I don't think we've seen its peak yet. Most of the people who subscribe to it are rather young and haven't had real influence yet. I say in 5 years, expect it to be far more in the mainstream, and as a result diluted quite a bit. You know the red pill will be a dead man walking when you see a buzzfeed article talking about their rationalizations for fucking red pill men / red pill feminists.

This will also be about the time when conservatism, at least in America, will be the firm establishment for many years, and as a result all of this kind of rhetoric will be old hat.

I can't predict how the manosphere will grow/shrink but I've noticed that the manosphere terms have been infecting other subs as well. I see people talk about SMV, Chads, incels, etc. in other places. I've even used the term 'orbiter' with a female friend who has an orbiter.

IMO old school PUA died because everything is online now. To simplify: Tinder and similar services further amplified the asymmetries in the sexual marketplace.

Clay Shirky calls what we have today "ridiculously easy group formation". Never before in the history of mankind was it this easy to find and join a group of like minded people.

The issue of dead bedrooms and men struggling with relationships won't go away (until the sex robots arrive). It's going to get worse actually as the sexual marketplace gets even more brutal. And those frustrated men will do a web search and find the red pill or whatever it morphs into in the coming years.

The same basic ideas will be around forever. The names and groups will change but ideas are bulletproof. And clearly there's enough interest in them that people will continue spreading them.

PUA is dead, the manosphere has taken its place instead. In a few years that'll probably go out of style too as another group gains more popularity, but it'll all be based off the same essential ideas.

TRP and PUA were both growth-limited because they didn't address the core issue.

The reason why the SMP became so lopsided is because women's lib unleashed female hypergamy. Specifically, women competing with other women - and the men become trophies.

As a result of that, demand for Chad spiked and tons of men not only got left behind, but became so starved for female attention that they became thirsty as fuck and even more starved. Like an undercapitalized business - they simply could not get on the treadmill of growth.

PUA tried to address that by teaching men how to act like Chad. But that didn't work because the behaviors were so obviously superficial - hence the female backlash. Not because PUA was outright creepy/rapey, but because they were fakers and that's just as bad, if not worse (and tantamount to the same thing in women's eyes).

So TRP tried to go deeper and give guys the Chad mindset, but once again this missed the mark as the TRP mindset seemed like overcompensation and it required an unrealistic level of self-improvement to be in a position to start dictating terms to women. TRP tried with mixed success to tell men the hows and whys of modern-day dating, but didn't really give men a workable blueprint for adapting and worse, tacitly encouraged men to wallow in their justifiable bitterness. Telling guys to lift and earn money is practically common sense, and yet that advice was still ineffective for most men.

Then there was MGTOW. Once again this dances around the core issue while failing to actually address it. Withdrawing from women does nothing to address the fact that men are thirsty as fuck and the profound emotional repercussions of that. MGTOW only really appeals to men who believe their thirst is incurable.

My prediction is, whichever corner of the manosphere actually addresses the male thirst issue and teaches men to control and channel their sex drives into improving their own lives is the one that will finally gain true traction and not provoke a kneejerk female backlash.

The sentiments expressed in the manosphere will continue to grow, because the problems that created the manosphere are real, are advancing and will take a long time to combat. The ideas in the manosphere are not a trendy fad or superficial. They are the result of deep problems in society that adversely affect men. As long as these problems exist and affect as many men as they do, the manosphere will continue to expand until these discussions become mainstream parts of our public discourse.

The manosphere is not about commerce or profitability, so comparisons with the PUA industry are not analogous. The manosphere is about improving men’s lives outside of the current, incompatible, gynocentric standards that dominate and restrict men’s lives. Even PUA discourse has not shrunk, even though opportunities to make money may have, due to a greater saturation of the market and familiarity with the subject matter.

Men are 50% of the population and each year a new crop of men suffer as a result of their cultural and legal persecution or neglect, whether they are young boys and men trying to navigate their way through the hazardous educational system or older veterans who are victims of divorce rape.

As long as the problems exist for men and honest discussions that speak about ordinary men’s experiences and issues are not taking place in the mainstream, especially outside of a feminist framework, the manosphere will continue its rapid growth.

The "liberating truths" are there and not going anywhere, so I predict that even if "active participation" in the Manosphere ceases to exist completely, there is no going back to "everyone's already married by their 25th birthday", to "men of honor", to shaming and blaming all men for WW2 but thanking no men for airplanes, to all this glorious thing that can be described as "male disposability culture". Yes, men still will hold the burden of civilization on their shoulders, but they'll punch the nose of every bastard who claims it's not good enough. Essentially, for the last couple centuries, men existed in some state that I can only describe as "collective neurosis", and the cure is here. Optimistically, the Manosphere has the potential to entirely drain Islam of male followers.

