I agree, except for the fact that no, this will not give men an upper hand in the dating game. I would argue that it actually gives you even worse odds if you think being single is awesome, because you won't be motivated to put in the work necessary to get into a relationship or have sex.

I mean...it makes sense, but being alone all the time can make you very lonely. Im 42, most of my family died, friends disappeared when they got married. Yeah if you love yourself you will never be lonely, but not sure how to do that when having depression and anxiety your whole life

My friends don’t understand either. it's not underrated at all, everywhere I read people blabbering about how happy they are single. you will struggle to buy a house in a lot of metros if you're single. plus you eliminate the chance to have a family in a traditional way and you'll lose out on social opportunities as you get older.

being single is good if you are willing to live a non-traditional lifestyle. but the truth is most people are not equipped to do this and are deluding themselves into believing they could.

Naw its fairly rated, men know they can save being alone but the drive to be with someone is strong, so it bypasses all those things. Especially if a man has it pretty decent to where they aren’t having to spend on their woman all the time. There are so many upsides to it. For example, you can earn your own money, there's no drama and you have freedom. You dont have to worry about your boyfriend leaving you for whatever reason (sometimes even because he's bored), you don't have to worry about being cheated on or worry about whether you're being used for sex if your boyfriend requires you to be the one always initiating and getting him off. Also, you don't have to engage in empty conversations about nothing of substance.

Road goes two ways. Funny thing is, women seem to be ok with being single, whereas men are the ones crying foul and how "We'll regret when you leave."

I mean, if you're happier single depends on you as an individual, but it's certainly not cheaper. Unless your partner is unemployed (unlikely), you're going to increase your income, probably close to double it as most people date roughly within their income bracket, while decreasing per-person costs due to economies of scale (with housing especially this can be dramatic). If you want to buy a home you basically need a partner in many parts of the world.

Not that I agree with all you said because that description sounds like dating someone you don't really like just for the sake of company and to not be alone, but i do agree it's better to be along than in a draining relationship.

I mostly stayed single the past year when I was dealing with my own things and tbh that's not the only time, I don't even consider dating or relationships at times because I have more important shit. Right now? I'm open back up but also maintaining boundaries and how much I give and take and making sure we're both going into it right. It's been much better since and being able to enjoy my own presence and find my own personal passions again and then just wait for someone who adds to it to come along.

Recently? Started seeing some women that I can drop my "mask" around which is huge for a guy like me.

Saving money is not entirely true. Most people I know with dual income save a ton of money by cohabiting.

Maybe because literally every single study released confirms that men's life is markedly improved in relationships and marriage. Marriage alleviates men's depression, but it's the opposite for women. Men live longer and happier lives.

But that's the result of being a parasitic cunt that literally sucks the lifeforce out of women by dumping all the chores and childcare on her, while only making half the income (while claiming privileges like they made all the fucking income). Then they'll ask her a million fucking questions about where stuff is, because they can't be bothered to put the work in to be a full and present partner. Men ask for 50/50 because women are gold diggers but then eat all the fucking food, like the fatter fucking pigs that they are.

Women actually shut the fuck up about it. They're just quietly living a longer life than married women, doing their own chores, making their own money, building their social support system by making brunch plans, planning a get together, volunteering and are objectively happier than single men.

Q4M: Have you considered not being exploitative, narcissistic cunts? Empathy and introspection are good qualities to have, not something to use to manipulate women into dating you because they feel sorry for you. Just a thought.

I was a very happy single woman. I had freedom to spend my time how I wanted, flexibility to move anywhere, and space and room to grow and live as the adult I dreamed of when I was a kid.

I had limitations like I can't go to too sketchy of a place at night, needed to worry about safety in certain situations, lots of cabinets and such are made for a male height, lots of furniture, even cheap and light ones are harder to move around as a woman. But even then it was very enjoyable. And I also knew I had some time crunch since I wanted to have kids one day so I can only enjoy this for a limited amount of time before needing to care about dating.

If I was a guy I felt like I would've been even more carefree and enjoy singlehood even more. It's strange that men have a much more tangible advantage in terms of being single but it seems to bother them more.
