The day I got my apartment back after kicking out my LVM ex was the absolute best.After I deep cleaned his stench out, I ordered all the food I couldn't have because he didn't like it, watched the movies I wanted...and my goddess I can not ever describe that high because it was other worldly.

This reminds me of that scene in Desperate housewives where Bree was knackered after a whole day of work for her catering company but Orson was waiting for her in the dining room, staring at her saying “You promised to make me xyz for dinner today”; she said “Darling, this takes 4 hours, I’m tired and it’s crazy late, I’ll make it for you tomorrow” so he stared at her in a pouty way and repeated “You promised”.

And she went into the kitchen and started cooking while crying. He was sipping his wine and enjoying this. It’s this wish to break your partner, to invalidate her tiredness and only be satisfied at the thought she spent a few hours on the meal you eat.

Nothing she'll ever cook, no amount of effort she puts in will ever be enough for this scrote. My NVX husband was just like this. I am a chef, for crying out loud, and he'd gaslight me about my "shitty" cooking, then blamed me for the money he "had" to spend on takeout. He blamed me for his weight problem, blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol, and pre-diabetes, despite eating crap long before he met me. Lesson learned, loser dumped.

My boyfriend has genuine and severe dietary restrictions and he doesn't act like this. We have wildly different dietary preferences and needs yet it's extremely easy to cook for both of us because we are not picky babies. We cooperate and take turns and it's much easier for both of us.

I learned last year that picky eater doesn't mean what I thought it meant. I have high standards for food but it only affects me, but apparently picky eater means eating chicken nuggets and French fries 😭🤮

He has two feet and a heartbeat, if he doesn't like what she's making he can fend for himself. That'd be the stance I'd take and stick to it.

I'm a picky eater myself (neurodivergent ftw) I mostly have issues surrounding textures (baked potato is fine, mashed is absolutely NOT). However I have put a LOT of effort into forcing myself to try new things at least 6 times until I give up. It sucks as often I have to suppress gag reflexes and choke things down, but I have gotten through on some foods and can eat a lot of new things now that would have been impossible 10-15 years ago.

This guy can pull his big boy britches up and start adulting.
