According to RP ideology, women "hit the wall" at 30 and thus become undesirable to men. But also according to RP ideology, women should settle down in their 20s since they have a greater chance of getting a quality partner at that age. Of course, anyone with common sense would look at these two statements and realize that there is no incentive for a woman to settle down in her 20s. Redpillers counter this by claiming that men get "wife goggles" where they have a rosy view of their SOs due to the time they spent together in their youth.

This is a nice thought that doesn't esist in reality. According to stats, rates of male infidelity increase over time. If the "wife goggles" theory were true, they should decrease instead. Of course you could argue that "wife goggles" is what compels them to cheat instead of just leave outright but the vast majority of women would much rather be single than have an unfaithful partner, which once again brings us back around to the question of why any woman should settle down in her 20s?

Additionally, men are much more likely to leave their wives when they are sick, something that these supposed wife goggles should prevent but do not.
