That was /r/AmITheAsshole, right? That subreddit is insanely gynocentric, they white knight for women absolutely all the time.

There was a post where a guy had a girlfriend who wanted to move in with him. They called him an asshole because he wanted her to pitch in with the rent. The comments were all similar to "you're such an asshole, if you loved her you would let her live with you for free!".

Then the exact same post was posted later on, except with the genders reversed. Suddenly the guy was still the asshole, and the comments were all like "You're a leech, you shouldn't be able to live for free!". There were at least a few sane comments pointing out the discrepancy, but they were buried at the bottom of the thread.

There was another post on there where a guy got called an asshole because he wouldn't pay for the first date. That entire subreddit consists solely of bitter femcels, I'm telling you.

EDIT: She posts in GenderCritical, so my guess on "femcel" was correct. What a trashy cunt.

So a thread about an ex-boyfriend keeping photos of his ex (I didn't see it as it's been deleted) leads to all men feeling entitled to women (quite a stretch) then when a guy calls them out for sexism they bring up school shootings as being a male thing. In the immortal words of Ron Burgundy - "that escalated quickly."

I don't want to generalize myself but a common tactic in arguments with a number of women I find is over-exaggerrating and overreaching often to ridiculous illogical extremes.

I support full equality, for men and women, and I am in absolute support of most feminist goals. Where I, and many people in the men's rights movement, differ from feminists is in who we see as opponents.

I'm in the UK and a lot of our old feminist spaces are overrun with "TERFs". This brand of radical feminism is extremely popular in the UK. I personaly consider myself a libfem and I was absolutely chastised for my non exclusionary beliefs by my "TERF" friends. It was a very horrifying experience for me as they made sure I feel humiliated for my beliefs. I'm not sure if I align myself with the current wave of feminism here as a lot of the discourses are extremely radical to the point of bigotry. There are also self identified feminists like me who are horrified at this phenomenon.
