I wish her name could be attached to this so that any bro that dated her would understand where he ranks with her. For her, it’s like this: 1. Her Ex 2. Empty 3. Empty 4. Anybody not her ex. No matter what, even if you married her, her ex could have her with a text message.

[–]mustangfrankSlick Willy peddlin' a broken hamster wheel 151 points152 points153 points 4 years ago* (19 children) | Copy Link

She is damaged beyond repair. I feel sorry of any man who gets involved with her. She is some man's heartbreak. He will put the effort in and she can't get over the her ex. She is poison, just like in the song.

[–]Aaod 73 points74 points75 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

The insane thing is even if he literally doesn't exist anymore due to say being dead she will still compare all other guys she dates to him and treat them badly because in her eyes they are not good enough. It doesn't matter the only way she could get back with him is necrophilia you still get treated like fucking dirt. Can you imagine any guy doing this just because he once dated a hot woman? Hell no that would be fucking insane, but somehow women have this phenomenon.

[–]Mundane_Worldliness7Sr. Hamster Analyst 47 points48 points49 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

It’s funny you mentioned death, you aren’t joking either. There is a post on here wherein a single mother wouldn’t allow her fiancé to say he was her child’s father, that honor belonged to the child’s dead drug addict of a dad.

[–]Aaod 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I still remember some dudes flair in I think it was some some other subreddit that was "refused to play second fiddle to saint overdose." because I felt it so accurately sums up how these women treat the dude they are currently dating and the dude who alpha widowed them. How in the fuck can you still be madly in love with a scumbag who didn't even treat you well and repeatedly overdosed eventually dying from it much less using that as a reason to treat your current partner badly.

I just do not get it my first long term girlfriend was hot and way out of my league, but I didn't use that as a reason to treat the other women I dated who were not even half as hot as her badly and I didn't compare them to her.

[–]Mundane_Worldliness7Sr. Hamster Analyst 26 points27 points28 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Now that you mentioned it, this Latina chick I was interested in has her Instagram covered in pictures of a dead ex who died under some such circumstances. To marry a war widow would be one thing, to be second fiddle to a dead POS would really anger me.

[–]ronoda12 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Women like bad boys and thugs. Nice guys get STD rotten used up left overs. It is backed by studies too that show psychopathic personality is more attractive to women. There is no point in trying to change women, most men should just leave them to their misery and biology and emotions and let them face the consequences of their choices.

[–]SnakeEyeskid 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, psychopathy is genetical and would have been gone if there were not women who seeks those kind of traits.

So ye, they might complain but, the men available are shape by womens sexual selektion through out our species history.

[–]Vikingbeard1Jr. Hamster Analyst 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And the number one predictor of an abusive man is...if his mom abused him.

[–]SnakeEyeskid 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh a fellow viking. If I might add a personal anecdote. A good father is able to counteract the effects of an abusive Mother.

It took me 31y to see my dad smile. Us kids were out and he had moved on from my Mother by then. This shockingly made my Mother go insane. Yes ofc she left him and spent years sustaining on schadenfreude, misandry and racism.

In just a year I gotten a better relationship with my dad and his brothers and I do think Im much better as a person for it.

Mothers who hate men rly can make you hateful towards women (ok she doesnt rly like anyone other then herself and money). I could have been one for sure. But I did have a dad that sacrificied his own happiness for us children.

My doc is just amazed on how my mental health has improved as has my life and Im mainly in therapy (male therapist to get help solving, not dwelling on problems) to deal with the traumas caused.

Like I have xanax prescribed but its "If needed" which only been used when my Mother has refused to accept that we are no longer family.

A Mother can rly mess you up if they want to... If dad hadnt been around I definitly would have died with a needle in my arm feeling sorry for myself.

[–]PirateDocBrown 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can you imagine? She no doubt calls herself and her kid a "package deal", and likely actively recruited the dude to step into the stepdad role, but he doesn't even get to claim that honor. What a load of crap.

