She did.

Joyce Diane Brothers was an American psychologist, personality, and columnist. She first became famous in 1955 for winning the top prize on the American game. "The $64,000 Question, the only woman to do so. Her fame from the game allowed her to go on to host various advice columns and which established her as a pioneer in the field of "pop psychology".

I think many men perennially underestimate women's capabilities - in the workplace, at home, in academia, and basically in all facets of life - and that it sometimes becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Too often I've let men's perceptions of me as a woman change how much effort I put into parts of my life, even though I know I'm capable of so much more in different areas.

I want to level up for myself and for other women, in spite of most men and many women who are puppets of the patriarchy.

Yeah, they wanted the all American white guy to win so gave her questions only peripherally related to her subject. They underestimated her obsessive interest ( in boxing I think?).

Awesome to see this! I love stories about women defying the odds, but especially when men purposefully try to stack the odds against them.

Firstly, it shows the resiliency and amazing abilities of women. And secondly, it shows that men are sore losers and cheaters and the only reason women haven't excelled throughout history the same way as men is because men have been purposely keeping us down, because they know we can kick their asses at almost everything.

If you watch the youtube video of this episode, her questions be like “For $4, if you went so far as to not do it and then you did it what have you not done?” Literally my mind is blown watching how quickly she answers

This reminds me of an account I read of how some men reacted to women wanting to run for office back in the early 1900s I believe? I've got to look it up to find the specifics but they put a woman's name in the ballot on purpose or let her run on purpose hoping to shame her and hoping that she would lose. She ended up winning! Boy were they pissed! 😂 😂 😂
