It's true we are still chimps, and gendered chimps at that. So hive mind effects are natural. But when you get into specifics, culture and environment play a role.

As an example, how men feel about why women sleep with them, how desirous women are of them, etc. is complicated. In some culture, men don't care AT ALL. In modern culture, men do care. But whether men care because they truly care, or because modernity has turned this into a male status contest is hard to say.

It’s heavily generalized and has tons of limitations.

The male hive mind in your perspective is a sub set of men who ONLY view sex as an importance. Which isn’t true for most men. If that’s so then men wouldn’t bother with women or getting wives and instead just use sex worker services.

For the women aspect I think it’s actually a large minority. Yes there’s plenty of women who would be with someone for monetary benefits but that’s limited to women who don’t desire you. If they can’t get that aspect then they’ll favour other ways for benefit.

Your take is highly specialized to only a subset of some people and doesn’t factor outside variables (morality, culture, emotions etc.)

From my perspective at least the male hive mind differs enough to include a half-dozen "pillspectives" while it seems like the female hive is mostly limited to different shades of blue and zero tolerance for black pill. Another difference is that most of the women here say they're partnered while most of the men seem to be single. If I was partnered or married I would struggle to find the motive and free time to go online just to punch down on lonely people.

Dating coaches of both genders post pandemic teach the same thing now: multidate, stay detached, let the other person chase, you're the prize and don't need anyone. You need a software update. Boring as fuck but it is what it is.

as for women, imo, most would prefer a kinder partner in 2026 than a rich asshole - so long as he's doing something with his life - because they can make their own money.

imo, it will increasingly become true too, though women probably won't ever match how little men care about women's money

Do you know whether people are regurgitating these "hive-mind" talking points à la NPC, or maybe they have other motives? It could be a rhetorical device to establish a connection with the audience or to put more socially commendable motives before more self-serving ones. For example, during the pandemic, in tech in particular, working remotely out of fear of the virus became a rallying cry (an identity badge to establish rapport with other engineers) with benefits like greater flexibility and being able to play geographic arbitrage with salary.

Likewise, how much are people leaning on common vocabulary and arguments to put words to feelings and intuitions rather than absorbing the whole "hive-mind" uncritically? The upvote-downvote and moderation mechanisms on Reddit leads to subreddits with some homogeneity, but this doesn't mean participants don't have other opinions.

Specifically, with male and female dating/relationship "hive-minds," I don't watch any of these influencers at all, and I don't think the average person is either. Some of it trickles down into general discussion in various subs, but especially, once you get offline, I'm not sure this stuff is as popular. Sure, some people probably embrace the "hive-mind" wholeheartedly, but do you have any support for the idea that it's "many" rather than a vocal few in certain subreddits?