Nope, it was this very subreddit. /u/kidruhil has that flair.

Yes Sir. That was one helluva learning experience.

I now try to teach all guys that despite them having less of a slutty reputation, actual widows are a horrible choice for men to try and pair up with.

In effect, there exactly like the alpha widow in this example. They just have a far less visible web for unsuspecting guys to become trapped by.

Biological from caveman times. The ex is a the caveman alpha who undoubtedly was playing her along with 5-7 other women minimum but that doesn’t matter. You could cure cancer and you wouldn’t compare.

Better yet.

Often these dudes are shit and just played some game for an hour or two to get in her pants. She elevates him to godhood when in reality he is lower value then all the beta men she thinks are lower then her.

I posted in this thread about my ex who was alpha widowed by a guy named Paul. I assure you, 25 years later, she’d fly to his city if he asked in a simple text message. No question, no thinking about her current relationships or obligations. In her mind, she’s always been with him, and always will be.

[–]Mundane_Worldliness7Sr. Hamster Analyst 66 points67 points68 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

That’s why I run from such women. I say scan their social media, if it’s full of uber Chad’s, let her go immediately (unless you are a Chad). Or, if all her ex’s look extremely different from you (i.e you are a 5’5” Asian Bro, and all her ex’s are white Abercrombie and Fitch Types).

It’s important to know, nobody wants to be somebody’s rebound or place holder. To get really nerdy, nobody wants to be a Dooku while the master waits for Anakin to come along.

[–]Bob_and_Virginiabeware of Shawskank Redemption 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But Dooku in his younger days was The Man with the Golden Gun! He got scores of hot women whereas lame Anakin only got that whiny Amygdala, became way too attached to her and basically threw his life away. Dooku wins.

Years from now you’ll be the most glad of what you said no to, and if you have any regrets, they will be the times you said yes when you should have said no.

[–]Sumpm 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I used to work with a woman like that. Her high school boyfriend played her so bad, basically got her to make his Mustang GT payments for most of the loan, cheated on her constantly (and she knew it), and then dumped her for a string of women that he just wanted to fuck. She eventually married a family man, had 3 kids, a nice house, he does everything you'd expect from a husband and father, but she never stopped talking about her ex. I knew the guy, so I knew what a piece of shit he was, and I lost any respect I may have had for her, after listening to her talk about how much she missed him for years.

[–]Goldmansachs3030 41 points42 points43 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

her ex could have her with a text message.

This. And then she will always compare during their time together, plus the blame will be on him for all things she is doing wrong. We have seen plenty of examples, the penis size comparison and how people encouraged him that "it is fine" for one, pathetic sleeping losers, and yeah, in any other task he never did but the current guy would do.

[–]Mundane_Worldliness7Sr. Hamster Analyst 48 points49 points50 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You know what will make her really mad? When her ex, who allegedly didn’t want to get married, marries some 26 year old thing and she starts cranking out kids.

[–]User0x00G-18 points 4 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

her ex could have her with a text message.

But on the bright side, there is spyware you can get for phones now that tracks the phone...sends you all their message contents...sends you their call logs...notifies you of anything they post on social media...can turn on their camera and microphone remotely and without the light going on.

A bit of creative imagination and you could create mayhem with that knowledge.

I'm not posting any links to such software because anyone who genuinely wanted it needs to slow down and first Google what their local laws say about recording others...then if your not going to be violating the law go find the software.

Many years ago I had a girlfriend who was deeply in love with a friend of mine — a guy who looked like Brad Pitt. He had pity fucked her once or twice before she and I got together, and that was all it took to ruin her FOREVER.

Throughout our whole relationship she loudly complained about all the ways I wasn’t like him. Actual quotes: “Paul’s so loving — not like you. Paul’s so playful — not like you. Paul’s so spontaneous — not like you. Paul’s so creative — not like you.” And, oh yeah, “Paul’s dick is bigger than yours.”