The rules have changed and basically no PUA can hide behind a pay wall. They give tons of advice for free online and then try to make some cash with books, lectures, "boot camps" or even merchandise.

Even with books, everything is in a PDF that can be pirated at no cost, so there is not much money to be had there.

With the rise of the internet and fora such as TRP, many guys are willing to exchange information, techniques, advice and such simply as a matter of courtesy.

At 50 and engaged to be married, I get a kick out of sharing with struggling teenagers and 20-somethings. I had to learn all this shit from scratch because I didn't have a quarter-million online bros to chit-chat with.

The "manosphere" will continue to expand as the rules of society continue to make it more and more difficult for men and women to interact in a traditional manner. It will only contract if the internet censorship hammer is able to be dropped.

I think things will start to calm down a bit more in the future. Seems like anger phase hit everyone at the same time in TRP which made it a little weird for a while but now people are kinda accepting it and learning to live within it.

RSD is the only real leader in the PUA space simply because they treat it like an actual business and manage their content well. On top of that, they have pretty impressive sales techniques which they likely picked up while learning pick up. I don’t see any real competition for them especially since they’re beginning to move into the self help and sales realm. They’ve also been smart in staying as PC as they can get away with while at the same time, putting out content that helps. They’re kinda pushing into creepy cult shit too which is quite disturbing but the fact is their principles actually work well.

Imo TRP is past it's prime, the Donald stole its thunder as the bogeyman of Reddit and it has been stagnant, recycling self improvement material and whining/self pitying. The term redpill is now more associated with conspiracy theory, "alt right" or overt racism rather than seduction or misogyny. I think frustrated young men have bought into the idea that racial identity politics will solve their problem as opposed to seduction, lifting, gender identity politics or whatever.

Further, and possibly most importantly: TRP and MRA became popular as a reaction to tumblr feminism, which I believe is also way past it's prime. BLM and Muslim immigrants are the hot victims right now, women and especially white women are on the back burner till further notice. When feminism goes, TRP goes with it. I think the manosphere will keep existing but it'll increasingly revolve around a core group of inexperienced losers. The more normal or moderate parts of the manosphere will kinda drift off in order to not be associated with the incel/MGTOW crowd.

So, as far as the Manosphere (PUA, RP/TRP and MGTOW), as well as incel/whatevercel related communities are concerned, where do you see their future?

So long as feminism and social justice continue to constitute an effective censorship of all public (but not private) criticism of female behavior, the current status quo will continue.

Right now, the "Manosphere" is largely decentralized, much like the alt right, GamerGators, and other groups that rely on anonymity. It is a place to hang out and maybe share some ideas, but cannot achieve anything much more significant than that.

The question is whether feminists/SJWs will accrue enough influence to project censorship onto the internet as well. You can see tendrils of this now with the increasing demands for "accountability" for what people write anonymously and getting rid of "hate speech", etc. If the censors succeed, the manosphere will wither away, although that will be a rather small problem in the grand scheme of things.

The other possibility is that RP ideas become prevalent enough to swing the overton window back a few decades and make 1950s style views on women expressable in public again, in which case RP ideas will integrate into the mainstream. This, too, is highly unlikely.

So what I predict is a continuance of the status quo. In public, everyone thinks women are wonderful and can do no wrong. In private, and under the cloak of anonymity, the thoughts no one can say out loud fester and gain traction.

PUA was where it started. Around 2013 when TRP the subreddit was founded, the idea was to take the PUA's fakery and mimicry, and actually build the real man. So instead of a man faking the confidence and dominance and lifestyle, the man before the woman was actually living the confidence ,dominance and lifestyle. Where you're getting hung up is thinking that all of TRP/Red Pill is PUA. It isn't.

Small parts of the 'sphere are already spreading into the mainstream. The big ones are "marriage is a bad deal for men" and AFBB (though the latter isn't called that). Large parts of the manosphere are splitting into factions. One part is getting radicalized, even absorbed, into alt right and hardcore MGTOW. Another is the Christomanosphere, made up of Christian men who use Red Pill knowledge to make it through marriages and life. Most people are learning what they need and moving on. Some people stay around and help teach.

Most guys don't need TRP, and even if they got into TRP they wouldn't be successful with women because most women aren't attracted to guys who think ''she's not my gf, its just my turn''.
