I don’t give a fuck if pedophiles can’t access therapy. I really don’t. There’s not even enough therapists to treat the victims of pedophilia, let alone the perpetrators.

Besides, isn’t their whole argument that pedophilia doesn’t respond to therapy? Isn’t that the basis for their claim that it’s a sexual orientation? And I don’t give a fuck about that talking point either, because you know what else doesn’t respond to therapy? Narcissism, sadism, psychopaths, sociopaths…and we shouldn’t waste our time trying to fix those people, either.

If someone has a strong desire to rape children, their humanity is nonexistent. Don’t waste a therapist’s time trying to fix something that doesn’t exist.

The ONLY way someone can be a "virtuous ped*phile" is by voluntarily and permanently:

Relinquishing the right to unsupervised internet time, FOREVER. This means no smart phones, computers, i-pads, etc., except when either being watched by a determined (not lazy or easily manipulated) supervisor OR if there is no internet available.
Giving up any contact with children and making sure the people around that enforce such a barrier. Should go without saying, but NO having their own children.
Deciding to fill their time with productive activities. "Idle hands are the devil's workshop" is quite true and especially so of pedos, who tend to be very very sneaky.

Since I have not seen ANY "MAP rights advocates" advocate even a fraction of these measures, I assume they are 100% just trying to groom society to accept them.

ETA2: i can't believe I'm looking this much into this, but according to this "professor" these MAPs or minor attracted persons are people who have not committed a crime against the minors and they have a certain set of "safety measures" that are supposedly preventing them from offending, such as having another person present when with a minor. That means they not only have an attraction but have a compulsion to act on it (which we all inherently know about pedophilia, hence well deserving stigma) that is hard to control without "safety measures". I have an attraction towards men but I absolutely don't need to have another person present to prevent me from making a sexual offence towards a man I encounter. This is too much, I need to log off the internet for day.

In the middle of our university there is a daycare for parents , and there are children FREQUENTLY playing on the playground there. It’s disgusting i spent 4 years here , and 4 years prior to that working hard in order to pay for my college, for this persons salary, and for our presidents shit response to it. I really wish academia and the larger LGBT community would stop with the inclusivity train because this is what happens, you get freaks trying to ride your coattails because they find a community that will accept them. Pedophilia should be stigmatized. Pedophiles should feel ashamed to be pedophiles.

The whole point of shame is that it keeps people from talking about or acting on things that would get them rejected from society. Pedophiles don't finally give into their urges because they were "too ashamed to seek treatment". Pedophiles give into their urges because they fundamentally believe that it's okay for them to do so based on their feelings and urges.

Suggesting that pedophiles will offend due to shame preventing treatment is no different than saying that physically abusive men will offend due to "shame" preventing treatment - and we know for a fact that is not the case (Why Does He Do That by Bancroft anyone?)

You cannot fix someone that believes that their feelings of sexual gratification are more important than the safety of a child.

This is why women who have been abused and traumatised from a young age often accept and even "desire" their own mistreatment and abuse during sex.

A human being who desires to sexually dominate and harm the most vulnerable and weak among society, namely children, does so because he is on a fundamental level a malicious coward, who gains sexual pleasure from the notion of defiling a little person that can't resist or understand what's happening.

Pedophiles are inherently evil. Their psyche is evil, and this evil manifests itself through their sexuality.

While I do agree that "minor-attracted persons" is a way to sugarcoat paedophilia, I don't think that people who study paedophiles and acknowledge that not all have committed crimes (probably not yet) are necessarily excusing them.

Whenever I've read on the subject a lot of the times these people have been paedophiles since basically puberty. At some point during development something must have gone wrong in their brain the same way that psychopathy is arguably something a person can be born with (since they can start exhibiting signs when they're as young as 4 years old even if they live in a non-abusive home). Some men become so porn sick that they start getting paedophilia tendencies, I'm not talking about those. Either way both should be heavily monitored.

Researchers need to study paedophiles to see if there is any way to reduce incidence in the population, find some pattern in why some men are paedophiles and others aren't, even if it's genetic idk. Therapy can't help them but maybe there is a way to prevent it.

Studies should be looking more at the victims than the criminals but that's another story...