Lots of words to say “Paul’s an incredibly handsome guy.”

Now, 25 years later, she’s never been married. She’s all over any post he makes on facebook. A few times in the sack with him LITERALLY RUINED HER for any other man. I mean, she’s had other relationships, but she in her 60s now and nothing’s stuck.

Because of handsome, handsome Paul.

I’m curious — is there a cure for being Alpha Widowed? (Aside from a better alpha, that is.)

[+]wiwoo62 points 4 years ago* [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

Probably some sort of therapy, but the core of the problem is motivation. You can hear it in the way people talk about the ex they can’t get over - they don’t want to get over them. Being with the super duper ex was a high point of their ego - they can’t get over them without letting go of that ego boost. It’s an aspirational self, the version of them that was with that ex.

[–]otter6461a 45 points46 points47 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah she doesn’t want to get over him — she wants him

[–]ProfaneMonkeyCapers 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Couple that with the "Nostalgia ain't what it used to be" phenomenon where the highs of the past are enhanced in memory while the lows are forgotten... you end up with this impossible to satisfy need for something that you're sure you used to have but never existed outside your own imagination and yearning.

[–]Ok-Adeptness4906 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Therapy only works for those who want to change, and even then it's not guaranteed.

[–]AmbitiousHornet 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well said. Unfortunately for her, every minute a clock ticks down her SMV and she will never again be able to get someone as good as her ex. She's doomed and poisoned and beware any Chad/Tyrone that tangles with her, it will be a road to their ruination.

[–]Chgralac73 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i doubt that. some serious hypnosis reprogramming would be only thing i think might work.

aside that i know Russians do a risky brain operation to remove addiction, where they remove some part of brain from drug addicts and it works 100% (if operation doesnt kill them)

I've been with my wife for 20 years.

I'm amazed we can stand each other.

She has a tendency to nag. She's just good at finding things to bitch about. I suggested that she should apply to work for the police department and hand out parking citations.

I'm not a perfect guy either: I'm not handsome, I don't make top dollar, and I have my own flaws, of course. But I am aware of this and I forgive her her flaws just as I forgive my own. I love my daughter because she's my daughter. In other words, I am the glue that holds the family together. Because of me, she has a family and she, to her credit, recognizes this. She understands that unless a man was perfect, she'd be unhappy no matter what and even then, she'd blow it anyway.

This was why in the past women were ASSIGNED husbands by their fathers and family. She didn't have the luxury of banging the hottest guys in the village and then maybe thinking about settling down and getting a welfare check. If she didn't aggressive snag the best man in the village (not waiting to be asked out, but rather socializing ruthlessly), then her father and family would "Yenta her up" someone and she'd settle.

That being said, despite my wife finding millions of things to complain about, she understands that she has everything she should want: A lovely daughter, vacations, a stable life, an extended family.

The "cure" for women's natural inclination to shoot their own foot is the magical word "no!" (must be used often!) and to remind them that they need us more than we need them.

My wife tried the silent treatment on me ONCE. OK, maybe twice. But she saw I considered it a vacation.

[–]Harry_TeakSr. Hamster Analyst 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't think that the answer is a return to the days in which women were openly treated as chattel. Your wife's bitching is more likely a product of exposure to the various media that encourage her to be dissatisfied with what she's got and, I'm sure, the coaching of her female friends.

But she saw I considered it a vacation.

Heh, yep. I've had that one tried on me too with the same results. They think it's a punishment instead of a well-earned break.

[–]polishknightusaSr. Winged Hussar 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I send my daughter for a time out to her room and she thinks it's worse than solitary confinement. I LOVED being in my room. :-)

For all the talk of how horrid women were treated ,blah blah blah, and "chattel", compare and contrast to how society and feminism treats US.

Heck, consider whether children are better off a century later despite, IMO, good things about laws against child abuse but at the same time, more kids wind up in single mother homes. One step forward...

