I don't even want to think about how many times I was told to lower my standards. I never did. Now I have a wonderful HV husband, who makes me genuinely happy, while most of the women I know who lowered their standards are either single again or just not happy in their LTR. Rather end up alone with cats than with a loser that won't make you 100% content!

Never lower your standards. If you do you'll be hung up on some Plebe when someone actually worthy comes along. You're gonna be fine. 24 is a wonderful age to be single and focus on yourself and your goals. You can travel by yourself or with girlfriends if you want to without some LVM ruining the trip.

You're killing it and you're honestly in the best place to be at 24. Young, beautiful, driven and unattached.

My own mom was picking on me for having standards and saying I'm leaving at the smallest sign of abuse in a relationship. Apparently that makes me selfish. She would rather see me suffer like her instead of having me level up. Oh well, I'd rather be selfish and alive, with a guy that respects me and that I'm very attracted to, instead of settling for some loser. We got this girl!
