The point I want to make with this image is how disgusting the 'men are trash' images really are. And how true it is. Men are treated like trash every day. This image is of the first responders to 9/11. At least one of the men in the photo is now dead as a direct result from his actions that day.
Take the steam out of their sails. Fight back. Men Are Trash is our phrase.
Men have the most dangerous jobs and take them willingly. We die in droves to make the world a better place. When was the last time a feminist thought about where that delicious Alaskan Crab she ate came from? Who does she thinks protects her from crime? Part of the reason I ended up in the MRM is feminists shitting on men who collect the rubbish, drive ambulances, put out fires etc.
I work with and make maps for a living, but I spend a lot of my time doing so for the guys who get up at 2am on a winters morning to grit the roads so Feminists can go do their expensivecofeeebux and bitch about male privilege as well as the police and firefighters etc

This reminds me of the time back when I was working for my uni for the moving, trash, and recycling department. I was in on the weekend for an extra shift, and got stuck in some liquid mud that was made by melting snow, but still covered by snow. I was trying to back out of a one way street that ended in a pedestrian bridge that couldn't hold vehicles, and got fucked. I was there, knee deep in mud and freezing, for TWO HOURS trying to get myself unfucked. That whole time, only women walked by, aside from one fat guy with a girl. He offered to help push while I drove, but I didn't want him to get muddy so I had him steer while I pushed. After even that didn't work, he offered to push and has his gf push, but I said he'd already helped enough and that maybe I'd just leave the truck and walk back to the shop and let my boss deal with it.
After the fat bro left, this skinny twink dude who was the most flaming homo on the planet came up with a gaggle of girls. The girls were about to walk by and barely spare me a glance, but he came right up to me and asked if I needed him to push. I said thanks, but another guy tried that and it didn't work. Then he had the good idea to dig out some gravel from a nearby garden to help me get some traction, and this skinny little twink dude ruined his fancy outfit to help me dig out some wet, dirty gravel and slop into some mud to help set up the truck. Then he helped me get that truck out. Afterwards I was really grateful and asked if I could buy him lunch or something, but he just said it was no biggie and to get home and warm up.
The women didn't say a single fucking word, and all but one sneered at me for being dirty and working. It was utterly shocking how different this man treated me, and he showed it wasn't a function of sexuality. A dude can be a woman in all but cock and flaming as the sun, and at the end of the day he is still better than virtually any woman I've met. Shit was fucking shocking. Probably the beginning of me going my own way.

Yeah I really don't know what causes this, they are raised in the same society, and I see lots to indicate they are taught better than this. So I don't get it.
I date both men and women, but eventually I just stopped dealing with women. If one expresses interest I'll give her a chance but in terms of contacting I contact men.
Men create a lot less BS in relationships because they are not as likely to play games and seem more... rational.
Generalizations of course. But it's what works for me.

Im forty, and when I was your age, it got me somewhere;

Thats when I learned three things.
1) that if your romantic interest insults a woman deeply enough, she will gladly hurt you to make you go away.
2) the woman will face no repercussions whatsoever - even if witnesses confirm you did nothing creepy.

Get one with truck drivers for those of us over the road. 99% of us are men, we are often literally knee deep in mud and shit, we bleed on the job and just keep rolling. We have some of the highest mortality rates because almost snythung that goes wrong in our field is potentially fatal. We run this nation, and keep this society rolling. Every single piece of food and product you see in stores was on a truck at some point. Without us, hospitaks woukd shut down within a day. Without us, thousands or even millions of people would die. We deserve some recognition and respect.
I am proud to be a driver, I am proud to be "working class" and "blue collar" and "white trash" because when i go to sleep at night, thousands of miles frpm home, i go to sleep knowing that i provided someone the chance to continue sleeping in their king size bed with a warm chicken fried steak in their belly. Can any feminist say the same?

