I’ve noticed discussions about PUA here recently, and decided to put my 2 cents in. People often say that PUA is some collection of unethical dirty tricks designed to manipulate women.

I don’t think PUA is exactly that. For those who have time, I’d refer you to a video by MacabreStorytelling, which explains it better than me.

In short, I think PUA is probably the only source of actionable advice on approaching and flirting. Talking to and behaving around women you’re interested in is a skill, and you have little chances as a man if you cannot do it. Learning something from PUA is learning to behave in a way women like you to be behave, so what’s so bad about it?

I’ll tell you a story of how, in my opinion, the majority of guys get into PUA. Imagine you are 17-year old guy. Everyone around you starts dating and having sex, but it does not happen with you somehow. You like, say, three girls, but you have no idea of what to do about it.

So, you decide to finally do something about it. You go to the girls you like and tell them about your feelings, and they say “lol wot no”. At the same time, you notice there are guys who just talk to the girls you like and later you learn they date or have had a hook up. You try talking to girls too, but it doesn’t work.

So, you try to figure out what these guys do, and that’s how you find PUA. That’s it; you don’t go to a secret club of misogynists who make their dark plans on manipulating women.
