Me minding my business and some dude coming up to try and hit on me isn't the same as my partner going up to someone and hitting on them. On my part, I'm existing and someone is trying to get my attention, I can't control what random guys choose to do. On his part, he has full control of himself and shouldn't be trying to hit up random women.

you don't have to cheat emotionally to have other women interested in you, especially while you're in a relationship with a desirable woman. pre-selection is a thing. i would also advise against committing to women who keep their options open while in relationships. but if you date attractive women other guys will be interested once she's single either way, it comes with the territory.

You're free to emotionally negotiate any boundaries you see as necessary in your relationships if you find an agreeable partner. Nobody is going to condone doing stuff behind anyone's back though. And you can't dictate other people's boundaries. There's no reason for a woman to prioritize your peace of mind in case she leaves you over her own peace of mind in the relationship. Still, there are probably some out there who would.

I made a post several months ago about how if attached women want to go to clubs where they know they will be approached and hit on by guys, then attached men should be allowed to go to those same spaces and approach women and flirt with them.

It's only fair, as men don't have women seeking them out in those places.

What do you mean by "should be able to"? We ARE able to emotionally cheat. We DO cheat emotionally. Cheating happens for men who have the options to cheat. It's not about "should be able to" but more about "will do if they are capable of it". Try having a replacement wife as an emotional affair. Most men are happy to attract and keep ONE women they put in lots of time and resources. Hard to imagine to have a second one at their fingertips, who doesn't get the unshared attention and resources, while she has lots of other men willing to give her 100% of them.

Men who have an emotional affair don't keep them so they have a replacement there, in case something goes wrong. Those men can find a replacement AFTER the fact something went wrong with no issues. People who can attract multiple women to them don't need "insurance policies". They know they will be fine.

This isnt strictly relevant, but I wanted to bring it up on the off chance someone responds. As a man, I would feel WAY less emotional if my woman partner cheated on me with a woman than a man.

I dont know why this is. If my wife slept over at a girlfriends house and they did the ol' pearl polishing and roughin' up the clam, I just dont feel it the same way.

If she slept over at a guys house, I would be out for fucking blood.

Not actually, but I said that to illustrate the gulf between the two. A "funny story of two women having a moment" vs "it is entirely possible that someone dies at the end of this".
