Basically read only fantasy and sci-fi. I pretty much have no interest in reading anything else.

Purple pill, I agree with the basic dictionary definition of feminism but not with the modern doctrine/philosophy, at all. I think feminism today is filled with sexism and cult-like adherence to SJW beliefs.

I really hate it when a book becomes a transparent preachy metaphor instead of a story.

I vacillate between reading actual books and listening to podcasts or audiobooks. Right now I am reading City of Light, City of Poison about a series of poisonings investigated by a man appointed by Louis XIV in Paris and Dodge City about Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. Earlier this year I read a biography of Grant. I plan to read Jill LePore's These Truths next. In terms of podcasts, true crime, history, for the most part. I like topical things and people things as well. I decided to spring for audible and next to listen to will be Esther Perel's third season of taped couple's counseling sessions. I guess it is apparent I am not super intellectual. For news I look at online content and read the occasional newspaper. I do not have a TV, I think cable news at least in the US is garbage and I can see it when I go to the gym.

Libfem is dumb because women are fundamentally not the same. I disagree with radfem but they're on firmer ground.

No, mostly non-fiction. Lots of ideas. Interesting ideas make for good cocktail fodder. The relative lack of reading here shocks and appalls me, but I imagine that much of that is simply reacting to the norms of a class not my own. I have to read to fit in, so I might as well enjoy it.

If you are ideological, does ideological work dominate your reading?

I am politically inclined, but ideological work does not dominate my reading.

I read about a hundred books a year.

This year I've been slowly working my way through a bunch of evo psych books and also books in the 'manosphere sidebar'. On the evo psych side, Evolution of Desire, Red Queen, Mating Mind, Sperm Wars. Also this book called Bonk. I've also read Rollo's books (ugh), Practical Female Psychology for the Practical Mind, The Tactical Guide to Women, Way of Men, Stephen Covey/Dale Carnegie books, 48 Laws of Power, a bunch of books about stoicism.

I've also been trying to read some books from the 'other side', namely 'The Ethical Slut', and 'The Power of the Pussy'. Open to suggestions

I'm red pill and I read a lot of psychology books, some historical fiction and soon starting on philosophy and economics. Ideology doesn't determine my reading, otherwise I wouldn't be able to read many psychology books. I read books in both English and my native language, although I mostly prefer to read in English. There's just more variety and I want to keep acquiring vocabulary.

One thing that I started to do recently is read books that I have already read in the past, mostly because newly acquired experience and knowledge allows me to understand some things better.

I read a whole lot when I was in my pre-teens and teens. Mostly science fiction and fantasy, also a lot about crafts and aesthetics. Less in my twenties, and about two thirds of it feminism related. Almost nothing but things applicable to real life and my job in my thirties when I was raising little kids. Now I'm back to it again in my forties but to be blunt I kind of prefer audio books now we've got the technology to make them almost as accessible as the written word.

i read constantly and have done so sionce i was a small child i didnt get the internet til i was 30, so i used to read 10s of magazines and journals you had to actually BUY a month, and endless books

i read almost exclusively good historical fiction written by men (except for colleen mccolloughs first man in rome series and old mary renault) and spec sci fi. fo rnon fiction i gravitate towards my own worldview i like thomas sowell for example. my favorite authors are rand, umberto eco, james michener and neal stephenson even though my all time favorite book is gone with the wind

I do a lot of Wikipedia and TVTropes blackholism and read technical manuals for programming languages a lot; the only fiction that I read is erotic literature and that's rare.

I think all your pills are silly and your American is equally inscrutable and does not apply to me as a European.

I think "feminism" is a vague word that is defined differently by anyone. I reject gender as a social identity along with all other social identities and care not for the plight of identity groups and want everyone to be judged on the man, not on the sex or any other identity category. I am opposed to things like gendered pronouns and sex-segregated sports and locker rooms as well as Tumbler banning "female presenting nipples".

I do not read a lot of political opinion pieces; I find that in practice they mostly preach to the choir and if they preach to my choir it's useless and if they preach to another choir they aren't going to convince me obviously. I've read stronger arguments on r/changemyview than on any of those published political opinion pieces simply because a publisher won't publish whatever does not preach to the choir and actually tries to convince people because it's not commercially viable.

Purple, and don't care much for feminism. There was a time in the not so distant past that I would have identified as a feminist, but not anymore. The more extreme feminist pushed me away, and I think feminism has "jumped the shark," so to speak.

I don't read like I used to, but have mostly read fiction in books, but have read books about real life, philosophy, religion, etc. I've went through a couple religions, and was even Christian enough at one point to read the entire Bible cover to cover. I've also been a Satanist, and had everything Anton LaVey ever wrote. Religiously now, I'd identify as panthiestic, but Christians might as well view me as pagan.

An ex stole most of my meager book collection, but I still have a few, including most of Hunter S. Thompson's books, which pretty much sums up the kinds of things I'd be interested in reading now. The last actual book I read was probably "American Gods," and I really liked it.

Other than that recent books were things like, "The Reality Of ESP, A Physicist's Proof Of Psychic Abilities," and "The Science Delusion," by Rupert Sheldrake.

Now I mostly read Reddit, or some online how to, or some weird research into whatever kick I'm on, like biodiesel, or trying to understand the chemistry of plant extracts or such. I seem to have a knack for speed reading, and reading comprehension, which comes in handy here.

I can usually scan through days, if not all of someone's post or comment history in the time it takes them to reply or comment if I think I see reason. Someone account I don't recognize throws out what looks like a "gotcha post," for example, and I can quickly scan and get a, "meta" picture of them, (gender, ideology, political motivation, etc.) to figure out where they're going with it, or what I think they're agenda is. People fascinate me, and I like trying to figure out what makes everyone tick, or why or how they see things as they do.