[–]Harry_TeakSr. Hamster Analyst 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even more relevant would be a discussion about how third-wave feminism treats women and how it conditions them to think about themselves. Whip that monster and the rest would fall into place I think.

But yeah, you're preaching to the choir with that last line. One step forward and a few gigantic leaps backward doesn't really amount to progress. Especially when what tends to qualify as child abuse is so highly politicized.

[–]I_actually_prefer_ 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

obviously lots of problems with the way it was done but restriction on mate selection For females literally built civilization as the every day person could exchange his labor/are Ed services for marriage and a family. If it were the way it is now, none of that would get built

[–]polishknightusaSr. Winged Hussar 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The illusion of "free love" and dating is that what it takes to "hook up" with someone are the skills it take for a lifetime in a family. It's the literal title of his channel.

Quid-pro-quo prostitution where men engage in exchange of services/gifts for sexual access or women rut with hot chads is pre-civilization behavior similar to most animals rutting in the forest. The difference in lifespan between "domesticated" and "feral" animals is significant: Sometimes many times greater than normal. The so-called oppression of women was the foundation of civilization as you put it.

This begs the question "Why do women sleep with chad?" and the answer is they don't think it through because if they saw what single mothers went through, they wouldn't. But they think that the whole relationship is defined by the courtship process because for animals in the forest, it was. They lacked that cognitive ability. That's why I really loved this old tomcat of mine. He seemed to have this understanding and appreciation for how wonderful people, particular me, was. That he knew we were his friends and his loyalty was amazing (and he "talked" in his own language.)

Women are simply not being educated about relationships and what they are receiving is the most poisonous, harmful advice imaginable. As a father of a girl, it's my obligation to educate her. I'm not indoctrinating her. I give her the "why" in addition to the "how".

Go on bitchute and look up "stefan molyneux daughter emma watson". His 11 year old girl is more mature than 30 something women.

[–]mustangfrankSlick Willy peddlin' a broken hamster wheel 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

All what you say it true. I was a wingman for a Chad. Women were nothing but cum dumpsters to him, yet they would line up around the block to be used.

Ha ha when I was younger I had a friend who was one of my close friends. He had everything a woman wanted 6’3”, looks, but was so fucking dumb. I was the shorter funnier dude who would wing for this dude. Looking back he would slay the hell out of every single girl in our city. He would get mad though when the few girls would throw themselves at me. To the point of going behind my back and taking shit about me to just straight sabotaging shit. Even to this day I haven’t talked to this guy in decades. But he seems to DM my baby momma once a year. Trying to see how we are doing 😏🤣 brah why not DM me? Never seems to get old 🤣🤣🤣

My wife tried the silent treatment on me ONCE. OK, maybe twice. But she saw I considered it a vacation.

That's an incredibly common occurrence.

There was a scene on an episode of Scrubs in which Jordan kept yammering at Dr. Cox, and Dr. Cox explained to whoever it was that asked (JD? I don't remember), that Jordan has figured out years ago that he enjoyed the silent treatment, and so took to giving him the opposite.

My wife laughed harder at the look of sheer horror on my face than at anything in that episode.

is there a cure for being Alpha Widowed?

No cure for the females. But a cure for men would be: It takes the collective of men to IGNORE / SHUN women such as these. I am doing my part and have been for years. Others need to follow same. Men need to have better PRIDE! Stop chasing women many of whom are "damaged goods".

I still remember slut shaming and kicking cheaters out of our friend circle. this at least showed them some limits, even if it was certainly not perfect. also they needed male friend circles otherwise they would sit alone at home. there were always women with us when I went out with my buddies.

Is there a cure? Doubtful, since alpha widowdom is really just another effect of the behaviors we discuss in this sub, behaviors that are not officially seen as harmful.

I'd go so far as to say that most women with any sexual experience are alpha widows to one degree or another. There's always going to be that guy that did it so much better than the current guy lurking in the backs of their minds. The degree to which they let this affect them determines just how alpha widowed they are.

