I've seen many here claim women are hypergamous by nature so naturally they want a older wealthier man to gain that security. In the 1950s it wasn't as competitive because a man alone could provide for his family but today our society is designed for a 2 person income.

Very few man can pay and qualify for a mortgage to procure a house with a decent debt to income ratio .Most people are going to apply together , then you have car note , insurance , kids etc . This is all because of capitalism which the patriarchy allow. If the high value men in high positions wanted to create a more socialist society they would but it doesn't benefit them which in turns hurts men. The middle class is the best indicator of a striving society but in a capitalistic system the middle class will become more narrow over time as business do what they want . It's just the natural flow of capitalism.

With that said it's the high value men that put young men especially in bad economic positions where they can't compete with older men or will never be able to compete at all . I'm seeing so many comments of men in their 40s qnd 30s just saying they've given up . If hypergamy is real then how can you blame women ? Shouldn't we blame a capitalistic system in which high value rich men benefit from while the average young man has to break his back working until his late 20s or early 30s to have enough wealth to attract woman .
