I was chatting with two women the other day (one fit and one overweight) when the conversation turned to food. The overweight girl mentioned that she felt envious of women who could indulge in the occasional junk food meal without instantly gaining weight. I thought to myself, that's true, people can vary a lot in their genetics and metabolism.

Fast forward a few days, I end up running into the overweight girl twice in one day. In the late morning, she has picked up a box of breadsticks for brunch. And I think, fair enough. I'm not one to criticize someone for what they eat, and if that's all she has for most of the day, maybe her macronutrient intake is still halfway healthy by the end of the day.

Later that day, I see her again, and now she's eating her dinner: another fucking box of breadsticks, this time from a different fast food restaurant.

She is apparently under the impression that skinny girls also fill up on greasy bread twice a day, and that DNA accounts for the different in their appearance.
