Gino reminds me of my most recent ex. He owned 3 houses and I owned 1 but he wanted me to sell mine instead of renting it out. He also wanted me to get rid of my brand new vehicle because he didn’t like the color. Guys like this want a woman to depend on them for everything financial so they can control her. He was intimidated by the fact that I made more money than him and tried to get me to get rid of everything I worked hard to obtain.

I’ve learned that mentioning my accomplishments during the early dating phase weeds out the guys who are not on my level. Many guys have mentioned that “too independent” BS. I see that as my cue to exit. When did providing myself with shelter, an education, and basic human necessities make someone too independent???
