickme days, I had an ex take me to this little cafe that was cash-only, but I only had my card. I literally only ordered a $4 muffin, and asked him if he could spot me the $4 cash and I’ll pay him back. This dude threw a huge fit and started yelling at me over $4 and tried to make me go to an ATM to get cash! Never again!

LOL j/k this probably wasn't actually me, but I have definitely done this. I was behind a teenage couple in line at Starbucks one morning a couple of years ago, and the boy was making fun of the girl for something. She was clearly upset and wouldn't respond to him, and he said "stop being such a bitch, I'm joking." I loudly said "WOW THAT'S REALLY SHITTY, YOU SHOULD DUMP HIM." They both looked like deer in headlights and ignored me, but I like to think she took my advice at some point.

This reminds me when I went on vacation w my bf at the time (ex now). We split everything 50/50, I was fine with it at the time it didn’t even occur to me that he might pay for anything.

Except one time we met a lady who took our picture for us, and assumed he was paying for the trip. She said something like “wow this is such an incredible trip to take your girlfriend on.” Uh NO I took MYSELF on that trip. It blew my mind that anyone would think that he was paying. Then years later after our breakup he casually mentioned the trip that in his memory he paid for. NO YOU DIDNT PAY A SINGLE PENNY NOT A MEAL NOT A TAXI NOT A DAMN THING WE DIDNT SPLIT 50/50 YOU CAN’T REWRITE THIS IN YOUR MEMORY.

No joke, went to dinner with a guy I was dating at the time. When the waitress gave us the check, he INSISTED that I Venmo him the exact split amount right then and there before she take the check. I said we can just put down both cards, to which he replied “no I want to get the points”. THE POINTS!!! This was also after our conversation five minutes before where he talked about his $90K salary and his Black AmEx card.

Now that I think of it my one ex tried to do this to me. He said that if I use the other register then we’ll be out faster. Why not use the same check out so someone else can get in and get out? I still made him pay for some of the stuff we were going to share tho

this is so trash. my ex took me to a garden one time and i was wearing a dress and didn’t notice how badly i was being bitten so we went to cvs to pick up anti itch cream. he paid for all our dates but i felt uncomfortable asking for anything so i tried to get in line to pay for the cream, and he literally called out “what are you doing?!!” from across the store when he saw me lol

Ya this is ridiculous. Been lucky to have both exes that pay for everything. I offer money and they refuse. But they’re still exes for a reason. They have set the standard for me about men paying though. 🤷🏽‍♀️

My ex ordered food and I had some chicken wings that were €3, 80 and I expected that my ex would pay since I was at his house and he worked while I still went to school but he asked me if I had the right amount. but I didn't have the exact amount so I gave him €4 and I got 20 cents back. So cheap🙈
