renaming men’s rights

I posted this on r/mensrights initially. I know this is LWMA but reality is men’s rights/MRAs is the biggest label there is right now for ‘pro male people’, so we need to talk about it…

I think we have to stop using ‘men’s rights’ and call it ‘men’s liberation’ or ‘men’s advocacy’ because the term of men’s rights has been dragged through the gutter to mean incel misogynists.

To be fair, men’s rights is inflammatory because men do very largely have same rights as women legally. Its not about ‘rights’ to me but rather ‘liberation’ from gender bias/expectations.

Also feminists often don’t say women’s rights they tend to use women’s lib and look how successful they were.
