The problem with standards I have seen until now is how people describe them as unidimensional entities describing them as low and hight

In my opinion, what make a set of standards bad is how incompatible those standards are together. For instance, you can't want an hard-worker with a lot of free time, or a 50/50 person who is not independent

The one implicit standard I find really strange is to want an objectively highly attractive person and want to be treated with a deep love. Generally those people have a lot of options so you won't be treated that well since you're a statistic to them

What are your thoughts on that ? What kind of standards do you think are incompatible ? What kind of standards are high but can be compensated with trade-off ?