This chick is obviously one of the more extreme cases. I'm sorry you had to go through that, but it does sound like she spent plenty of time explaining just what the score was.

I would dump her, but not in private, in a party, in front of everyone. I would make a big display of rejection so she learns the lesson.

Marrying a taliban should do the trick, they have a proven track record of de-emphasizing the importance of "chemistry" or "consent" in marriage. Plus, despite having beards slightly longer than the New Yorker's recommended grooming, they have an aura of winners.

I think this attitude is less prevalent on men since we’re so used to ‘sexual competition’ we tend to know our real market value. Not only me, most of my friends has had partners or sexual encounters with women more physically attractive than them and didn’t have a problem dating/marrying far less beutiful women afterwards.

Or maybe we just tend to be more pragmatic and accept what are the things that actually make us happy.

Why do people here call a person who simply looks good an alpha? There are other things involved i being an alpha too. I think that American culture emphasizes beauty too much and pushes the idea to women that they can only be happy with the handsome man. I once found a girl that was with a handsome man but she left him because he was boring and didn't put much effort into the relationship and was very possessive and jealous. Then she found another less handsome man and she seems genuinely excited to be with him.

I must admit that I have dated a couple of women that were so f***ing drop dead gorgeous that when things ended even well above average women didn't impress me. It's like driving a Ferrari for a year and then being given a Mustang. The Mustang is nice, it will get you where you need to go and is also fast...but it's not a Ferrari. I think it's human nature to experience something or get accustomed to something and subconsciously feel we deserve that 24/7. The issue comes when a person that has driven a Ferrari thinks they deserve to drive a Ferrari all the time and won't settle for a Mustang.

This post is a prime example of a woman who has such a skewed vision of herself she is going to push all Mustangs and Corvettes away hoping a Ferrari picks her again. In 5 years she'll be posting to Reddit crying because only 1972 AMC Pacers want her; and even they don't want a commitment.

I went through the same thing with business class. Ahhhh, to sit in a comfortable lounge, with a pretty girl playing piano, and an open bar and stretching out with the newspaper and a cocktail and relaxing before a flight where I get my jacket hung up with the steward who addresses me by name, then a pre-flight drink.

Now I travel in economy class with my wife and daughter and close to the screaming kids. :-)

I drive better cars and then find my 20 year old car less pleasurable but at the same time, I am ok with it because it is MINE and I know it and it gets me where I need to go. I also take a pride in taking care of it.

And that's perhaps what is the factor: I CARE for more than just a singular pleasurable experience. I CARE for OTHERS. I like caring for the old car and taking care of the crying kid.

Having sex with hot people (which I've done as well) is a different experience than taking care of others. I'm not a 1972 AMC Pacer fan but man, a 1972 Polski Fiat? I wouldn't mind one of those at all.

Such women don't have relationships with such men. These men are OBJECTS to them, to be used and consumed, much like men have been accused of acting. It's projection.

[–]ArrowGantOne[🍰] 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

As I own a 1970 Mach I Mustang I neither hate Mustangs (or non-Ferrari's) and I too am the type to get attached to my old car. I cannot legally put a car seat in that car, so I have shied away from adding kids, lol. But I get your point.

And yeah, you could buy a top of the line brand new Bugatti. But if it breaks down all the time, if you do out to the garage and your Bugatti is sampling the dipstick from your Audi, if you can't find your Bugatti because it's always driving off and ending up in someone else's garage; that car sucked straight off the factory assembly line. Looks great, hassle to own. Think tits on a stick Instagram influencer.

As for Fiats, I was told by a mechanic in Florence Italy that FIAT stands for, "Fix It Again Tony". He encouraged me to buy one because he had a nice beach house he had his eye on.

