I'm not gonna pay a man to look after his own offspring lol

And he won’t even do it, that’s the worst part lol

Could've taken care of yourself with that money. Bought a house and hired caretakers.

With 650,000 USD she can afford the best nanny AND postpartum care for herself 😂😅 I really don't understand the logic

This is the result of constant conditioning that women should be grateful that a man chose them.
[–]elainejay82FDS Apprentice 148 points149 points150 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I hate to even say this because I'm sure she's an okay girl.
But wait till she finds out this expense doesn't guarantee anything at all from him and the man uses it to pick up other women or be out of the house more to hot rod around with his bros or both. Sorry.
Something has to be majorly wrong for her to do this. She's already noticing he's one foot out of the relationship and it's more than likely a pathetic pull at getting him to stay and be invested.
...and we all know how that ends up.

Girl… noooooooo 😭
I think the woman should receive the grand gesture more considering she’s the one who has to go 9 months pregnant, give child birth, cope with postpartum depression, and will almost most definitely be more involved in the baby’s life overall.
I’m all for appreciating HVM and HV fathers, but I sincerely pray he’s pampering HER the way she deserves. Being present as a dad is the bare minimum.

It's women like her that the patriarchy encourages. Because it benefits the patriarchy.

THIS. A woman is at her most vulnerable when pregnant. Pregnancy and the months following childbirth are when she needs the most safety, security, and support from her partner — both emotional and material.
This whole thing also reminds me of how much society constantly applauds men for doing the bare minimum as a husband and father, when we forget what a deeply strenuous and excruciating experience childbirth is for women. Even with all our medical advancements, it's an extremely physically painful process. Any male partner worth his salt would know this and never dare to accept such a ridiculous gesture. He would ensure that a woman is focusing on herself and their future child, as well as expend his resources for their well-being as a family.

Sooo... when women are stay-at home parents, they do everything and get nothing for it.
When men are stay-at-home parents, they play video games all day and... get Lamborghinis for it? And you know that a bunch of golddigging LVM are going to bring up this story to their gfs.
Anyway, she'd have invested that money so much better if she'd hired a woman instead
[–]WingAdventurous4011 67 points68 points69 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She could have hired a midwife, child minder and housekeeper instead. At least they know how to work.
[–]whiskey_and_oreosFDS Apprentice 122 points123 points124 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She could've hired a full time nanny and started a healthy college fund for that money!!

Haven't read the article (and not planning to) but how does this help her and her child?
It's not even a family car.
Why buy him a fast car, where baby and child seats will be cramped?
Is he going to be sticking packages of diapers, groceries, the baby, baby's stroller, and what not in this sports car?
[–]namharsFDS Newbie 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
As a coupe owner. Jack diddly fits in there. But I love my car and it’s meant for … not having those types of things fit in there.
[–]Keepers12345FDS Newbie 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
100%
There's a time and place for coupes. I'm wondering if she'll end up with a more "family friendly" car, having to do the hard work and baby transporting in her vehicle, while he'll be keeping his pristine clean and out of the picture soon enough
(this sounds so pessimistic if I had no idea what women's reality is)

Golddigger alert!
It's his moral duty and responsibility to take care of his family. It's a blessing to have a family, which he should infinitely appreciate and be ready to give his life for, if needed!

She wears a hijab and as a consevative religious Muslim, she should know that under the Shariah, it’s her husband’s duty to suppirt her not the other way around!,

Reminds me of an Onion tweet I saw once: “I do this thing where I give myself a prize for finishing a task before I even start it. I call it a “pre-ward,” and it never works.”
[–]namharsFDS Newbie 43 points44 points45 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Srs, but I actually do this and it definitely never works
[–]SmolfrendFDS Newbie 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
No offense, but as someone who was raised Muslim, this doesn't surprise me. Which is incredibly sad and speaks volumes about ideologies and cultures that take internalized patriarchy to another level. All I can say is, I hope she knows for sure this guy is HV. It's excessive nonetheless.
[–]electroloopRuthless Strategist[S] 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yep same, sis. Although I don’t want to debate about religion, it is in fact a religion that strives for advancing the patriarchy and making men seem like the “prize”. Encourages men to have a harem too, but women can’t have more than one partner.
NO THANKS.
[–]SmolfrendFDS Newbie 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It really is. I highly doubt she even read the holy book in her language to REALLY understand it. It very much reads like an incels ideal world. The priests who are recognized are all men of course and they severely discourage women from having critical thought. Because of those misogynistic holy men, these lvms feel justified in horrific domistic abuse and entitled to women. I will bet anything this asshole here thinks he absolutely deserves the Lamborghini and still has the audacity to think parenting is for his wife and babysitting is for him.

$650,000? Could employ a nanny that’ll stay working for you till your kid has kids. Quite literally, after calculating for it, that’d be the average nanny salary x 25 years. TWENTY. FIVE. YEARS.

At first I read this as he was gifting his wife a car for birthing and taking care of their child, and thought, that’s a bit odd but okay. She gifted this though?? Uh…
[–]lusigusiFDS Newbie 40 points41 points42 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Genuinely thought he bought it for her at first and was confused as to why this was posted here, then re-read and proceeded to almost break my neck from the amount of head-shaking that ensued
[–]Equal-Ear2312FDS Apprentice 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]millennialpink2000FDS Disciple 50 points51 points52 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is so pathetic. Giving him a car that doesn't even fit the kid in anticipation of things he hasn't even done yet????? NOPE. Unless he's pushing the kid out, he can kick rocks and catch the bus

She spent $650k to troll her husband? I don’t think so. She thinks this is what she owes him in order for him to take care of her and their baby. She made a tik tok about it too. She’s only 19 so maybe one day she will realize.
[–]sourcircusFDS Newbie 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not sure what you are reading but she is trolling herself… most mothers undertake the brunt of caretaking while the dad skedaddles.
It confuses me that you think he can’t use the car because it doesn’t track especially if you are attempting to force a man to do something that he doesn’t care about…