Soldiers and Vets protect oir way of life, and doing so often costs them more than anyone wants to give up. I would never compare what we do to the sacrifice they make. At the same time, our role is different. Our military protects our way of life, but us truckers and sailors and train engineers ensure that everyone has a society to live in. Without us, there would be no society to protect, and without our military, it would be one not worth upholding.

It's "willing" in that the men choose them, but extortion in the fact that men are given two options: work your ass off in possible unsafe conditions, or starve in the streets.
Pretty obvious why men would "choose" to work the shittiest jobs with those kinds of choices. The illusion of free will. Ask an oil rig worker, or trucker, or turd herder what they ACTUALlY want to do with their lives. Then, ask them that if they could make the same money they are now while doing what they actually want to, would they stay at this job? Pretty sure not a single one would agree, unless that job was truly their passion. I doubt that all of them were working their passion jobs though.

It wouldn't completely recover within weeks. It would cause a massive global depression lasting years if not decades and many industries (teaching, nursing) would pretty much collapse and not recover for a generation or longer.

All vital services (electricity, healthcare, sewerage/clean water, waste removal, all telecommunications, law enforcement, military) would cease to function, there would be a world wide famine and millions if not billions would die.

I know I'm 3 months late to the party but if teaching stops for a day, a few kids don't learn some stuff. If nursing stops, many people will die. The strain on the healthcare system will be unbearable. Sure, a male doctor can fix a patient, but what then? Who's going to look after them, clean them, give them their medication, feed them, make sure they don't die in the ward if they suddenly stop breathing? Nursing stopping has a more significant effect than teaching stopping, due to the simple fact that one will directly lead to a large number of deaths.

I know you didn't mean it this way but even so - no women is not necessarily a bad thing. My city is planning to try to even out the gender disparity in our firefighters by reserving 20% of the positions in each training cohort for women.
This means that, instead of having the best and most suited for the task (regardless of gender) coming to pull me out of a burning building, I'll have a one in five chance of having someone who was only the best out of the women who applied for the position. Someone who was basically put in service specifically for political reasons.

Not just the US, I live in Australia. Over here they're already fudging the application process to get more women onto the selection list for training positions.
It was originally set so that your overall ranking after taking the application exams and physical tests determined your position in the queue for training. It's currently being skewed to get more women over that first hurdle. If they go through with locking in a number of female positions in the training cohorts then it seems to me like it's going to be just a matter of time before they start requiring stations to hire a certain proportion of women.

There are parents, friends, and family of 38 dead people who died in a warehouse fire in Oakland, California where the fire chief and fire Marshall are women, women who gained their jobs through affirmative action. The warehouse- and thousands of other buildings- are completely destroyed unsafe because the Marshall and chief did not do their jobs.

I admit I don't have a written source. My husband has 37 years in fire service in California, 14 years of that at what was CDF's (now CalFire) Headquarters in Sacramento. He held a high position. He was an Engineer when CDF started hiring women, and says the standards at that time were relaxed so more women qualified, a horrifying situation. What he knows about SF and Oakland's standards will chill you.
Husband said to tell you this as an example: the Oakland Fire Marshall said she did not inspect that particular building because she could not gain access. He pointed out that she is the Fire Marshall and has the legal right to gain access, and that she has personnel including firefighters who have tools such as bolt cutters and axes. She simply didn't do her job. Because the whole purpose of the tests is to determine who's the best person for the task. If they're keeping someone out it's because they don't meet the physical or mental requirements, or because there's a more suitable candidate. I want the best person for the job coming to save my or my family's life, not the best [insert underrepresented politically spotlighted demograph here]. If someone's life is on the line there's no room for all that crap.

If you didn't get the job it would absolutely be because you weren't qualified but would have nothing to do with 'men like me'. The tests are entirely empirical and impartial, there's no room for gender bias. Every test is marked against the same rubric and applicants ranked against all other candidates. The ones who get trained are the first on the list down to however many spots they have available in that training cohort.
Your evidence that you would do the job well is anecdotal. The point of the tests is to determine the best candidates based on factual results.

