RP and sales training are almost identical in terms of how they come to be as a body of knowledge. RP is not some INTP ant farmer sociology or psychology survey or government program, it is the collected wisdom of and analysis of those who are successful in the field. its not presented as anything else. you can take it or leave it. if youre inept and cant internalize it well, it will not help you

RP has all the tools you need to succeed as a guy. This is absolutely non-negotiable in my opinion. It's impossible to argue against it. Every single guy on this planet can improve his experiences with women with some RP knowledge. Even an absolute "Chad" can learn something from it.

The results you can get from TRP will depend on your intelligence, hard work and the way you implement it.

It also has some advice that is downright amoral and can kill the innocence and positiveness within you and leave you hopeless about life. Which is why, i always say that guys shouldn't spend too much time on TRP. Spend time going through all the info on it and then pick the things that you want to apply to your personal situation.

Don't fall into the darkest corners of the TRP and your life will be better off with it than without it.

It worked for me. However I could see that many guys just wouldn't be able to pull off a "masculine alpha personality" though. Some guys might just need to find a different gimmick that suits them better.

Just understanding how females work and what they're attracted to will at least help men to start moving in the right direction. Things like getting in better shape, dressing better, improving your income is always good advice.

I think it helps a certain kind of man not fall into the trap of acting pathetic. No one tells men that most women will be put off if you act vulnerable, submissive, emotional, and clingy among other undesired behaviors. A lot of men will act like that right out the gate because a large portion of society says that more men need to act like that when in reality that harms your chances at romance and even the respect you get from other men. You can say it is immoral for men to have to act that way, but it can't be denied that acting that way as a man will put you at a disadvantage.

However I also think it has some pretty dreadful advice or that parts of the community push stuff that is absurd. The PUA boot-camp guys are con-artist selling tactics that will embarrass you and scare off women. It really takes advantage of naive men, and I think many of the critics of the red pill formed their criticisms from viewing the antics of these men. The self help part of the red pill I think positively helps men though.

I’m behind this thought that RP does work, but it only works for men who are or have the potential to be 7/10 to a majority of women. The thing that RP doesn’t realize that not all men are created equal, not every man will be able to find success using RP tactics.

Eg knowing that being fit is attractive does very little, spending the time in the gym and making your body strong and aesthetic does quite a bit

I think the evidence that TRP works is in the stories and experience of people who have applied it’s principles and seen success. There are many stories of men who were unsuccessful for long periods of time, changed their actions in accordance with TRP, and began to see success. Psychology can be a little grey sometimes even with the best of studies, so I think for many men, this is the best they’ve found to work off of. What else should someone do if they want different results than to try a new method?

And ultimately, the primary thing that enables TRP or anything similar is confirmation bias. There may be a few elements of truth, and I even think that some of the problems they identify are serious, however for the most part TRP is series of theories from intuition. Evidence is then gathered to support a previously established conclusion. Ultimately, this "positive testing" is completely contrary to what science would advocate. Negative testing is almost always the better strategy.

Of course I've pointed this out to so many red pillers over the last few months, and pretty much all of them retreat to "we don't have time for that, we just want to use what works." And this always seems so contrary to the supposed TRP concept of self improvement. I don't know how you can go from saying "TRP is really all about self improvement" to saying "we don't really want to try to improve TRP."

It works because at its core the working components of RP advice are common sense like being the best version of yourself, doing it for yourself, and displaying confidence. There is no doubt women are drawn to these traits. The point that isn't as well discussed is these are often features of girl game as well, and unless you are a man who simply must have a shrinking violet, you're going to be attracted to a woman who also exhibits these behaviors.

Men who fail have yet to internalize they possess value. I'm sorry, but as someone who has been there (really) and has a personality that tends towards depression, this is a "fake it til you make it" situation.

There’s no real way to prove that or disprove that. It tends to be an argument used to defend RP when someone raises some sort of moral or value based objection to it or says its inaccurate then you’ll get stuff like “ok but it works so who cares if it’s inaccurate”.

As soon as I understood RP concepts I started getting laid and seducing women successfully. And I didn't even know TRP back then, I just came up with the concepts by myself by observing and experimenting.

That's no data for sure. But the incidental reasons why I couldn't get laid were: I was putting women on pedestal, I was having oneitis, I was not sexual and assertive.

RP is effective, though probably more for things other than obtaining casual sex from women. With the exception of MRP (married red pill) it's rare that I read anything from Reddit, magazines, video, etc that doesn't make me wince inwardly at the thought of being in close contact with someone employing those techniques, as well as wondering how long it could take before a woman would realize there's a definite lack of authenticity about him.

I think it can work just in terms of giving a guy permission to act confident and to keep trying with girls even when the first on rejects you. A lot of these guys identified fully as passive and anxious. So it’s not as easy to all on their own act with more confidence but it is easier when you have a group online to check in with and tell you it’s not embarrassing to get rejected and how to come off as more confident. Of course sometimes they help guys get over rejection by blaming women for everything evil. But anywaySo the alternate was often just not trying. I think that’s the basic thing that works but some of the more advanced nuanced methods are more like cargo cults. The number one difference most of them experience is racking up numbers of approaches which most of them were too neurotic to try before.

We hear plenty of fail rates from guys who can’t make it work. They always have problems with frame and game.

It is no different than say learning basketball. The skills, techniques, physique and tactics that work are well understood, and some people are able to learn it more easily than others, some have traits and other skills that apply well to the sport, some turn out to be exceptionally talented at it and other are just too inept or undisciplined to develop real skill.

Do you have data on how many people can’t learn to play basketball? Does that mean a basketball coach can’t teach people how to play?