Women have to pay more for cars (the female "tax") because many of them aren't into basic maintenance like men are. I know how to get repairs done reasonably well on the cheap. Two examples: My 7 year old Hyundai Elantra was making noise. Took it quickly to a free-estimate shop that told me a mere $1200 to replace the WHOLE exhaust system because the flex-joint to the exhaust manifold had worn out. I did some research and found one I could order from Canada for $40. They asked for $300 then to cut the pipe and put in. I took it to "my guy" whose a bit of a drive and he charged me $60 for the install.

6 years later the darn joint went again. Another $40 and $100 to install (because it was more of a hassle to get the seal right, he said.)

Another 6 years and another $140.00

My wife sideswiped her new tires from Costco. In February in 10 degree (F) weather. Oh, and she was 7 months pregnant. So I run over and note that my spare is the same size as hers. I take off the front blown tire, and put her rear non-blown tire on. Then drop both spares onto the back and drove to Costco. They replaced the tires under warranty FOR FREE. Who needs a tow? Oh, and a local tire shop probably wouldn't have fixed the tires either and what a mess.

There's a pleasure in life in getting things done creatively and taking care of things. My wife even has a (begrudging) admiration for my old car in that when we burn 700 miles to drive to Myrtle Beach, she wants it on my car rather than her nice one.

I took a pretty big hit myself. I was renting half of a huge beautiful home, 2 car garage, in the suburbs. I had a car so new that I was the 12th person in the country to buy that model and the 1st one to insure one on Geico so they had to enter everything manually. I was living a good life.

Ended up selling the car for something cheaper (I really didn't need that much car, and got an extra 18k in my pocket for the trade). I moved into a 400 square foot place. I don't have a washer and dryer yet. I'll never have the super-huge versions I had at my last place. I don't have a dishwasher. My fridge doesn't have a spot on the front to give me water/ice without opening the door. Heck, I don't even have an ice machine. If you look at things on a luxury view I took a massive step down. But I was hones

But that fridge that doesn't have an ice maker? It's mine. The kitchen with no dishwasher? Mine. The spot where a washer and dryer can go? Mine. I gave up a life of luxury for a life that's mine, and I'm so much happier than when I was renting and making car payments.

I don't think most women would be able to rationalize that. Why should their life get worse when it doesn't have to? What's the advantage of getting her own place if she has to hire men to do all the basics?

no, it was more of a lightweight off road SUV, with a bodywork in ABS plastic (that could be replaced with fiberglass), in 2WD or 4WD.
It was based on the Dyane, shared elements from the 2CV & Ami, and was almost impossible to break.

It's a vintage collectible car nowadays, incredibly tough (even the army used it), and really fun to drive... If you don't want to go fast but need to go off road from time to time that is.

Neither of those create "pair bonding mechanisms" in humans. A temporary drug? Sure. However, the study you're referring to references prairie voles. Can you find a peer-reviewed study that indicates this mechanism in humans? Nope.

That shit isn't even junk science. It's even below "bro science". It's a bargainers fantasy at absolute best. Straight rubbish.

Guess what? She ain't gonna magically bond to you and become the fantasy you've always dreamed of. It might promote the bovine scatology line of "pair bonding maintenance behaviors" in a specific monkey. But even that ain't pair bonding. We are not monogamous, mate-for-life animals.

But hey, if you have a proper peer-reviewed study, whip it out. Prove me wrong.

[–]Captainbuttman 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Scientists study prairie voles because some of the neurochemistry is similar. Namely Oxytocin and Vasopressin. And also because of their lifespan means scientists can study many generations in a much shorter time.

But I think the biggest reason they study them is because they display behavior that parallels monogamous relationships in humans.

Humans have a dual mating strategy, exclusivity and promiscuity.

At least that unproven hypothesis has some scientific backing to it compared to your junk science. By all means, produce a study that supports anything you've said, but you can't. Producing journalistic opinion pieces written by old worn-out feminists doesn't count.