This is really powerful with how disposable men's lives are viewed. I am not a man, but I am a proud men's rights activist. I grew up with five brothers, and I had to sit back and watch the injustices my brothers suffered through because of their gender. Being beat mercilessly because "they are a man", tasked with traumatizing work like burying our family dog by themselves, being given more work because they are strong young men, being expected to support my mother, etc. So many men suffer from dangerous work conditions, homelessness, suicidal ideation and suicide, unreported/ignored domestic violence, unfair custody battles, and the list goes on. I loathe modern feminists. It is asinine that they say that they fight for equality, when all they are really fighting for is superiority.

This is a response to the meme trending on twitter, #menaretrash. A feminist made a pretty picture with a mountain in the background with the words "men are trash" overlaid on it (the text in my photo is identical to hers). The meme was picked up and started trending. Women are defending the phrase "men are trash" by saying it's a statement against female oppression. My point is that the phrase "men are trash" is not something to be thrown around with impunity. We take it very seriously.

I agree there are those who are simply misinformed. That is not who I was describing when I used the term "beta male".
I used the term "beta male" for lack of a better one to describe men who self-depricate their entire sex in order to differentiate themselves from other men, and gain favour with feminist women. It stands in contrast to an alpha male, who can compete and cooperate with other males for social currency, rather than indict his collective gender for brownie points.

I am a photographer. I cannot claim credit for the photograph but I looked into the copyright situation before posting this to avoid infringing on anyone's rights. I have the utmost respect for the man/woman who was there to take this photograph but I know I am in strong legal territory to use it as a historical photo.
But yes I have some photoshop experience. It's essential for a photographer. I actually used a combination of 3 editing programs to make this. It would have been 2, but I wanted to make sure I used the original font from the "MenAreTrash" photo, so I used the same program they used to make the text and edited it into this photo (because I couldn't use that cheap-ass program to make this look good). After fooling around with the program I realized how little effort she used to make the original photo. It's ridiculous.

I'm a little late to the party, and I'm not sure how I'll be received, but I read all the comments, googled the men are trash phenomenon, and brought some helpful links.
I think it's difficult for menslib to walk the line between MRA stuff and Feminism, which seems to be happening in this thread. It's especially difficult to navigate interpersonal and inter-group relationships when there's a lot of anger and emotions are both sides.
I think it's important and healthy to navigate these issues in two ways; on the macro and 'bigger picture' plane it's helpful to remember systems of oppression and how they operate (sorry, this is the only place I could find hosting this awesome book). Here is a less technical discussion of oppression, as well.
On the micro and inter-personal plane, it's more important to be emotive and empathetic. Both men and women, or MRAs and Feminists, run into the problem where we begin to treat individuals, or interact with them, as though they are emissaries or avatars for the group they belong to. Not only is that purely unhelpful, its also divisive.
Considering the original #menaretrash hashtag was born from a need to raise awareness of the violent and horrific treatment of South African girls and women, I think it should probably be left to the support and rights groups of South Africa to determine what kind of response, if any, is necessary, and that this reaction meme is a bit over-the top. If all men or even all women were heros who work hard at saving lives, the #menaretrash meme/hashtag wouldn't be necessary, and nor would any other awareness-raising campaign.
While it's easy to take things like this personally and feel individually attacked, its unhelpful to crowd the message it's originally aimed at in response. If women respond to memes that raise awareness of the domestic abuse of men by saying "not all women", it's both ignorant and unhelpful--as obviously it's some specific percentage of the gender we are concerned with here.
I completely understand the feeling of being personally attacked or injured, but this is not a hate-message backed by systems of oppression or inequality, it's a rallying cry of outrage at the violent and horrific treatment of women and girls in South Africa. If you're not one of the people committing acts of violence against women, this meme is not aimed at you.

You're presuming there's a correct middle ground between right and wrong. It's a feel-good virtue signalling myth that compromise is always productive. It's no coincidence that this has only become popular in recent years after MRAs have endured decades of mockery from feminists and successfully created a counter movement.
