Skincare can be ridiculously complicated, go over to skincareaddiction and see for yourself.

But for us Men we can keep it simple. Nothing fancy will be included in this guide. This will make your face look 90% of it's best possible complexion for 90% of you.

All we need are 4 things:

1) Facial Cleanser - If you think your skin is oily, use a cleanser designed for oily, if it's not, get the one for dry skin. All a cleanser does is wash your face, better then water, and not as harsh on your skin as soap.

2) Exfoliator - This is something to remove the dead skin and bacteria on your face. There are two types, physical and chemical. Don't use Physical for the same reason you don't use a scourer to wash your nuts. Look for something with salycic acid, Pads are much more convenient as they are easiest to apply and are disposable. The acid in this will dissolve dead skin and kill bacteria and evaporate before burning your skin too much.

3) Moisturiser - Buy the biggest, cheapest tub you can get, it should have vitamin E/sorbolene cream in it. Just get one you like. Women spend 100's of dollars on tiny containers, I spent $9 for 2 litres of it for the same effect.

4) Sunscreen - The sun fucks your skin up, put on sunscreen more then you currently do.

Apply steps 1-3 morning and night and vary based on your results. Basically pimples are caused by your pores getting blocked and infected, too much scrubbing (this is why you don't use physical exfoliators) and chemicals can open up your pores and make your acne worse.

Personally I moisturise in the morning and night and cleanse/exfoliate at night only. You might have to do cleanse/exfoliate in the morning, but try it out to see. Moisturise morning and night always.

FAQ:

  • Don't pick/squeeze your pimples, apply salycic acid (I use a Q tip for this) to spots as they appear to kill the bacteria that causes the redness/inflammation. Salycic acid will dry your skin out, so moisturise afterwards, yes even if the red patch is oily as fuck.

  • General health is not covered because obviously you should be healthy, positive and eating right, but there's always one

  • If you have patchy skin it should look better in 1-2 weeks.

You may now commence arguing about complicated things which somehow did not make it into a basic guide and wether or not moisturing your skin is "Alpha"

Obviously though all the above is bullshit and this is the correct routine everyone should follow