This is what's happening with my ex and if she's any indication of anything then there's no hope. We were both each other's firsts for pretty much everything, been together for a good couple of years and starting dating when were just old enough to know what we were doing and had little to no problems when we were in the relationship

By all counts we should still be together to this date but we broke up 2 years ago because she wanted kids and I didn't. The MGTOW sub was the final push I needed to break up with her and without a shadow of a doubt if it wasn't for that sub, I'd probably be engaged or married and most likely have my own place all by the age of 20 and that is fucking scary to think about it.

Since our breakup, she's texted me a few times despite her already having a boyfriend and now they've broken up and a month back she saw me when I was out and literally started chasing me. She's also gained weight, got a bunch of tattoos and she looks about 30. To say I dodged a bullet is an understatement but a part of me does wonder whether that is all because we broke up and it's just been downhill for her from there.

Understand where you're coming from but we had an amicable split so she wasn't ruined when we broke up. It wasn't in any way messy and we both understood at the time that due to differing opinions of kids it was best to part ways.

She stayed on top of stuff like weight of her own accord, why she let herself go since then I don't know. Also that's the one thing we didn't do, we both came from heavily religious backgrounds and we both accepted sex was something until after marriage.

We were going to break up regardless and near the time I also discovered MGTOW and yeah it probably was a perfect scenario but only back then. Who knows how things will be 5, 10, 15 years from now? None of that compares to the fact that she could I end up hating my life and have it possibly ruined and there's not much I can do about it.

It also may be the perfect scenario for you to have a near perfect woman who checks all the boxes and sure it might feeling like winning the lottery but having a woman or not doesn't define success for me. Sure for most guys it'll be nice but equally I'm good on my own.

[–]polishknightusaSr. Winged Hussar 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I dated a very traditional (in the classic sense) woman and she wanted to know within a week where I stood on marriage, kids, and buying her crap. I explained that me being a stable provider for my children and wife meant I didn't have to take (or give) any "crap" in any form whatsoever. She gave that a thought and we've been together 20 years.

It astonishes me this modern concept of "dating" where a woman acts like a ho' getting men to give her food for sex like a cavewoman prostitute, they hang out and have fun for a couple of months, even years, and THEN, and ONLY THEN, AFTER PAIRBONDING, discuss critical issues.

I told women that if they thought this game that favors alpha male PUAs stank, they should try a new one. But they love being a cavewoman food prostitute.

You are so right. They are programmed to play into the PUA trap and cry a river when they end up on the curb. Men are very clear about the distinction between arousal/tingles and attraction/compatibility, women generally are not. Your wife was an exception. She focused up front on attraction/compatibility.

Raising a 5 year old girl involves me much of the time educating her that: life is uncomfortable. That much of our lives involves living in discomfort to avoid GREATER discomfort and to get pleasure, we have to INCREASE our discomfort (working, putting up with shit) and for adults, living in discomfort is basically an obligation.

Roosh refers to single women as endorphin addicts like lab rats pushing buttons to get hits of cocaine. Granted, simps are in the same boat particularly when they CONTINUE to hit the buttons and run through the mazes AFTER there's no longer any payout (or heck, even no payout at all.) Or Pavlov's dog when you've sufficiently trained the dog to salivate and no longer need to even provide treats.

The vibing and chemistry is completely happening on her end. Never in the history of mankind, since Grug was living in the cave, has a man ever talked about a woman he was hot for in terms of vibing and chemistry with a girl. Even Grug was telling the boys he met some girl-slur from the other cave and the funky caveman moves he got to do before he bailed out of there. The way women feel arousal (alpha) cues is not the same way men would feel it because arousal cues for men are all physical but arousal cues for women have a strong psychological element. Women will talk about their one night stands in the frame of how they were vibing, hitting it off and feeling chemistry. That’s her feelings generated from the alpha cues she picked up on. It’s why the pump and dump shocks a woman after vibing with him the whole night.

