This was on another site but I remember there was some annoying misogynistic scrote and I absolutely ROASTED the hell out of him and afterwards he said he "liked that I was feisty" and asked me if I would be interested in going to dinner with him (i didn't have a photo posted and this was not a dating site). It's because men know that a lot of them are garbage and when a woman is intelligent enough to see it they have respect for her and view her as long term relationship potential

I don’t like the “look at us being bitter but taken” angle on that other tweet, but it tracks for the most part. In my experience, shit talking men on social media only attracts men who see me as a challenge and set out to knock me down a peg.

If I were a man being with a pickme would be my worst nightmare. I couldn't respect her because she doesn't respect herself. It would irritate me af to be with someone who I don't know because she stops to exist in the relationship. It would be really stressful to have a yes-sayer as my partner because I would always have to guess what she really wants and needs from me. I would feel insulted to have a women choose me that would choose any other guy to validate herself. Based on that I wouldn't also be able to trust her because she I'd assume she doesn't take the relationship seriously. If I'd stayed with her nevertheless it would cost me my mental health to deal with all the resulting jealousy. That is if I were a HVM myself. Maybe a LVM or a narc would take a pickme.

Nah, when I had social media and I talked shit men would always criticize my eyebrows. My forehead. My face in general. Sometimes they would take screenshots of my profile picture and post it places so that others could pick it apart. It got so bad that I deleted my accounts just to have some peace. I do not miss being critiqued like a heifer on an auction block.

Okay but hating on pickmes on SM does not really strike me as HVM behavior. I have a male friend who is mostly cool but would never date him because he talks so much shit about what women do. Even when it's along the same lines of what I'm thinking, it still hits wrong that he spends his time criticizing women (a lot of whom are acting from past trauma, cultural misogyny, etc.), because in my head I'm thinking 'if I were dating you you'd probably be a judgmental dick no matter what I did.' Judgmental statements about women are not a good look for men, period (in my opinion).
