I dealt with CFS for three years and finally discovered my problem: low thyroid and low testosterone. I am now on TRT and thyroid replacement and feeling 80% better. Hormones, primarily thyroid, cortisol, and testosterone control your energy among many other things. If you have low energy, it is EXTREMELY likely you are somewhat lacking in at least one of these three hormones. You need bloodwork done. You also need to SEE your bloodwork results. Not just rely on your doctor who will tell you, “everything is in range.” My testosterone was “in range”. My levels were 300 on a scale of 250-1100. That’s about as low as a 70 year old man. Same with my thyroid. My TSH was 4.9 in a range of .5-5.0. “In range” doesn’t mean shit. Go to an integrative medical doctor who will work with you and request him to test the following: 1. SALIVARY CORTISOL 4x, 2. TSH, 3. Free T3, 4. Free T4, 5. Reverse T3, 6. Total Testosterone, 7. Free testosterone. CFS is not a cause, it is a symptom. Energy stems directly from hormones. If you have questions interpreting a bloodwork or finding a doctor who will work with you, feel free to PM me. Remember, CFS is a SYMPTOM. It is not an actual disease. I dealt with it for 3 years and cured it after over 20 blood tests and 5 different doctors. The cause depends on the person. 99% of the time though, it is hormone related.

Here's an interesting bit of info for you. I have limited mobility, chronic pain, ptsd and other mental shit I deal with every day. Today is the first day I've been in my shop in almost three weeks to do more than put air in my truck tires. Need to get somewhere on the two cars sitting in here that I'm rebuilding.

I got fucked up in the desert back in 04, was my last deployment. Got forced out a year later. Can't run, can't deploy, can't be in the military. I've gone from the man who was capable of crazy shit, lifting massive weight, doing the impossible as an afterthought, to not being able to walk 200ft without excruciating pain. My back is great, the rest of me is fucked.

Man that was something to get used to, capable to can't do shit. I got fat from sitting around, thankfully didn't lose the muscle, but it was covered in fat. That made it worse. The ex stayed and did what she could through all the crap I had to endure from the war. I endured the pain, and found ways around it to get active again, I started getting better and being who I am, pushed myself again. Then I fucked upmy lungs with a chemical that makes it hurt to breathe. Then the ex took off just when I was recovering from that. Best thing the bitch did for me to be honest. I've gotten more done in the last 4 years than I did in the 9 with her, she was holding me back.

That six months of being unable to do anything let me heal, and now I can walk again, lift, and I get active all summer. Gained weight again during that six months, and subsequently lost it again. Now I'm back where I was when I was fat, but it's more muscle on me now. 48 and still packing on the muscle, I'll never run again, but I'm not a fat ass. I fuck girls half my age easily, not fat chicks but hot girls. I don't tell them a damn thing about what I deal with.

The point of this is you do what you can, find ways around your issues. This goes for everyone, because everyone has issues and you need to get shit done regardless. I've found ways around pain, mental shit, lack of money, living in the middle of nowhere, and not being able to breathe. Your shit is an obstacle, you go over, around, under, or right through the mother fucker.

I get that you lack energy and have a hard time with getting going. Put in as much effort as you can while you can, trust me on that. Build up your tolerance and extend the time where you can get shit done. You're still human, so it will still work. Sitting on your ass won't get you anywhere.

I, too, have fatigue issues, and also anxiety issues. Because of those things, I am limited. Intense exercise sends my anxiety levels out of control, as does caffeine. I need to keep a pretty good diet, and never push myself too hard in any area. It is what it is.

At 19 I was diagnosed with what Doctors variously termed Chronic fatigue syndrome/Fibromyalgia/Chronic Anxiety Disorder. With IBS thrown in for good measure.

This is very true. If I drank alcohol I’d be a bloated and exhausted mess until the next weekend came around essentially living in a permanent state of illness. And socialising for a young Briton IS alcohol.

It was a cruel paradox. You get well and fit in the hope of meeting people but fat and ill in the only places where that occurred. On the subject of paradoxes alcohol eased my anxiety but then as mentioned exacerbated my symptoms tenfold. How could I lift or run when barely had the energy and confidence to show up for work?

Sometimes I like to look back and curse women for playing me, friendzoning me and just being shedevils who glory in manipulating nice guys only to worship at alpha bad boy cock. But that’s unfair to be honest. My anxiety, LSE and exhausted, bloated body did me far more harm than AWALT.

If I’m gonna hate women I may as well hate most men who whilst hardly being privileged have an immune system and natural confidence level which gives them much more opportunities to play the game.

Of course this was before the explosion of Tinder etc where you can ideally fuck without having to socialise in a traditional way.

The major positive however is whilst the party seems to be over for some men im in my thirties and feel more 18 than I ever did at 18. I know enjoy things I never did as youngster. I give myself a break and stop beating myself up. Good moods now being the rule not the exception.

try losing weight, get out of your depression and look into thyroid hormone replacement. alot of people get diagonsed with that diagnosis when things could have been done. Do you inflammation markers checked?. thyroid, T3. T4. reverse T3? testosterone? Prolactin (heightened can be a result of depression and brain chemistry inbalance). Sorry I am going to shit on you and might be massively downvoted but fuck it, you need to hear it. I don't know if Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a real thing or not, but I will take your word for it and assume that there is something physically that stops you from going to the gym and getting a career.

This makes me assume that you live with your parents(?) or with some other family member. This is bad, real bad. It is better, at least as a man to live in a shitty apartment out in nowhere than to depend on your parents for housing. If you are still living at home well into 20s it will severely affect your future as self-reliant. My first own living at 18 was with a bunch of drug dealers and criminals, not saying you should do that (you shouldn't) but it did make me work very hard for a better life.

