While some women really do seem to not care about possible societal level gender dynamics imbalances, or their consequences, I often get another feeling from another group of women. For this group, sometimes explicitly but usually implicitly, the message seems different.

Their message seems to be that they would eventually be willing to consider the consequences of gender dynamics issues, and possibly how to remediate them. BUT it is premature to do so now. Why? Because it is like the government artificially interceding in the middle of a labor or business negotiation and declaring that one side has made the best offer it can and now the other must compromise to match it.

The lives of women have undergone enormous changes since contraception and emancipation. Men have adapted somewhat, but have men really made all the adaptations they can? In short, is what we see today men's 'best offer' to women in terms of finding an equitable compromise that will maximize the genders' attraction to one another and ability to form lasting relationships and cooperate? Or can men make a lot more improvement in their offer? And I'm not talking about men working harder in life than women--just working as hard and possibly working 'smarter' than they have been, within the confines of male nature.
