First he used the word “hot/hottie”. Now I’m sure others can say they have had different experiences, but I have never had anything long lasting with any man that used that word before sex. I’ve had my better long term relationships use it, but only after a long time passed and we had something established.

All the guys that throw that hot and hottie word around freely before you ever have sex with them, turn out to be a dead end. They were basically sex diggers to some degree.

Correct thing to say would have been “I don’t want to think of our relationship in that way at all.” Or “ I never thought of our relationship to have that type of vibe”. Or something. He said it like “oh I never got the CHANCE to hook up with you.”

I am simply amazed at “I am fantastic!”. How many women can say that in casual conversation with men? That is because we’ve wasted our time with so many toxic men like this!
I stopped at my favorite little city wine/sandwich/convenience shop in my city tonight. Honestly your response to him was weird and unnecessary in itself. It’s like you read too much into what he said and then projected and over explained yourself on your ‘boundaries’. He didn’t say anything about hooking up with you, so that’s why his response was weird after yours. You jumped the gun.

I don’t think he was the one in wrong here.. You assumed he only wanted to sleep with you when his actions hadn’t indicated that yet.