Didn’t you read? She’s totally over him. It’s in between the bits about how amazing he is

This is one of the many reasons why men don't like a woman with a "past".

[–]Joaquino7997 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Often times when women pine over men like this right in front of me, she is immediately disqualified as a relationship prospect. Either we're banging that day and/or I'm walking away.

[–]karimamin 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She's been imprinted for life. No matter who she is with, she will always think about her ex. Only cure would be to find that Chad that imprinted her and stab him in the side at midnight on a Thursday with a cross doused in holy water

[–]Loud-Bottle-7879 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

More people need to learn about the imprint. This is key.

[–]ringsellerJr. Hamster Analyst 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

she says "chemistry" like it's a 2-way thing

bullshit, it refers to her attraction to him and nothing else

"It was about his looks first and foremost, but it was about more than that. He was hot, too. I am over him except I spend every waking minute thinking about him now and I won't accept another boyfriend if they look worse than Thor."

That bout cover it?

[–]KamadoJonathan 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly like the show sex/life on netflix. If you haven't seen it, the woman is basically a CC rider, settles down with the PERFECT man (handsome, loving, provides, etc) and she still fantasizes about her toxic abusive ex. In the end, she goes to her ex and begs him to fuck her.

[–]I_actually_prefer_ 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No surprise women love that show.

[–]Chgralac73 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

so there is a Korean drama on Netflix called Nevertheless. its such a compilation of red pill that it covers everything from above.

a young woman whose single mother had BFs come in and out and even bailed on her daughters literal birthday to spend a night with a BF, becomes an artist like her aunt.

Are they all alpha widows at this point? And what’s the point of an average Joe’s entertaining these “women”?

[–]ItsJustMeMaggie 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does she not realize that actually falling in love with someone makes you want to have hot sex with them, regardless of their traits and what they look like?

[–]peguy2000 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Got a ex thats also like that. She still to this day writes me emails about wanting to get back together and telling me how not even one guy compares to me.

I guarantee she was a 5 or 6 at best and boxed way above her weight limit so to speak.

I find the "I swear I'm not shallow but" comment hilarious.

It can't be that we lesser men were right all along and personality should matter more than looks?

Gasp.

Horror.

Women should get everything they want at all times for reasons!

I hope her ex is having the time of his life.

Funny how it's often these women who have all these extreme convoluted expressions of desire like "I love him but I am not in love with him" or "Our chemistry is off the charts but we are not compatible" like what the fuck?

Either you want to be with him or you don't. Full stop.

she will never see a therapist for this too and bring that baggage into the next guy she meets … if your not gonna fix/ pass inspection on your car , don’t be out on the road with it

[–]AkaSoldier 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When women say “chemistry” they usually just mean the guy was attractive (and had at least decent charisma)

[+]anykah_baduopen-minded, not-easily-offended wahmyns 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This phenomenon seems like an addiction to me. They get that high from being with a guy that's movie-perfect. That feeling of "I made it in life". Doesn't matter if they're even compatible, just matters what it felt like at some point. Then they keep chasing that first high forever like a drug addict, and their total lack of knowledge about brain chemistry doesn't help

In my opinion you have to take chemistry with the biggest grain of salt. Amazing chemistry may feel intoxicating but it doesn't really mean anything (or not necessarily anything good). Sometimes it just means "that guy has a really high charisma stat", or "I respond well to his social status / the imaginary dream of a life I think he offers me"

In the end, you only need a little spark when you've got the right materials and enough fuel for the fire to burn for a long time

[–]Robotemist 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's funny because I think if anything when a man dates a really hot woman it puts him off hot women in the future.

Women find the drama that comes from Chad's invigorating. Men find the headache that comes from fine women tiring.

My wife was recruited my Victoria Secret as a teen. I'm telling you if we divorce, my next woman is going to be average as fuck.

[–]DesertLover17Wahmyns 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She should've done everything within her power to make things work with him. It looks like she had a choice. Women always think they'll meet someone better.