I read voraciously, about 3 books a month. I try to fit in at least one fiction in there, favoring the classics. At the risk of sounding like a turd, I much prefer analog books over kindles etc, so I get my reading material at bookstores, Amazon, borrowed from friends, and the library.

I’m mostly a classics kind of girl. Like in 2018, I read Anna Karenina, The Idiot, War and Peace, The Brothers Karamazov, Demons, Dead Souls. Ok so it’s most Russian lit. Which makes sense I was born in the FSU.

Currently working on Doctor Zhivago and FI got me 3 new books for Christmas so. Yay fun year ahead.

Reader. I always have a book on the nightstand and one in the truck. Try to read for an hour a day. Mostly nonfiction, especially history (including historical analysis ... for instance, right now the nightstand book is "Strangers in the Land: Patterns of American Nativism, 1860-1925") but with a smattering of quality fiction (the truck book at the moment is "Everything That Rises Must Converge," a collection of short stories by Flannery O'Connor).

Down year. Read 36 books. Will typically reach 60+ and various lectures. Mostly poetry, philosophy, prose fiction, memoir-esque non-fiction. Lectures are largely in philosophy. I do have to admit to an American bias in just about everything. I love American literature, American philosophy, American poetry. But I do read quite a bit from S. America and all over Europe.

I’ve downloaded from Gutenberg in the past, but heavily prefer paper reading to electronic. University libraries carry about everything worth reading.

I stopped reading news around 2014-15, when biases and thinktank-influencers began seeping into every mode of public life. I don’t take anything from Reddit seriously. I mean anything. It’s a joke and I cannot explain why I continue to post here besides crushing solitude and loneliness.

Non-ideological. Apolitical, atheist, purple piller. Feminism rests on solid moral and historical grounds with profound, widespread and (sometimes very negative) sweeping social side-effects. The sexual revolution is largely bust. Dating apps have changed dating culture as much as anything else in the past hundred years, including contraception.

I read from every side of the political and social spectrum, meaning Jonah Goldberg to Ta-Nehisi Coates, late-Republican Eldridge Cleaver to George Jackson at his most revolutionary, masc-art school to the Dickinson and language poets.

I’d like to think I’ve developed a pretty solid bullshit-detector as a result, but so does everyone else.

Never be close minded.. always be willing to adapt and grow. And also realize that YOU are your GREATEST ASSET.

About 2 novels a week, 1 or 2 nonfiction books a month (history or social sciences), at least 15 minutes of browsing news headlines daily from various major outlets as well as blogs relating to places and issues I’m interested in, I don’t really log the hours but various more of longreads articles, self improvement or women’s interest websites, and Reddit. News and fashion magazines weekly to monthly.

Not very ideological but tend to skew left economically while having social ideals that run the gamut, not a feminist but believe the history of feminist advances is mostly good. Believe in gender roles but think all persons deserve equal rights and to live as they please.

I generally don't read at all. The last seven books I've bought and read all were about eastern front. When I read, I read exclusively on paper. I'm red/black/voidpill. Feminism is a female supremacy movement. I don't follow news at all, neither local nor world, and only know about the largest happenings from second hand sources. Isn't everyone ideological in some way? It does not dominate my reading because no one writes books about pill stuff. At least not ones worth reading.

What is the red pill and its obsession with reading?

I don’t really read all that much. I can’t concentrate and I have mild dyslexia so I can’t find enjoyment in it, but I will read if I have to. I do listen to a lot of audiobooks instead, I find it easier to comprehend. I tend to listen to a lot of history books, but that’s about it.

Ido read sometimes though my SO is the much bigger reader. I read some combination of stuff on Reddit, a lot of long form investigate journalism, both from the political and sports worlds, and some books, mainly sci-fi or fiction.

I'm anti TRP most of the hand wringing about feminism to be silly and/or odd. I don't really read about feminism or feminist theory though. Did have a class in college that was tangentially related and that was actually really fascinating though.

I'll read books from a lot of different places. Really the subject just has to grab me. While I am very left leaning relative to the people on this subject, I wouldn't say I read much if any ideological work, unless you could long form journalism as ideological (I don't because of how it is written and structured)

Favorite books right now are A Roadside Picnic and Cloud Atlas. House of Leaves is also fantastic.

Academically, I read almost everything as almost everything is related to economy. Other kinds? Not so much. As I have limited time.

Most non academic/educational books I read are fantasy. Love the genre.

I prefer the paper versions, there is pretty good used book stores back at home. I only read online when I have no other option.

What pill are you?

No pill, as I believe no pill have the data enough to sustain their view completely, but I heavily lean red as it seems to work the best, and the few researches which exist about the matter corroborate the redder side.

Where do you stand on feminism?

Depends. I do believe men and women should be equal but both should be as free as possible without it restraining other peoples freedom (aka, libertarian).

Today's feminism statists and the left are more against freedom than the right, so I am quite against feminism.

I only look at news or social media for professional/academic reasons. Not for fun. My only fun is PPD and gaming.

I know mostly about my own country, obviously, but I do study others too, as it is part of my profession and my dream is to leave this country.

I dont know if thinking that everyone should be free is really a ideology or a moral thing. But I study all ideologies, without any restraint. From Das Kapital to the wealth of the nations. I like to consider and test every and each path before taking one by myself.

I refuse to be restrained to a single ideology like most of my country. Their narrowmindness is one of the reasons I am trying to leave this country in the first place. They usually tell me "love this or leave". I chose the latter.