What do you do all day? Assuming you spend all day at home and not working and not lifting you must be doing something. Judging by some other comments you are playing video games, possibly the worst thing you could do. Why not start learning day trading on the stock market? You could learn to make money with a small investment growing it into something, BAM you're the provider. Learn to play chess and when you can handle that, learn to play Go. Learn languages online, read books, not at home but go to places; the park, the coffee shop or the library. Eventually you will start noticing other people that are also there reading and they will notice you too. Perhaps a cute girl is also into reading and is reading in the same coffee shop where you do, eventually you go up to her and ask her about her book and bam you are in.

Fine, you won't be chad. But at least you can be a well read, skillful chess player that knows your way around some languages. That is more than most of us can.

I'm no doc, but I'd say something is broken in your head. And you need to fix that ASAP. You got stuck in a specific, unhealthy mental place and can't get out and you most likely don't even notice it.

This reminds me of my dad in some way. He was a strong man, body builder as a young guy, worked as a nurse for decades, highly professional and so on. At some point his mom (my grandma) developed Alzheimers. Since he was a trained nurse, he took care of her herself. The emotional burden was so high, even as a man with decades of experience in that field, he couldn't do it anymore. He literally couldn't lift his mom out of her bad to take care of her. Imagine that: a strong, fit man could not lift a frail 80-90lbs women out of her bad anymore. Someone who lifted 200+lbs people for a living, the whole day.

In other words: His mind was under so much pressure, his body simply stopped listening to him. Even though he continued to function otherwise, he simply could not help her anymore. His body literally stopped his movements.

I'd assume your body does the same. Personally, I had very low energy episodes, too. Deep down, I know something is....wrong. Broken. I've yet to fix it. After a decade being stuck there, I can at least tell I'm more or less voluntarily stuck there. It's not my body that doesn't function, it's my mind that doesn't allow my body to work as it should. And it does that for reasons.

This indeed does fuck with my body, too. But the main culprit is me not being able to move on. To be stuck in the past for some reasons I can not even articulate.

'm not a medical expert or anything, so take it with a grain of salt. But I'd say something unhinged in your head in a very unhealthy way and you need to figure out what it is and get it back in place ASAP. Being ok with that is wrong.

You are what you are right now and that is how it is. But your body most likely isn't broken. It's your subconscious mind. It prevents you from interacting with the world for some reason. It drains all your energy. You are a dead man walking. You are a prisoner of your own mind instead of a free man. That is not ok.

The only big problem is how to even realize what is holding you back, what kind of constrains you are in. You can't fight invisible chains.

This is a question of understating yourself. Of being closely connected with your body and my. Maybe you should start meditation or something. It's not without side-effects, but it might help. I'd say you need a biiiig step to get out of that shitshow again. In the same way you just...collapsed for no reason. This might be dangerous, I don't know. It's up to you.

Meditation got me to the point where I know what is wrong, deep down in my stomach. I just have to do "it", whatever that might be. It will fix itself in my case, if I only allowed it to happen. Took me years of work though to get to that point.

This thread is for me and I'm glad I'm not alone.

Me: I'm 30 years old. Only got laid twice in my life, (but I don't care about that as the past is the past and you can't change it.) Had some mental health and developmental issues. The old me used to whine and bitch. The old me used to hope for someone to come around. The old me used to get angry when rejected. The old me is dead now, and I'm working on the new me. I'm glad I found TRP and not to just get women, but to improve myself as a man.

As for being lazy, I'm kind of on the same page as you OP. I work a full time job, earning 29k a year with nothing to show for it. I'm just debt free right now. I could have brain fog. No creative entrepreneurial ideas or any clue on making more money. So, I just work on things that I know I can work on. Lifting and doing core exercises. My trainer at the gym also helps me.

What I found by lifting, is the next day, I've noticed getting more attention. (effect of testosterone?)

I live in this world alone. My mom died when I was 3, so I don't know what it's like to use a mom as a financial resource or emotional support. Seeing that I'm still alive, it didn't feel like I didn't really need it. Sure, I got depressed in the past, but now I know depression comes from negative thoughts, but I had more of those because I didn't lift. Sure I won't be chad. Maybe I won't be ripped. Maybe I won't be rich, but I'll be better than I used to be thanks to TRP. Just whatever you do, don't let fear hold you back. Always take a chance.

Ultimately I went down a pathway called 'nutrigenomics'. My new doctor who has a background in nutrition, got me off wheat and dairy, then took some blood tests and found I was deficient in pretty much everything. He got me on zinc, magnesium, omega 3's, probiotics and vitamin D.

It's expensive, all of my spare income was devoted to it, but now I feel like a rockstar and have a healthy contempt for the soyboy western diet.

10/10 recommend it before you consider nootropics or medication.

all you have to do is find a hobby/activity/job you like, get into it, start doing more things..

Just start weight lifting OP, if you don't already. If you dothen try to focus on bodybuilding/powerlifting, set yourself a goal, make a program, follow it e.g. if you bench 1 plate now, set a goal to bench 2 by the end of 2018 and work your self towards it..

gym is a good tool to fight depression, as working out increases your testosterone, metabolism, endorphin release.. Gym is a self rewarding and self accomplishing hobby..

e.g. as you progress with weights/body transformation you will feel rewarded and feel better..

I mean from the comments you sound quite gay, and beta af (no offence), but it is pure depression, start focusing on something and it will go away..

try adhd meds like dmaa, Ritalin.. but then if you are weak minded and have low consciousness they might destroy you...

So just focus on your hobbies, if you think you don't have enough energy for better gym workout, try to get some gym preworkouts, this shit will get anyone pumped for a workout, but also make sure you don't any BP or heart problems, and be careful with caffeine sensitivity by starting with small doses e.g. quarter of a dose
