I learned about this subreddit from the most hated subreddits thing, and actually found myself agreeing with a lot of the posts here. Especially because I spent the larger part of the last year fawning over a girl who would constantly complain to me about her boyfriend, and made massive hints that she would want to be more then friends with me, but then ended up just playing me like a flute. Dragging me on so I would shower her with compliments about how beautiful she was, then cut me off right as I thought I had a chance. As I went through this I came to a lot of the conclusions that The Red Pill seems to be showcasing. No matter how nice I was, how much attention I gave her, nothing worked, and she just stayed with her asshole boyfriend. The worst part was when I realized that I had spent hours thinking about her, and I was probably nothing more to her then a tiny blip on her radar. One of many guys who would give her the attention she wanted.

Let me get to the point: I am currently a beta and I think I want to change, but I am scared of changing into one of those cocky assholes that I hate. And I'm also worried that most of the stuff on this subreddit is totally fantasy and that acting the way this subreddit tells you to act will just make you look stupid. In addition, assuming this does work, I am an emotional guy, and it seems like if I do this stuff I will have to hide my emotions from everybody including myself. I want to trust this, I really do, I just don't know if I can.

EDIT: Should I move this to askTRP?

EDIT2: Thank you all for the responses, I am reading and up voting every one. It is really helpful.\

EDIT3: Just watched time ho. That was tough to hear, but scarily accurate.
