Do you mean people are offering online or in person? What is the context here, what are you saying to these women in the first place to get them to give you advice on your dating profile?

I think you're taking a super niche issue and making it a gender thing. The only thing I can think of is there's something really off putting on your dating profile that makes them not want to talk to you or they don't want to be the one to tell you. without seeing the profile in question there's no way to know.

it does seem strange that people would be approaching you asking for your profile and then ghosting you, feel like there is more to this story.

Some people are just flaky, some people got shit going on and your dating profile is so low of a priority that it's not even on the list. Not saying it's right, if you offer or agree to help someone with something you should but, again, some people are just flaky, inconsiderate, or they're too bogged down by their own shit to deal with other people's stuff right now.

Women unfortunately have a tendency to be very fickle. They can be very agreeable to your face to protect social harmony but then go back on their word when no one is looking.

Edit - They thought that they can give you constructive criticism but found out in the moment they are unable to. It's uncomfortable. Need social harmony.

In addition to other reasons listed above (some I agree with, some I don't), anxiety is a huge driver here. If you're in your 20s you're going to be running into a lot of people, not only women, with just unmanageable levels of social anxiety - something like 60% of Gen Z has a medically diagnosed anxiety disorder of some form - and that's absolutely going to get in the way of dating normally.

We tend to be very agreeable on the surface. I "ghosted" a guy because our first conversation he sounded like a knuckle dragging caveman. He mentioned sex first thing and talked about sex. He also didn't say where it said he lived. And he also used old photos.

Not my guy. Next.

I usually let them do the talking and their behavior is what decides if I want to see them or not.

Because attraction for women has another layer beyond the physical. If there is no rapport or mismatched values and experience, there is no attraction.

Most women have to spend a little time getting to know a man before they are certain they are attracted. His looks alone aren't sufficient.

I just "ghosted" a new teammate for pinning conspiracy theories on his social media page. I never intended to date him, but I don't even want to be associated with him beyond playing volleyball against him.

It's not a womans thing - it's a people thing. I have read many stories where people ghost in platonic context.

Sometimes they didn't realise the extent to what they have agreed to do and when they see what it actually entails - it's beyond their capabilities. Sometimes you think that you can help, but when you see the situation in reality - you realise that you can't help,but you have already agreed to help and thus saying "no" after seeing the situation is seen as rude and thus you get a sort of an analysis paralysis, thus in a way freezing and thus the ghosting.

So these are women that you have never met in person ? They send you emails offering you advice on how to improve? I am confused. If you never met the person in person it’s not really ghosting as you have no real relationship with them. Two reasons, I think you are putting a lot more stock into this than they are and second if it’s’ online they are truly overwhelmed with messages.
